THE DYING BREED
A ripple in time and space.

An orange-silver glow radiated in one small area in Deletrius as a middle-aged man with a huge beard, long, black hair, and an incredibly muscular body appeared, a young girl at his side, a beautiful young woman of, perhaps, twenty, with gorgeous red hair and a slim figure, a nervous expression on her face. They were Templars... Only this young woman couldn't be a Templar, could she? There were only three Templars, right?

Wrong. There were only three Templars at this time. The man appeared to be Nek Atlas, only... Older. Glaring around the place, he immediately noticed a strange planet in the sky... It looked just like... No. It couldn't be. That planet... Hadn't it been destroyed?

"What's wrong?" the young woman asked Nek.

"Everything," he replied, walking forward across the whiteness of nothing, closer to the planet, which, of course, was kilometers away.

"Where are we? I could have sworn we were going to appear in the Negative Core, right? You were going to show me Master Jay's t-"

"Yes, but... I don't think we're there. Or then. Something must have gone wrong... Something terrible. That planet there..."

"It's a beauty," she mused.

"Yeah, a beauty that shouldn't exist. Well, it should exist... When we were going... But not when we are. Whenever we are. Right?"

"That didn't make a bit of sense."

"Quite, let's go then!" Nek insisted, and she ran to catch up with him as he kept walking ahead. "There, you see!" he shouted, pointing in the distance. "I wonder who they are?"

There were a group of nomads coming straight towards the two Templars.

Coming towards them were the Nomads of Earth the people who now dwelled the 'lands' of Deletrius, searching for a way out or a sign of a new home. Within the group were men, woman, children, and even the animals they had owned. Dogs and cats, cows and sheep, horses. and bull. And birds, tons of birds. Every animal you could think of were within that seemingly small but in reality held thousands, group. And even more than that, as some the more intelligent earthlings who had refused to give up all technology had swiped samples of every species they could find and now carried more than millions of DNA of every species the Earth had housed, intent on restarting their planet.

Others held plants, and materialistic possessions. It was almost like a scene from the bible, only thousands more people, and far more futuristic items. Leading the group there in the front was a formation of five people, two women and three men. One woman looked like a scientist of some sorts and the other resembled a common librarian of old. The men all looked alike, carrying every weapon they could find or make back on earth; spears, knives, and all. Oh, and they were long-haired bright clothed hippies too.

"Well, hello there," Nek greeted the group as they approached, "Quite the crowd you've got there! Allow me to introduce myself. My name's Nek, and this here is-"

"AAH!"

The young girl had quickly hidden behind Nek at the sight of the exotic animals in the group. She had never seen many of the species, and they were quite terrifying. He sighed, glancing at what he assumed were the group's leaders. They were dressed like... Well... Humans, which further worried Nek.

"That planet," he said, gesturing towards Earth, "What's its name?"

Before one of the lead humans could speak a word, the 'ground' rumbled and there from the sky started to fall pieces of the recently erased Hell. Stone, Hellfire, magma and all. All of it started to rain down within the realm from nowhere at all but the white 'sky'. The nomads scattered everywhere, screaming for their lives as the animals ran every direction they could, lions, tigers, bears, every animal one could think of ran off in a scurry through the white lands with people following.

The people of Earth were frightened as could be. From everything they had been through this could only mean things were about to get worse. Was this the end of 'their' world?

"MASTER! WHAT'S WRONG!?" the red-haired girl shouted in fright.

"No," Future!Nek replied, seemingly in somewhat of a trance, "This... Never happens. How can it be that... No... I think we made a mistake coming here... This is... So bizarre."

He held up his arm, and a silver glow began to surround the pieces of South... Well, Hell. It wasn't South anymore. Wasn't really hell either, that had been made up by Creation and Destruction as part of their facade. None the less, the Templar's silver glow did surround the pieces of Hell/South/Whatever. He couldn't reverse what existence had just done, but he would hopefully be able to put it together in some fashion, give it some structural lining.

As the pieces of "Hell" began to be put together like a puzzle, floating there high in the sky of whiteness, Nek glanced around at the humans. They were quite an interesting race, weren't they? Deciding not to waste his time trying to get the attention of the nomads, he sighed and motioned for his follower to come with him as he started walking further towards the planet Earth.

But before Nek would have been able to go anywhere near Earth, there in his way fell the rest of Hell/South in its entirety. What had originally fell had just been the pieces that had been erased when Existence was randomly erasing parts. The rest, however, had been erased all in one go and was still in one piece of what had remained -except that it was split down the center.

So there, fell one half, and right on the other side of Nek would fall the other half, crashing with a loud boom.

Of course this only served to freak out the nomads of earth even more as they all ran faster in attempt to get away from the madness.

"Well then," Nek noted, blinking, "I suppose we've got some investigating to do."

Chaotic energies were everywhere. The realm that had just appeared had been shaping into the new domain of the embodiment of chaos. It had been transforming. Even cut off from Keith, it had still been converted into a domain of chaos. And now, it was here, and so was a planet that seemed strangely familiar to Nek, though he didn't know why.

Realms were appearing here. He knew this place was some sort of place that lost people appeared -- he'd appeared here, actually, not long ago technically. But for Future!Nek it had been long ago in his personal timeline. He was curious... Had all these places become... Lost?

If so, something was terribly wrong. Something was affecting time, negatively, to cause these things to happen. And it wasn't just here. Every timeline. Every TIME. Every reality. Time was going bad. History was rewriting itself. Alternate timelines were forming.

...But the question was, what was causing all this? What was causing existence itself to... Change? It was more than just time. Future!Nek... It was here, in this realm of the lost, that he began to realize... Something or SOMEONE was manipulating things. Had been for years, as far as Nek knew. Someone was manipulating events. But who?

Shuddering, Future!Nek knew that he had to investigate. And he needed help.

"Hey," he said to his friend, "You know how you're always telling me you want to see what Grand Elder Jay looked like in his prime?"

"Yeah," she replied, "Field trip?"

"Field trip," Future!Nek replied, grabbing onto her as they vanished.
