As the eclipse began, the entire world would change for the Empire of Helios. One resource would disappear: magic, and it would have both a surprising slew of consiquences and lack there of consequences.
The Kaltulfur would be suddenly confused. Why couldn't they have fun with their fire spells and rituals anymore?
The Iapaq would not notice at first, but upon seeing those who had relied on magic loose it would laugh and boast of the wonders of technology.
The Crflbngurs would go crazy, running around wildly not knowing why they felt a sudden absense inside of them, and not knowing what thyey were missing.
The Ephlangar would be filled with fear. To them, magic was pride: it was what made them better than the ordinary Heliphlein! It was what made them superior to all races. Now that they were without it, they felt like the end had come, and thousands flocked the officials to learn what had happened.
The Veliphlan would be sent into confusion. Sure they couldn't use magic, but much of what they relied on did. They were easily set to cope, but they were filled with concern at what on earth was going on. They would be the ones to calm the other races. They would be the saviors of the peoples of Helios.
The Enrakni would recieve the worst blow. They were entirly built around magic. Many who had tried to hide that they were Enrakni would be revealed. Many who used magic as a source of work would be at a ,loss. Many Enrakni would decend into chaos, and yet the cops wouldn't be able to handle them.
However, after long hours of chaos, the races of Helios would calm. They would once again unite: unite to see the world to a new age. What would be the source of this new sentiment?
There was no longer an Aserical Shadow to hide the world from them.
