Title: Well this sounds familiar.
Post by: K2 on August 05, 2012, 11:40:17 PM
It was perfectly sunny on Grey Island, and Grey, the soul occupant of said island, was outside by the grey ocean reading his book which happened to be grey. He had a fine collection of books, but that was his only connection to the outside. Other than that, he was alone here, the guardian of this island, long ago appointed here by Eli. Long ago... Forgotten.

But Grey found things to not be quite ordinarily grey today when suddenly, in the sky above, a flush of white, milky light lit up the sky. Grey immediately stood from his grey chair and looked into the sky, in awe. Was this Eli, returning to relieve him of his service at long last!?

Hikari had just made it to where she could see the gates of Hell, basket in hand, and Fido by her side when she had felt the bridge below her start to rock. Fearing for her safety, she signaled to Fido and took a run for it back the other direction towards Heaven. She did not want to let lord Eli down, but at the same time she never wanted to go to Hell in the first place and the state of such things gave her the perfect excuse not to.

Or so she thought.. Just as she was running back the other direction, the bridge collapsed and the basket fell out of Hikari's hand as she fell from it, poor Fido left to watch as his new friend and master dropped to her doom -or at least that would have been the case had Hikari not had wings which she used to glide up back to the bridge as Fido barked in joy.

Too bad for her and Fido at that moment of relief for both of them they were caught up in the forced teleportation from Hell but were too far from it to be teleported to the Spirit Realm and instead caught the outer edges of the spell and forced somewhere else entirely.

Falling from the sky into what looked like a pale grey ocean is where the two of them found themselves now, lost and confused.

"Well, I'll be damned," Grey muttered, glancing out into the ocean where the two had fallen. He immediately ran inside his shack and found his shotgun. Trespassers!? Not on his watch! Lord Eli had given him a job, and he wasn't going to be the one to fail!

Once Hikari hit the water, she clambered to the surface and grabbed hold of Fido who was dog paddling to stay afloat. Once she mad sure the two of them were not drowning, she stared around her in awe, where were they? "I do not think Lord Eli intended this dear F-f-fido," She spoke aloud as she swam to the shore with Fido following behind. Basket completely forgotten.

The moment they arrived on the shore of the island, Grey burst out of the shack, and pointed the shotgun straight at the two as he shouted, "NOW HOLD UP A DARN MINUTE!" As he stared at the two, though, he could tell... They were messengers from Eli. They had to be! Unless...

"State yer business, ye damn traitors."

"U-u-uh.. um..." Hikari stared straight into the barrel of the gun, scared speechless at what was happening before her. "I..." Luckily Fido wasn't as scared and went to the Aid of Hikari, growling at the many by her side which reassured the poor girl at least some. "Traitor?" She simply asked, dumbfounded.

"Ye be one of them damn whatmajiggers... Followers of Ararus, no doubt. I ain't fallin' for your stupid mind tricks. Now, gimmee one reason not to blow your damn head off!" Grey shouted, waving his gun angrily.

"I-I-I am nothing of the sor-" At that instant Fido leaped forward before Hikari could finish, his jaws clamped around the gun. He refused to let go. The mutt had been an Aralian war dog after all. Defense and an attack was what he was trained to do. This however, just served to horrify Hikari more, who stood up.

"No Fido! Down boy!" Hikari waved her hands. "P-p-please sir! I am here from L-lord Eli! He sent us to Hell and and then the bridge fell, a-and then we found ourselves here!"

But before she could even utter a word, it happened. The very moment the dog's jaws clamped onto the gun, he pulled the trigger. The gun, though, would not simply shoot bullets. It shot a pure, concentrated blast of dimensional energy, right at the dog, at close range.

Hikari screamed at the sight as the dog was blasted into a zillion pieces, tears instantly pouring out her eyes. "H-how could you do that to p-poor Fi-"

Her words were cut short when the Aralian War dog simply reformed out of the bits and pieces coming together like a puzzle and shook the blood off him like it was water. The dog then leapt once again. Hikari stood behind, horrified and feeling just a little bit sick.

"Well damn," Grey retorted, "This just proves it. You're one of 'em Ararus destructioners, ain't ya!? I've heard enough. If I can't kill ya, I'll just make livin' a whole lot worse. NOW INSIDE, BOTH OF YA!"

He motioned for the door of the Shack while keeping his gun aimed at the two.

"Lord Eli sent us!" Hikari eyed the shack, and then the crazy man, followed by Fido who was still standing his ground and growling at the man, the dogs eyes on the gun the entire time. "I mean he sent us to Hell! But we ended up here instead!" With a squeal she clapsed her hands in a begging motion, "Please believe me sir."

"Lord Eli sent you? OH, HOW MARVELOUS!" he shouted, "He must have known how much I wanted company! AND NOW I've got you two all to myself! I promise we're going to love each other forever and ever... Oh, and we can have a family together! This is going to be WONDERFUL! Now inside, both of you, let's go!"

With that, Hikari could take no more and fainted. Fido whined by her side.

When Hikari woke up, she would find herself in a warm bed, her clothes gone and in their place a T-Shirt and a pair of sheer cotton panties. The bedroom itself was large and spacious -- and very luxurious, with gold everywhere -- gold floors, gold walls, gold furniture. The smell of breakfast would be obvious.

Downstairs, Fido would find a large collection of bones at his disposal in the torture chamber.

At the sight of things unfamiliar to her, Hikari could barely contain her surprise as she looked upon the bed and the room that lie around it. What was going on? Where was she? When she had noticed the excessive gold, it only led Hikari to wonder further. The room, it was so.. heavenly. Could this possibly be Eli's room? Could her lord have rescued her?

With this thought in mind Hikari quickly regained her happiness and quickly pulled herself out of the bed and bounded towards the door about to open it when she stopped. With a quick glance down, she suddenly blushed at the realization of what she was wearing. There was no way she could entertain an audience with Lord Eli in such-such immodest wear! No, no, no. First she would have to find her clothes! There was no way Lord Eli could see her this way...

With the former predicament long forgotten and her own assumptions taking priority, Hikaru went to work searching for her clothes within the room.

As she did this, poor Fido howled in sorrow at the master he could no longer protect.

Downstairs, Grey was busy cooking breakfast and humming himself a little tune. As Fido started howling, he shouted, "Quiet down, you mut! It'll be done in a minute!"

He flipped the eggs, in an exagerated movement, flicking his wrist and sending them flying out of the pan, and right back into it as he once more kindled it over the fire. He reached out and grabbed various exotic spices, pouring them seemingly recklessly over the eggs, with no account for how much spice was too much.

Upstairs, Inari would find whatever clothes she wanted would have appeared in the wardrobe before her.

Everything was great this morning... Until the entire island began to shake violently.

(*Hikari)

Hikari had just been about to put on the clothes she had found that she believed to have been her former clothes on when she slipped and fell flat on hr face from the shake of the violent. What was happening now? Where was Lord Eli?! Hikari scrambled up with a scream as she tried to catch her balance through the shaking. Her wings flared out behind her in an attempt to help.

The shouting only made Fido howl more when suddenly his ears perked up as he picked up his masters scream. With a whine, the dog started to bark loudly in attempt to get the attention of anyone that could help.

Dropping what he was doing, Grey rushed up towards Hikari's room, following the sound of screaming... Unfortunately, he forgot to turn off his stove. The kitchen caught aflame and began burning away as the smell of smoke filled the house. But something bigger was going on now, with the shaking and what not.

Rushing up the staircase towards Hikari's room, Grey struggled to keep his balance with the shaking, moving from one side of the staircase to the other, wobbling. Tripping. His hands kept catching his balance, and he was getting pretty bruised up, but he managed his way up.

"Girl!" he shouted, "Girl! Where did you say you were traveling too!?"

At the sound of Grey's voice Hikari froze with fear until she fell flat on her face once more from the shaking. That wasn't Lord Eli at all! In fact.. Her immediately widened and in her fear the events of what had brought her here flashed through her mind bringing back the memory of everything that had happened. "Oh no, oh no, oh no! Fido! I have to find Fido and get out of here! But where did he go.. at the sounds of the man coming up, Hikari let out a small scream before roll under the bed. Hide first. Then find Fido!

"You in there!?" Grey shouted, knocking on the door. The shaking stopped temporarily, now causing smaller tremors, but the energy was still surging through the ground -- it was a temporary calm. It was only a matter of time before things got worse. Much worse.

"This is important, girl! Where did you say the master was sending you?"

Hikari remained hidden, refusing to answer him. Maybe if she hid long enough he would think she wasn't in there and give up. Meanwhile, Fido continued howling and barking up a storm, running back and forth from wall to wall in a frenzy.

"Girl..? Are you alright in there!? I'm coming in! You're decent, right!?"

And with that, he burst into the room as the shaking started again. He had a pale look on his face when he noticed Hikari was... Gone! Where had she gone? And what was with this shaking? She said that Lord Eli had been sending her somewhere... Which could only mean...

"Master Eli," he sighed, "Be safe."

He feared the worst. North must have been destroyed, and because the bridge that Hikari had been traveling on had crashed into the ocean outside his island, it meant that the resounding effects were happening here. He knew very well that he couldn't leave his post, but if this girl was telling the truth, he had to get her back to Eli's side.

He knew of one way out, a way that long ago had been used by visitors. He just had to find Hikari.

Even when the shaking had subsided, Hikari stayed hidden. She could sense Fido's agitation as the dog ran around howling up a storm in response to being unable to help her, but she tried her best to keep her breathing quiet and her fear down. Oh! When was he going to leave?! Hikari clenched her eyes shut as she waited beneath the bed, all of her focus on staying quiet.

The shaking did eventually subside. However; because of all the commotion in the kitchen when the shaking had started.... The entire house was on fire now. The fire system came on and water began to spray down in every room from the ceiling to put out the fire.

When she could no long hear the man, Hikari slowly rolled to the edge of below the bed and dared to peak out from under it to see if the room was empty yet, hear breathing still controlled.

Downstairs, Grey was hard at work trying to put out the fire. The room that Hikari was in was quiet.
