Title: LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU
Post by: UnStellar on August 31, 2012, 11:52:47 AM
The Initiation was about to begin, and nobody knew what was coming. In front of a minor politicians offices building stood 12 men in black robes, with a mysterious red emblem reminiscent of an elephant appearing on the back and sleeves. It was a single file line, and they stared down the front doors.

"What do you MEAN they just appeared!?" Amy Jacob was shouting into a Nova Phone, about a block away. The Assistant Director of the Zarethian Hand had been very stressed lately, what with riots in the streets and strange alien races appearing out of nowhere. She hadn't slept in forty eight hours, and was running low on coffee as she walked angrily down the sidewalk in her business attire.

"T-twelve of them, ma'am. They just appeared," came the voice from the other side of the phone, "What should we do!?"

"Call for backup. I'll be there in a bit..."

"Yes, ma'am."

Quickly texting Director Hermitage and informing him of the incident, she made her way towards the office building, drawing her firearm as she approached it. A few people who passed her by were frightened by her weaponry, but that was nothing a quick flash of her badge couldn't fix. As she reached the office building, just across the street from it, she joined up with her team of about twelve men, all dressed in riot protection gear.

"What the hell are they carrying?" she asked, tucking her blonde air back behind her ear as she stared at the elephant-like creature emblem.

"I'm not sure, ma'am," one of the men replied, "But... This office, it belongs to a politician, we think it may be a senator though we're not certain yet."

"WELL FIND OUT!" Amy replied, "What am I paying you for!?"

She smiled before calling out to the men. "'Ello there! Mind giving me a moment?"

Quite dramatically, they all pulled back their hoods at once, and turned their heads to look at her. Their expressions were completely blank. All twelve were Zarethians for sure, men ranging from their early twenties to mid thirties. They simply stared, and said nothing.

"What the hell!?" one of the men shouted. "They're bloody crazy... What ARE they, though!? They look like they've just heard a Lorcar's scream or something. And why're they dressed so odd!? And what the hell are they carrying, anyway!?"

"Relax," Amy replied, "They're Zarethian, nothing to worry about... Call off the backup. I'll go have a chat with the folks inside and make sure these guys aren't anyone to worry about. We'll be off for tea by the end of the hour. Just wait for me here?"

"Ma'am," they replied, nearly uniformly as she walked across the street to the group. "'Ello gentlemen. Let's see who's home, shall we?"

And with that, she opened the door to the office building and walked inside, beckoning for the others to follow her. "Uh... You can leave that out here, I guess," she said, motioning towards the elephant emblem.

The twelve turned their heads to watch her simultaneously, and at her beckoning set down the carried emblem. Keeping their single file, they followed her closely into the office.

Within a few moments, a black limo with tinted windows rolled up. The door opened, and a man wearing a Zarethian Military uniform, with numerous decoration on it, stepped out and put on his shades. As he stood up, his rank could now be clearly seen, followed by his nametag, Hermitage. Many people stood straight up at the site of the numerous identifiers.

"A little too late for that Amy." He said as he approached.

OOC: Uh I think Zak should proooobably NPC him, where is he?

"Director, sir!" Amy gasped, bowing slightly, a Zarethian sign of respect. She hadn't expected the good director to show up himself. Sure, he liked to be updated on situations like this, but, did he know these people or something? Why was he so confident... And so ho- Stop it, girl, you can't think this way about your boss. Get a grip.

"Sir, what do you mean, 'It's too late for that.'?"

OOC: I guess that solves that then.

"Your reinforcements, of course." he said as the doors closed behind him. He stood tall, and proud like a man with a new purpose. Of course, this was pretty common after his meritorious actions during the Alpha crisis. "Shall we proceed Ms. Jacobs?"

OOC: Lyoko you control some of the senate. K2, read my topic in goodbye about parents, schoolwork and every other bit of shit fun I may or may not have posted about.  Carry on.

On the tops of various buildings with good line of sight, Zarethians clothed in the in gray-black fatigues and black ceramic plate armour appeared. There were two of them on each building top, one of each pair carrying an elongated pulse rifle whilst the other carried binoculars. Each of the spotters laid down a small circular device about two inches in diameter with a blinking purple light onto the building top. An AM forcefield surrounded the area. The snipers got into position and waited.

"W-what the hell," Amy replied, noticing the AM Field that had risen up around the building. She wanted to call her men outside towards the building... She had a bad feeling about all of this. But she decided to just trust Hermitage. Whatever was going on, Hermitage wouldn't steer them wrong... Right?

(I'd assume, yes)

"Dont worry... Its just the DSS setting up procedure." he replied nonchalantly. He led the 12 men into a conference room and gestured for Amy to follow.

Outside, the DSS, and HIRU we waiting to launch at a moments notice. "Echo-1, this is Tango-6. Confirm King is inside, over." a DSS sniper calls to another one stationed outside on the entrance,

"No positive, Tango-6. We confirm Queen is inside. King's chariot is present over. Stand-by for scan."  Echo-1 calls back.

"Copy that, standing by, over." Tango-6 replied.

After a few short moments, the scan was finished. "Tango-6, this is Echo-1. Confirmed presence of King inside facility. King is inside facility." he calls back.

"Copy that Echo. HIRU tactical response is enroute to reinforce sniper positions." Tango-6 calls back. "6, out.*

"We grow impatient." One of them stated plainly, without a hint of emotion. The twelve continued to stare blankly all around them.

"Right. What is it that you people are doing here?" Amy asked the twelve. "You can't just come barging into a senator's office dressed like. That... And carrying a cow... That's, well, absurd. Is it worth calling entire sniper teams in?" she glared harshly at Hermitage. "No, I overreacted and called for a bit of backup, and when the Assistant Director of the Zarethian Hand calls for backup, they always assume the worst. But the question remains. Why are you here?"

The red eyed man gazed at his eleven companions, and they met his glance. He gave them each a smile.
"We had come for the Senator... But you will just have to do." A change came over his face, his skin shifted to red and his teeth turned vicious. This shift occurred almost instantaneously, he jumped out of his chair well screaming,
"I WILL RIP YOUR FUCKING HEART OUT." He flew towards Hermitage teeth bared, and two of the other men leaped towards Amy, their robes turning to ash to increase their mobility. The remaining lead a bull rush towards the pair, effectively dog piling them and ripping at them. A red energy started surging around the Leader's arm as he ripped at Hermitage.

Amy yelped out an extremely girlish scream as she jumped out of the way of her attackers -- and directly into the path of the one who was going for Hermitage. As he bit into her shoulder blade, she screamed. The pain... It was so intense. She had never felt anything so awful.

And raw instinct took over from there. Her body stopped feeling. She had heard about the body going into shock, but, besides breaking her arm as a little girl, had never really experienced it. Mind blank, emotionless, she, in an all too quick motion common for those with military training, pulled out her pistol and fired five shots at the attacker who's teeth were sinked into her shoulder.

By then, the others had reached her and dogpiled her, and the pain became too intense as she passed out. She only hoped she'd saved Hermitage for him to get out of the way -- and maybe, just maybe, the Hand agents outside had heard her scream.

When the man started to talk, the tone of his voice and what he said gave Hermitage the wrong feeling. Giving a quick glance through the windows lining one of the sides of the room at a DSS Sniper, they realized something was amiss. Then...

The man's eyes turned red, and Hermitage yelled out, "ENGAGE". In a swift motion, Regis pulled out his combat knife, and stuck in in the throat of one of the men near him. The windows shattered as pre-sighted targets were engaged through the glass by the snipers. By the time Hermitage had drawn his side arm, he heard a dreadful sound. It was Amy.

He immediately looked over to his right, and saw Amy as she pulled out her own gun and fired. Hermitage instinctively engaged as the 2 on top of Amy and rushed to pull her away while the men focused on the direction of his fire.

HIRU Agents who had been standing by, busted through the doors, guns ready, and were surprised to see the Director holding Amy in a corner with his weapon drawn at the remaining enemies. "Intervention Unit! stand down!" one of the Agents ordered.

"Shoot them!" Regis shouted. He held Amy close with his left arms while remaining ready with his weapon in his right. A few more shots went off from the SMGs the HIRU Agents were packing, hoping to subdue the men. Several HIRU agents shuffled around to the left where Hermitage was, to guard him and the Assistant Director.

The Disciple stuck with the knife died instantly, and Amy scored several successful shots on the man who first tackled her. His body's momentum carried through and landed on top off her.

The rest though instantly set up "Corruption Fields" in a certain radius around them. The plasma was caught in the field, the kinetic energy absorbed. The plasma bolts themselves were converted to Tainted energy. This included the sniper rifles, Amy's and Hermitage's sidearms, and the SMG's. All this energy stored, it was unleashed abruptly, hurling at the HIRU agents and Hermitage and Amy. Three of the Disciples weren't quick enough and were killed by the shots. Two continued to charge at Amy, and as soon as the Red Disciple died, a Red fog ascended from his body and instantly entered another one of the Disciples.

(Alrighty then)

Hermitage stood up quickly after grabbing one of the unconscious HIRU Agent's weapons. When the 2 got close, he hit one of them in the face with the butt of his weapons, and immediately turned and shot at the other one. Several more agents rushed over to Hermitage to help.

The other agents, now joined by several DSS personal, engaged again with a hail of bullets.

"Drop that goddamn field!' Hermitage yelled through the comms. "All i need is 3 three seconds!"

The field dropped, and Hermitage threw himself on top of Amy. In a quick flash of light, they were gone, and the field was back up.

"All DSS Personal, you are to now locate and recover... repeat. Locate and recover." the comms went off.

The more bullets they shot at them, they more were flung right back, amplified with Tainted energy. This unending ricochet would have made going for Amy suicide, but she was protected by the corpse of the dead Disciple on top of her.
Title: Re: LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU
Post by: K2 on October 05, 2012, 05:46:27 PM
With the chaos unfolding around her, it was only a matter of time before Amy awakened, still buried under the corpses and well protected. She watched as Hermitage tried desperately to reach her, to save her. She watched as time and time again, bullets were being shot into the Corruption Fields. She knew that she had to do something, somehow.

It seemed that whatever was fired at these guys ended up coming right back in the opposite direction. These guys were using some sort of magic to fight with. Amy was hardly good at magic, and she knew that it was unlikely that she could use it to battle in response. She also knew that if she didn't do something now, she and Hermitage were both dead. And above all else, she knew that she now needed a serious shower.

Quickly pulling out her portal pulse gun, she activated it, firing directly into a newly formed portal at the barrel of the gun. The plasma burst that was fired from it would open right in front of the Revenge disciples. If their field was, by chance, powered by technology, it would also be pulsed.

Now knowing that she'd been compromised, she fired at the other one as well, and the one with red smoke flying into it just in case. And then, she did her best to cover herself with the deceased bodies.

"Cease fire!" Hermitage called out. "Its no use in trying to kill them while that thing is active..." Hermitage and several DSS Agents formed up in a 360 protection formation, with Hermitage in the middle. They stood face to face with the disciples, as the other agents stood ready to defend.

"Lets roll." Hermitage said. Quickly and efficiently they attempted to make their way over to Amy. Any attempt to break the formation would only see another man take the person attacked's place.
Title: Re: LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU
Post by: UnStellar on October 09, 2012, 04:24:52 PM
Not even this clever pulse gun had any avail. The portal was redirected as soon as it opened back toward Amy. The six remaining Disciples formed a close group, doing so increasing the power of the Corruption Fields. They smirked with wicked glee. The red smoke took hold of one of them, and he changed form, becoming much larger and red. He flashed a mouth full of sharp teeth and a red energy started to glow in his hands.

As Hermitage's formation was made, they started walking forward as well. Now Amy was an equal distance between both groups. Who would reach her first?
Title: Re: LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU
Post by: K2 on October 10, 2012, 06:51:40 PM
Amy found that the bodies she had covered herself with were more than enough cover for the return of her assault; However; the bodies were now pretty much useless to her, and as she removed the now not-much-of-a-shield-at-all from her young, skinny torso, she witnessed the red smoke taking hold of the disciple, and witnessed both groups -- the Hand and the disciples -- coming towards her.

This wasn't going to work. She knew what was going to happen. Hermitage and the team would get too close. These guys would kill them. For who? For her. She couldn't let that happen. She understood her role in all of this. Silently reaching into the backpack still slung around her shoulders from the events of earlier in the day, she felt around to see what she could find.

Then, her eyes met Hermitage's as she mouthed, "Run."

Turning her attention to the disciples of Revenge now, whoever these freaks were, she yelled out, "You guys need some sort of sacrifice, is that it? For your cult, or whatever this is. Well, guess what, you freaks. Ain't gonna happen."

The spunky blond started walking towards the disciples. This is the right thing. This is the right thing. Save Hermitage. Save the team. Only, as much as she told herself this, her mind was still racing, thinking of a way to survive in the end.

(Sorry for the 10-day late post.)

She's going to get herself killed!

The same phrase repeated a million time a second in Hermitage's head. In the heat of battle, Hermitage would think on the fly. Never missing a second, but the thought of Amy dying brought something new. Fear, and panic.

She's going to.... STOP. Its not Magic, Its not Technology. It has to be something else. A force. An Energy, right? Think Regis!, He thought.

"Drop it." he ordered. The AM fields around them would drop once more, but for good this time. Immediately, he formed a barrier around Amy to protect her, and started approaching the disciples. "If you want to try to kill someone, at least have enough honor to do it to someone who deserves it!" he yelled at them furiously. "Bring it." he taunted.

Outside, the Hand units were frantically trying to ascertain the situation inside. All they had to work with was the sniper's intel, and the comms that were active. "Rainbow-6 to Warlord." the comms went off.

"Go ahead Rainbow." a reply soon came.

"Request you contact the Third Fleet in preparation for protocol, Sigma-8, over." 6 replied back.

"Copy Rainbow. Standby." Warlord responded.
Title: Re: LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU
Post by: K2 on October 20, 2012, 04:49:09 PM
The moment the barrier went up around Amy, she watched with a horrified expression as Hermitage started walking towards the disciples. And then, she did the last thing she'd thought she'd do in this situation. She... She screamed. Pounding her fists on the barrier that had surrounded her, she screamed and yelled and cursed at Hermitage. "STOP IT! LET ME OUT OF HERE! RUN, YOU BIG IDIOT! DON'T DO THIS FOR ME! I... I'M TRYING TO.. I... I L-L-LOV-"

She dropped to her knees as, quite contrary to all her training and protocol in the world, she let emotion flood through her body. She let her guard down. She gave up. She felt her face grow warm and wet as tears started to stream down her eyes. She had failed. She had one mission, and she had failed. She couldn't protect Hermitage. She-

So, this is it, huh, Amy," a snide voice said from behind her.

Jerking around, she couldn't believe her eyes. "Y-y-you," she stuttered, rubbing her eyes. No. This wasn't possible. She was seeing things. He was... Dead. Right? How could he be here, talking to her?

"What's wrong? Nothing to say to your ol' pal, Eric?"

She turned to gauge the reactions of the others in the room. They didn't seem to see what she saw. They didn't seem to see Eric Mann, right in front of her, hovering over her, a snide look on his face as he taunted Amy. She knew she was hallucinating now. However; at this point, she was so delirious, it didn't matter.

"Couldn't shoot me. Could you? And now, you can't save Hermitage. You're a failure, Jacob."

"I-I'm not," Amy replied.

"You are."

Amy stopped. She wasn't going to reply to her own brain. She wasn't going to talk to a hallucination. She shut her eyes, hoping it'd go away. It didn't. A moment later, when she opened her eyes again, she was still hallucinating.

"You're bleeding," he said.

She looked down. Blood was surrounding her. She'd hit her head earlier, or something. She was losing way too much blood. Wait. The bite. She'd been bitten, right? At this point, she didn't know. Everything was going blurry, and then, Eric was gone, and she closed her eyes, but no... She couldn't... What... How was she going to get out of this? How was she going to save Hermitage?

She couldn't let Eric Mann win. After all -- he was dead. She wasn't. Not yet, anyway.

She couldn't portal, right? The portal she'd tried to use with her gun before had failed. So, what would happen if she tried to teleport? It probably wouldn't work either, and who knows where she'd end up. She had to get out of this barrier, to save Hermitage. And that's when she remembered where she was.

Using magic, she summoned an item, bringing it directly to her hands from her garage at her house. A pick axe.

...And then, she started  to demolish the wood floor under her feet.

With a vicious howl the Disciples moved forward rapidly. They moved as one, and Amy was still closer to them then Hermitage and his men. As they approached her, they glared menacingly inside her cage. The fields started to eat at it, corrupting the very magic energy it was made of. It was turning into something different. It was only partially corrupted, but kept gnawing. One thing was for sure, Amy didn't want to be in it when it turned fully, and probably didn't want to touch the small segment currently corrupted. Two Disciples stayed by her field, the other four ran straight for the squad. The Red Disciple let out the blast he had been charging, It stuck like glue and shot out over most of the squad. The red sticky liquid clung to them and started eating at their attire like acid, but it was clearly alive, writhing and moving and releasing a terrible squealing howl. The three other Disciples came in close with sharp claws and teeth, hacking savagely at them. Their Fields were still up.

They have to be working for an Embodiment... Theres no other way. he thought. The mark... Its gotta be worth a try.

The barrier itself was reinforced by the Demented Magic, a force of its own. A flash of light went off as 5 versions of Hermitage appeared... deceit magic at its finest. Hermitage now turned his attention towards the current leader. With a quick thrust of his hands, a powerful blast of Chaos magic flew directly at him. Meanwhile, using the barrier itself, he moved Amy over towards him, away from the 2 disciples.

"You do not know who you are fucking with..." he said, and showed the Mark of the Demented that was on his wrist. "No idea at all." he shouted. The force of the shout, was also reinforced by destruction magic, and would surely be enough to make any mage under his level stumble.

The HIRU troopers who were unaffected began to engage the disciples in CQC, using anything available to them.

----------

"Warlord to Rainbow-6." the comms went off.

"Come in Warlord." Rainbow responds.

"The Third Fleet is about 5 minutes away from trigger-timing that entire area. We recommend that you exfiltrate with the Director, and leg it as far as you can. 7 guys in an office dont mean much to the Navy anymore at this point. " Warlord informs them..

"Copy Warlord. We are replying negative to that. The Assistant Director is not yet safe, and situation has not, i repeat NOT been rectified." Rainbow responds.

"Roger Rainbo-6. You're deadline to get out of the Kill-Zone is Zero One minutes. Out." Warlord cuts the transmission. Meanwhile, one of the ships in orbit begins its targeting procedures.

Even as the disciples started attacking the barrier, and as Hermitage started to physically move the barrier, forcing her to shift positions within the room, she kept pounding, pounding, pounding, until -

Drop.

She let out a little yelp as she dropped from the dimly lit room into darkness. She felt the cold dirt under her. Wood, too, poking into her butt. She looked up and saw a small amount of light above. She'd dropped into a small crawlspace under the senate building, free from Hermitage's barrier, and away from all the fighting.

Pulling the item she'd felt earlier out of her pocket, she began to lace it -- very powerful explosives -- across the ground in the crawlspace. With it well set, detonator secure in her backpack, she made her way towards the back of the crawlspace, further into the building, further away from the light of the hole she'd formed, and further away from the fighting.

Reaching for her comm, she quietly whispered into it, "Run."

Not bothering to even use protocol anymore, she took her comm, placed it on the ground, and smashed her boot into it, crushing it. She kept crawling until she reached the end of the crawlspace. A concrete wall that signified the end of the building, and the beginning of an underground safe complex for the senators who shared the surrounding office buildings. The concrete was obviously thick to prevent intrusion from the worst of threats. Luckily, she was a Hand agent -- it was her job to get through the defenses.

At the base of the concrete wall, her soft, clean hands started to dig into the soil until she hit something. Pulling out a small, PDA-like device that had been buried in the soil, she flipped a switch as the display of the device came online. Entering in her ID on a small number pad, she watched as a small, person-sized portion of the concrete wall folded backwards on hinges, revealing entrance into the underground saferoom.

She crawled into the saferoom and watched as the door in the concrete wall locked once more before she pulled out the detonator and pressed down.

(Sorry KOL, but i need to 3-day this. Its taking been taking up a Major PC's time for way too long.)

The Chaos blast Hermitage had sent worked. The lead disciple was killed. The HIRU troopers who were engaging in CQC had also managed to neutralize all of the disciples. However, by the time this was all done and over with, Hermitage only just now realized that Amy was gone. His head snapped towards the barrier, and it disappeared.

"This is King, to Rainbow-6. I need thermals on this building. Queen is not here." He calls in.

"Copy that, standby Director." a reply came.

The forces outside looked through their scopes, and tried to see what was going on underneath. All they could make out was that there were demolition charges rigged to the bottom.

"King, this is Rainbow-6. Recommend that you evac immediately. That building is gonna go up in smoke long before the 3rd fleet trigger-times that place." 6 calls in.

"Copy." Hermitage replies. "Everyone, fall back." he ordered. Him, and the surviving troopers quickly teleported to the post were the DSS were set up on a taller building a few blocks away.

"30 seconds till Sigma-8 is active." the radio goes off.

"This is Admiral Regis Hermitage, to the Third Fleet. Cancel Sigma-8 protocol." Hermitage ordered. There was no response.

"Two-Zero seconds to strike." the radio went off again.

"No, damnit!" he shouted.

As Amy's explosives went up, a good portion of that street would be in absolute chaos. However; Amy would be nowhere to be found -- not in the bunker, not among the ruins of the explosion... She was gone. Both physically and mentally. This single event had corrupted her. She needed revenge. She needed to destroy Eric Mann -- he was still alive. She knew he was. He had taken everything from her.

She had to find these disciples. She had to learn from them.

So, she was long gone.

As the Disciples has been shredded, the red mist vanished. Between the strikes and explosives, the operatives had been utterly destroyed.

Farora came sprinting to the scene, only to find it a crater.
"Dammit!" she screamed.
"That was my chance... It was him, I could feel it." she said aloud.

(K2, you want in on Revenge, this might be your chance.)

Absolute chaos. Madness. With the Hand agents sprinting around in the madness, there was no way they would see or even recognise what was going on now in a secluded ally near the crater. A voice quietly called out towards Faora. "You. Come here."

It was Amy, but nobody would recognise her. The bunker she'd been in had been old. Faulty. She had severe burns all over her body. Her hair was gone. She was in intense pain and the only reason she was even still functioning was because she'd managed to use what little magic she knew to numb her nerves temporarily. In moments, she would be in the most intense pain she'd ever felt. Especially since she'd cut herself open to remove trackers in her body.

"Do you know what just happened?" she demanded, her voice hoarse from the smoke she'd breathed in.

"Scan it..." Hermitage ordered. "Heat, organic matter, anything."

"Sir, we dont even have her trackers online...." An agent responded.

"And nothing on the scopes either Sir." A scout informed him. "Anything that was there was probably obliterated by the Sigma-8 Protocol bombardment... "

"Check again..." He ordered.

"But sir.." an Agent said.

"DO IT!" Hermitage shouted. "She cannot be dead. Check. It. AGAIN!"

"Sir... We have nothing." The scout said.

"Check again..." he ordered once more. "She cant be dead... She cant be." he lowered his head. The HIRU Colonel was the first to approach the Admiral, as the rest of the command team simply watched.

The Colonel put his hand on Hermitage's should and said, "Regis... She's dead. Everything in that area is dead. Im sorry sir."

"NO!" he shouted. "No, no, no!" he continued.

"Sir, we will search for her body when the area is suitable for living beings. We'll bury what we can." The Colonel tried to reassure the Admiral. "Im sure the council will give her a funeral with full military honors."

Hermitage simply stared at the ground... he didnt cry - He couldnt cry. He could only replay her last moments in his head. Falling back onto a barrier going around the parameter of the building, he sat there in shock. Processing what has just been told to him.

Farora looked the woman up and down and backed away slowly, knees trembling.
"God damn girl, we better you a healer. You're really fucked up." she said plainly. She approached her, but didn't try to touch her for fear of injuring her sooner.
"I think so. Some crazy cult was attacking this office right? So they decided to turn it into a crater? Smart move." She said simply, not wanting to reveal too much of her involvement.

The Red Mist, Hate himself, hung high in orbit. This was only part of his real essence, it's power was dismal. But it could sense an intense desire for Revenge. The groundwork for Tainting had already begun. Smelling it like a predator smells blood, he began to focus in on it and fly towards it slowly.

The pain started to kick in as her spell faded. Collapsing, her trembling hands stopped her fall as she grabbed a hold of Farora's shoulders. Shoulders. She could feel the palms of her hands burning at the contact, but then, her entire body was burning. She was going numb. About to pass out from the pain. No. She needed help. She couldn't let Hermitage find her. If Hermitage found her, she'd never see the light of day again. They'd put her in a mental asylum. She was crazy. She knew she was crazy. But she knew that Eric Mann was still alive, and she had to find him. She had to stop him, no matter what it took.

"Get me," her hoarse voice choked out, "Off this planet. Please. Help."

And then the pain took a hold as she passed out again.

Ooc:  Im posting on hiro's phone with this. Okay, ilI was alerted some seious shit went down here. Look, the Zarethians don't bomb their own planets. They just don't, even if all you did was use bombers. If it wasnt bombers then you just effectively crateruzed the city which was probably the capitol.. The Zarethians would also know exactly where their citizens would live so long as theyre registered in the database. Please, lyoko use the magic the Zarethians. The dont totally rely on tech.  Also please do dont Americanize the Zarethian Empire as I know youre prone to.

OOC: Amy blew up the office building herself, not the entire city, it was a small detonation that took out a few buildings. She was acting rogue. Lyoko was RPing the fleet planning to blow the building to stop the invaders but Amy did it first. If that's not how the fleet would react that's one thing but Amy was still acting rogue.

Ooc- we can probably assume that while shit was going down in the meeting room, the DSS evacuated the Senator.

But she knew that Eric Mann was still alive, and she had to find him. She had to stop him, no matter what it took.

"Get me," her hoarse voice choked out, "Off this planet. Please. Help."

And then the pain took a hold as she passed out again.

Farora took a hold of her, and gently let her to the ground. She muttered obscenities to herself as she plotted her next move. Why'd she want to leave this planet? Wouldn't it be easier to find a healer? Wait, this civilization was mostly tech. They didn't have healers. Farora realized that the current planet might not be able to help the woman, but she knew of ones who could. But why should she help her? What cause could Farora have to help this complete stranger? As she looked at the surroundings, she realized a bomb had gone off and that the Disciples were most likely dead, killing her only likely chance of finding Hate. She did remember the recruiting grounds though. She could just leave the girl at a hospital and...

Shit.

She felt a pang of conscience.

Disciples don't feel conscience.

She wasn't a Disciple anymore.

A bitter feeling took hold of her stomach as she realized that she couldn't live with herself leaving this woman to die, or at least becoming maimed for life. Simultaneously, she cursed her consciences return and welcomed it. It was nice to feel like a real being again. Not sure she could hear her, but speaking anyway, Farora started to comfort the girl.
"It's alright sweetheart, errything's gonna be okay. Just hang in there." She started to focus her powers, her wings spreading out as she revealed more of her Succubus form. Focusing, focusing, she pictured home. Or at least, the place she was born. The mysterious Autumnavia. She hadn't been there for years... But she had some leads. She could get the girl help, she knew she could. But that was a long teleportation.

Farora realized she wouldn't be able to forgive herself if she failed. And she realized she had to do this for the woman, because it was the right thing to do. And what is right goes beyond what is possible. She felt a shiver up her spine, and opened her eyes. Looking up, she saw the Red Mist descending rapidly upon them. She didn't even have to look further to know. It was Hate. He usually hung around after disasters like this. She could challenge him now... Take her revenge for all the things he had done to her. Not just for killing her, no no. Hate had taken everything from her. He had taken parts of her body, piece by piece. He had taken away love. Peace. Conscience. He had taken away her humanity. He had turned her into a beast. And he deserved to pay for it.
But as she looked at the body cradled in her arms, she realized this woman deserved to live more than this creature deserved to die. She made her choice. As the Red Mist came a stone's throw away, she looked up at him with purpose in her eyes.
"You'll see me again." She said simply, baring her Succubus teeth as she vanished.

Teleporting herself and this nameless girl to a whole new world. (http://shatteredplanes.com/forum/index.php?topic=6659.msg57772#msg57772)

"Magical anomaly Sir..." an agent reported. "Strong... consistent with long-range teleportation."

"What?" Regis asked. "How, and where."

"Well sir, it was around the area of effect. Uh.... about 200 meters." The agent responded. "Suggestions, sir?"

"No. Probably just a problem with the scanners." Regis concluded. He got himself up, and tried pulling himself together. It was amazing that he wouldnt crack under the pressure of the Alpha incident, but the death of a single agent would? No... Not just an agent. His friend.

lov... e. he thought. She was trying to say love.

"Pack it up, and write the reports. When the area is clear, send in investigative teams, and casualty collection." Regis ordered. "Keep this area clear of civilians and press. A media fireestorm is the last thing we need."
