Title: {EVENT} The Living Dead

Far above the Dimensional Plane, there lies a realm, a sort of gateway for the dead into the afterlife. Here, for centuries, they have been judged based on their deeds from their time in the living. Should they be judged worthy, they are granted entrance into the North, home of Eli, the very embodiment of Creation, who welcomes them with open arms. If they are deemed unworthy, they are sentenced to the feared South, ruled by the feared Radical, an agent of the embodiment of Destruction.

At least, that's how is was until a month ago, when Radical literally dropped dead. The chaos that followed can only be described as war. A mad race for his throne began as warriors, both living and dead, competed for the title of King of South, overseer of the dead. In the end, it didn't matter. This battle for the throne ended up destroying South entirely.

Now, the Judges of Spirit Realm have been unsure of what course of action to take. With no clear leadership from the embodiments, the judges have sent the worthy to North. However; those who had been sentenced to South over the years now find themselves frozen in purgatory in the Spirit Realm. With so many dead souls in the Spirit Realm with nowhere to go, the realm is slowly getting far, faaaar too crowded.

And now, on top of everything, a rogue mage named Niiv has tried to free the dead and unleash them unto the living. The spell he tried to cast hasn't taken effect... Yet. The defenses of the Spirit Realm have kept things in check, but things are getting bad, and it's only a matter of time before all hell breaks loose.

In the Spirit Realm, the judges -- the White Judge and the Black Judge -- were in a frenzy. As they sat comfortably in their court room, more and more lost spirits were arriving outside, frozen in suspended animation, waiting to be judged. The defenses of the Spirit Realm were failing. That rogue mage, Niiv, had nearly completely crippled the defenses with his actions, and there was no telling what would happen if the Spirit Realm failed.

Fear was in the air.

So, they did the only thing they knew to do. They sent out a message to the embodiments. A beacon calling them there. They needed to take action. They could only do that with the help of the embodiments. So, that was what would have to be done.

OOC: For reference to said spell of Niiv's: http://shatteredplanes.com/forum/index.php?topic=6160.0

Niiv flew around across the sea of dead convicts. By Niiv, I of coarse mean a magically projected hologram of Niiv. He was far to smart and cowardly to hold himself up as a target as he attempted one of the greatest felonies the universe had ever known. As he flew over them, his hysterical giggle began to slow down. Why aren't they running through my portals? he wondered. Why aren't they moving at all?

Niiv flew down to get a close look at the myriad of the dead, and quickly realized they were frozen. Damniiiiiit! he thought. And this was going so well!

He was actually having fun for once, the poor planet that he was upon was only about as civilized as renaissance England and the people here were extremely suspicious. It was perfect for him, the Embodiment of Fear and he was taking great fun in starting up conflicts and causing many to be killed. Most would say that Exsterno was evil but it was not true, he was simply doing what he done best, spread fear, and why was it his fault if the fear struck peoples started to kill others?

At the moment, he was just about to start striking up a riot, a fear of the Government's power and a supposed plan they were going to put into action, something about reanimating the dead, it wasn't true of course but Exsterno made others think it would. The Embodiment was just about to start his craft when he received the call, he desperately wanted to ignore it but then he realised something. "It might be something for me to work with" He mused unto himself, voice like tar. "May as well listen"

With a burst of black smog, the Embodiment of Fear vanished from the planet and appeared inside the Court Room. He had dimmed his powers though, no need to cause fear just now. Exsterno formed himself into a humanoid shape and stood in the middle of the Court Room, looking up at the Judges with his shiny black eyes, seeming to hold much knowledge. "So~" He started, voice dripping out like oil. "Why have you called me here?"

"In time, embodiment," the Black Judge replied as more embodiments began to appear. "In time."

"In the meanwhile," the White Judge offered, "Would anyone like some tea?"

The Reaper and his progeny were present at the courtroom, quite near the Judges themselves. While it was true that they were no Embodiments, the matters of the Spirit World were their matters. Besides, what with tge Realm actually being FULL, they pretty much had the day off anyways. Might as well see whats going on. At the question of Tea, the Reaper himself did raise one skeletal hand.

Null and Void both heard the summons but, as they did not respect the authority of the minions of Creation nor Destruction(while they had once viewed Destruction as a Lord, he was dead now), they completely ignored it and did their own thing like they were already doing elsewhere.

Leirra walks through the door, frowning at the sight of all the dead. "One would think the Judges would have thought to simply make a new South to store everyone in while they decide... It's far too crowded in here." She says to herself, sighing as she walks right up to the Black Judge's podium, smirking almost seductively at him. "How long has it been now, Judge? Still making your wonderful coffee?"

He appeared without known reason, without any apparent cause, but he did appear. No magic signature, no flash of power. He was just suddenly there. Jack; the Void-Herald.

He had not heard the call for the Embodiments; he had heard the voice of his Lord. Telling him when and where to go, but not why.
It seemed the will of the Void was concerned with the recent destruction of the South, and the slow decay of Existence's afterlife.

His power of invasion filled the court room. Every embodiment would find themselves drastically weakened just by his very presence. He was silent as he stood in the crowd of frozen souls. Observing the proceedings and happenings here.

As the White Judge fixed the reaper some tea (and participated in the comical events that followed), the Black Judge was taken off guard completely by Leirra. "You stay away from me, damn you! I will not be enticed by your cheap sex tricks again! Okay, well, maybe I'll be a little enticed."

Meanwhile quite the number of embodiments had started to pile up. Heartbreak was particularly interested in Niiv. He stood outside the court room, focusing on Niiv, watching him. Observing. When the Void Herald appeared, little notice was paid to him, even if his Void powers supposedly were oppressive, it seemed of little consequence to them.

"The South was more then just a location, and no known entity left in Existence has the power capable of recreating it." Jack spoke up without fear as he walked towards the two Judges. His form seemed to be comprised of of pure blackness as he seemed to phase through the frozen dead.

He stopped a few feet from the two Judges, and with a smirk on his face and a voice in his head a contract appeared in his hand.

"You appear to be in the need of real estate, and I happen to have an endless realm at my Lord's disposal." Jack informed as the contract floated between the two judges.

"The Void would like to offer it's vast realm to be the new South, or at least a temporary solution. The release of the dead into the land of the living would bring down an eternity of order and render you obsolete." Jack continued as he turned to look at the collective Embodiments in the court room.

"I would suggest choosing quickly. The dead wont stay still for long."

"Because mortal men are well known for their sound thinking. This is an issue beyond their scope of understanding." Jack laughed as he poked a frozen dead in the forehead. The spirit was engulfed in flames, and within moments it unfroze and lay there on the ground. It was a human male screaming in anguish as it burnt. No damage was visibly done to it's body..but it squirmed in pain.

"Why would you allow the damned to choose their prison anyway? Are you an idiot Time?" Jack laughed even louder as he mocked the Embodiment.

Leirra laughs at the judge. "Ah, I have changed bodies a few times since we last met. You don't remember your friend Animas?" She asks him, smiling almost sweetly. "In any case, South still exists, it was simply, relocated." She adds, now turning to face Jack. "A new realm isn't needed. But the Dead will walk. Give them a place to go, and they will still walk. The boundaries between Life and Death grow thin every so often, and we are quickly coming up on that time."

Fear all the while had simply just been watching, his glassy black eyes observing and following as to what everyone was doing. Asura's appearance was rather surprising however as she usually kept herself neutral and out of these affairs, it had been a long time since he had seen her.

A grin crossed his face as Exsterno turned into a black fog and floated around Asura before solidifying into a snake like form with arms and a humanoid head, wrapped around the Embodiment of Time's midriff and shoulder. "Hello there Asura, are you having a small debate? I thought you were neutral in these affairs or have you changed since I last saw you." His voice was nectar in her ear, loud enough for only her to hear him as he spoke but he cast a glance over to Jack and seemed to roll his eyes at the Herald.

"If you Embodiments had not been so disorganized, and so easily pit against one another the Plex incident would've been FAR less damaging then it was. Creation and Destruction were the only Embodiments who ever did their job right, and compared to you Time. You're a fool. Easily trapped by a couple mortals with a little magic? So wise..ha! You've all failed at your duties. The system is failing, and has been for years! Contradictions in the very fabric of existence! Anomalies running rampant! Your two kings lay dead at your feet! Replaced by two children, and a farce! All because you all refused to do nothing but watch your domain. Leaving Existence as a whole to fend for itself. You all are to blame, and none of you deserve the right to decide. The Judges here are the highest ranking holy entities left. They alone hold the right." Jack ranted at the surrounding embodiments. His power of invasion spreading even farther, and oppressing the embodiments even more. They'd find their powers drained. Barely able to affect the world around them.

"EVERYBODY, SHUT THE HELL UP!" the Black Judge yelled, banging his gavel to get the attention of all those present. "We're here to find a solution, not to continue bickering. That's all it is with you filthy embodiments. Bickering. This... Whoever this guy is... He's right. Creation and Destruction far out rank all of you, and they're the only ones who ever had any sense to them."

The White Judge quietly added, "What is the current location of South, if it has not truly been destroyed?"

One of the embodiments now spoke up, the embodiment of Exploration. "There is another alternative... Does anyone here know of the Spiriven?"

Outside, the defenses of the Spirit Realm were failing, and tremors were slowly causing the place to shake, but the shaking was not yet violent.

OOC: Okay, whoever erased Hik's posts, put them back. That's just childish.
Also, this is my second time posting this, so excuse my brevity.

Niiv, who had been trying a variety of spells on the dead to try and unfreeze them, decided to check out. He threw his ear and eye (not physically, but magically) and eavesdropped on the conversation. He witnessed the burning man who was unfrozen and began to suspect that fire was the key. As the world began to shake, it seemed clear to him that something was going wrong with his portals, and he'd have to work quickly.

Niiv flicked his fingers and a small blue flame appeared above his thumb and forefinger. He looked at it and smiled. Then he noticed someone watching him far behind the flame. He immediately switched places with his apparition, and began to select a worthy test subject for his flames.

"Evening officer!" His apparition said while pulling out a small cigar. "I wasn't doing anything suspicious."

"You have no place here," Heartbreak calmly stated, looking Niiv in the eyes. "You may want to run. There's a lot of people inside who would love to get their hands on you."

"I see. And how could one access this... Deletrius?" the Black Judge questioned.
Title: Re: {EVENT} The Living Dead

Who runs? Niiv thought, in a literal fashion. "It's alright. A lot of people want to get their hands on me is no new experience!" Niiv's apparition then looked around at all the figures frozen in time. "And to be fair, they have no place here."

The real Niiv had now selected a prime figure for testing, a bald man with bulging muscles and two cards tattooed on his arm. Niiv smiled hysterically as he pressed the flame to the convicts forehead, hoping it may end his sentence.

"Maybe so," Heartbreak replied, "Who are you? What is your purpose for doing this? I'm curious how someone such as yourself could be so audacious as to experiment here and now."

Meanwhile, as the real Niiv lit the flames, a cold wind came to put it out. In reality, it was the defense of the Spirit Realm, coming to stop the tampering. However; something curious happened. As the wind and the flames made contact, a small rip began to appear in the space where Niiv had been tampering. This rip would appear like a crack, barely visible, right in the middle of the air.

The shaking got worse.

"I am, well, how shall I say it, someone who's in for a bit of fun! My purpose is merely simple thrill seeking. Well, I guess it's not simple at this point, but you understand what I'm saying."

Meanwhile, Niiv put two and two together. The Spirit Realm's about to be destroyed, and with my portals open all the dead will be funneled through! Niiv began giggling and jumped back, pulling out his personal bag of marbles. Antimatter marbles to be exact. He then tossed a few at the crack, hoping not to hit it, but the matter around it!

Leirra smiles again, leaning against the podium. "Oh, accidentally. Botched teleportations, broken wormholes, etc. etc." She says, looking into the White Judge's eyes. "Buuuuuuut, open a strong enough portal inside and it will keep open, allowing intentional travel." She turns to the Niv avatar, waving her hand at him. "Enough toying around, little boy. Your pranks will quickly serve to destroy the cycle of Life itself. If that happens I will kill you myself."
Title: Re: {EVENT} The Living Dead

Niiv, hearing this, was startled, as both he and his avatar were out of visual range. However, having heard this threat many times before, had his usual reaction to it. He laughed. This wasn't a hysterical laugh, it was an actual laugh, as he felt this was a very empty threat. And besides, Niiv had an excellent point to bring up...

"Silly voice, I cannot destroy the cycle of voice, because, as is, there is no cycle to destroy. We live in a voice where the dead stay dead and never rejoin the living. That is no cycle. That is just a one way road!"

(Nis, both Niiv's avatar and the actual Niiv are outside...)

"Very well. Let us -"

And that's when all hell broke lose. The cracking was not destroying the Spirit Realm. But the crack did become incredibly huge.... And out of it, huge, black vines began to fly outwards, wrapping themselves around the suspended spirits, and pulling them into the cracks. By now, it was a full scale Earthquake in the room.

"What is going ON out there!?" Black demanded, hopping down from his podium and running towards the door to examine what was happening.

"Oh dear," the White Judge commented, "I fear it may be too late."

(OOC: Deletrius isn't supposed to be ruled over or known about by the embodiments unless one has been there. It's supposed to be a complete accidental thing. And no, because of that, portals will NOT remain open for very long, just long enough for the person casting it to leave with who they have. Fix it. )

"Everyone! What I'm about to do is too save everyone in the god damned room! No one fight it! Let it happen!" Jack yelled as the spirit realm began to crumble. With one quick motion he ripped his eyepatch off, and the eye beneath it was very far from ordinary. It was an empty space. Not an empty socket, an empty space. A void where his eye was meant to be. It was a gateway to the Void; the only current one in existence. "Just a warning! This'll hurt!" Jack informed before the darkness in his eye expanded rapidly. Everything that was caught in the blackness would find itself in the void nearly instantly.

The Void appeared to be nothing more than an infinitely large gray room. The spirits that weren't taken, and the occupants in the room were all in a relative circle. "Everyone got all their limbs!? I had to move us quick so if I left anything behind I apologize." Jack laughed as he put his patch back on.

"YOU WILL NOT RUIN THIS FOR ME!" Niiv screamed. He then used his anger and knowledge of teleportation to unfix as many dead spirits as he could. They wouldn't unfreeze or anything, but they would be unstuck enough to get sucked out of his portals into the vacuum of space.

And hey, they were already dead! What did they have to loose?

The Reaper, who'd been very silent thus far, looked at Niiv with the orange glow he had for eyes. He reached out his Scythe at the fallen Angel, and the murkish, liquid darkness that made the Reaper up spread towards it...Not that the Reaper would easily be seen in the near-lightless Void. As the shadows approached him, his power would begin to fail. The Reaper had many powers at its disposal to ensure that it could ferry souls from the Living Realm to one of the Spirit Realms. With South gone, the Reaper's usual method was gone, yes...But it still had a few others, such as interfering and blocking the power that another spiritual being was using. Nevermind abilities for when he was tasked with actually bringing other Celestial beings to the Judges, whether they wanted to or not. Additionally, as the Reaper went for Niiv, the lesser Reapers(all of various make and fashion sense, of course; while created by the Reaper himself most were not similar to him in form) set about knitting Niiv's portals shut and sealing off the Realm of the Living from his power.
"Thou shalt stop thy folly. Things greater than we both transpire at this time. Deign to cause more havoc, and I shall rend thy soul in twain."

((And before ANYONE says it, you ALL know what I mean by soul. That is hopefully all that will be said on this matter. Razzin frargit))

Leirra looks around, smiling. "Well now, how long has it been..." She muses, her hand held open to the Void, the material comprising it seeming to shift about her hand like a dog nuzzling it's human. "Relax. This is not the first time this has happened, merely the grandest scale. The vines are taking the departed spirits to the worlds of the Living. Zombies, Ghosts, Poltergeists, Wisps, reflections, there are many occurances of this all over Existence. They will return when they are good and ready, Judges. For now, I'd say enjoy a break. How long has it been now since you've had free time?" She says, looking at them all in turn. "Fallen Angel, former follower of Eli. This was going to happen with or without your interference. It is a natural thing, and you need to learn how a true prank is done. You're little more than a mischievous child." She turns now, to the Reaper.

"Your duty is to the Dead, guiding them to their fate. But this is their fate. This was meant to happen, and if you interfere, I shall devour you myself." She says, smiling to him with the slightly deranged grin of an immortal who'd lived far longer than sanity could hold. "I must admit, your kind have a bit more earthy flavor than I'm used to, but you make for quite the intriguing delicacy."

The Reaper looks around at his various lessers in the room, all numbering in total less than a hundred, then turns back to the Embodiment. The glow-eye-things showed extreme bemusement in addition to their usual melancholy.

"Only two of my children are missing, Embodiment. One of those is only not here because one must keep track of the death in the living realm, even if not yet guide the souls. The other I know for a fact is not dead, though I admit that I am unaware her location nor trade in this age. It intrigues me that thou wouldst boast of something that I know is false. It matters little, however. I owe thou no loyalty nor fear, Embodiment. If thou art to be my slayer, then so shall be in time. Besides, Embodiment...How often is a soul ready to come to the realm of Spirits to begin with? How often is it that any soul has nothing left in the material world? I do guide them to the Judges, and I do give second chances on circumstance, but when I do guide them I am rarely to wait until any are 'good and ready'."
Title: Re: {EVENT} The Living Dead

Leirra laughs, ringing through the area like fingertips on crystal. "Embodiment? Yes, I suppose that would be what you would recognize me as... In any case, little Reaper, this event will come to pass. I'm afraid there is little you and yours can do about it. If you had acted earlier you could have prevented it, but unfortunately it's too late." She says, walking right up to him. Standing before him in a simple red dress, looking almost entirely mortal, she throws her hand to the Void, shifting it, shaping it to her desire. "This is merely the beginning, reaper. Watch, and learn what will soon come to pass..." She adds, the strange material compressing itself into a sort of glass, first showing all of the Universe, quickly zooming on on a lone planet, where the boundaries between the physical and Spirit planes were already thinned even before this calamity.

Real. Prank.

This made Niiv completely irate. Who did she think she was? Who did she think she was talkning to. This was the man who had guided the Lorcar through highly populated planets for the fun of watching. This was a guy who created races through pure unadulterated chaos. This was the guy who had allegedly told every Narrikian commander ever that attacking was a good idea. This guy was, in fact, a REAL prankster, and she had looked at him like releasing the contents of Hell upon the world was a mere teepee. This guy was not going to simply let her off the hook.

Now, what was probably what Niiv should have done to solidify his prank was alter the magic leading the dead to undeath, but he was irate. He imagined the worst possible place in the universe he could think of, reached out his hand, and formed a portal beneath her to it. Unfortunately, he was very tired at this point, and the portal he made at her foot was not big enough to fit a person through. But it was big enough to fit a foot through, and thus, there would be a unanimous collapse, but no damage whatsoever.

Leirra dips a bit to that side, her toes sinking in before she caught herself and hovered. "Really? That's all you could do? Drop the ground out from under just one foot? That's a toddler trick." She says, clearly disappointed. "Well, payback calls for equal effort." She says, shrugging as he turns into a randomized herbivore 8 inches tall, covered in fur with three legs, six ears, four eyes and two noses.

"Children, children, please," the Black Judge complained, looking at the grey room that the Void had presented itself in, "Calm down. There's nothing more we can do but wait this out." He walked up to one of the spirits that had been saved, poking it's frozen form before looking around at who all was present. "Wait... Where's the White Judge?"

--

In the Spirit Realm, meanwhile, the shaking and collapsing and chaos all stopped as the last of the spirits were absorbed into the cracks, which proceeded to close. With the Spirit Realm now completely empty, it began to repair itself, fixing the cracks and damages. It was easier to do this with nobody in the Spirit Realm, and when it was done repairing itself, it would enter a sort of 'hibernation' mode as the blue skies grew black with the tint of night.

The Spirit Realm had temporarily shut down, and as of now, the dead were free -- except for those few lucky ones who had been rescued by Jack, and the ones who had been judged in their time of death worthy of entering the North. Everything was quiet for the first time in a long, long time. As for the dead? They would find themselves back in their bodies, seemingly restored. Seemingly.

Niiv, tired, and on the ground, missed everything Lierra had to say. As he shank to an eight inch animal, all hsi effects stayed the same size, and mad things very confusing for him. It was really dark underneath all the clothing, but for some reason he could still see everything. Now that he thought about it, he could hear and smell everything as well. And why did he have a sudden craving for bamboo?

Holy crap, I'm a panda bear on a pogo stick! Niiv thought to himself. The longer he sat there, the more he put things together. He was six inch panda bear with two arms, one leg, and sensory organs all over his body. Why? he thought, which was hard to do, given how exhasted he was.

But wait, he remembered, I have a remedy for this! Niiv spent the next three minutes trying to make it to his effects, but once he made it there, he was able to find what he needed with relative ease. It was a tiny bottle labeled 5 Year Energy. He showed the cap the 'bear' in 'panda bear,' then spent the next four minutes drinking it down.

"Don't worry about it Judge. You'll see em soon enough." Jack murmured slightly before every other entity in the room disappeared, minus the dead. They had been forcefully expunged from the Void; thrown back into a random  place in existence.

The floor seemingly reached up to grab the Judge; the gray material moving like liquid before hardening around the Judge's leg's and arms.

"You should of taken my offer."

Leirra disappears, a single letter left in her wake for the Reaper.

Looking down at the material as it started to cover his limbs, the Black Judge was more than alarmed. Preparing to respond, he realized it'd be useless here, seeing as he wasn't even in his own plane of existence anymore. The only thing left to do was embrace the Void and let it become a part of him.

One problem.

"You should know," he said aloud to nobody in particular, "If your plan is to control me so you can judge the dead to your will, it won't work. You'll have to take the Spirit Realm to be able to judge the dead. My abilities are useless here. You really don't think the embodiments would be stupid enough to just grant us that kind of responsibility without any limits, did you?"

He grinned as the mallet that had been tucked away firmly in his robe pockets broke free. Growing and pulsing red, it started to hammer it's way through the Void liquid. This was no ordinary mallet. This was a Judge's Mallet, a supercharged mallet with powers granted by Creation. While it would be utterly useless when it came to judgement if not used in the Spirit Realm, it was still a very strong weapon.

And the mallet disappeared alongside the other visitors, but this was not just a fight between the Judge and Jack..he was in the dead center of the Void. He'd be fighting the world around him, the very air, space, and dimensional structure was all his enemy.

"Control you? No..such a primitive tactic wouldn't work. You're a strong willed entity, and I'd break you before I'd ever gain full control over your spirit. You are to be devoured..rendered down to your most basic slightly conscious form before the Void absorbs you and all that you are." Jack laughed as the gray material started to force it's way inside the Judge's body. Through pores, under fingernails, eyes, and mouths.

"Your sacrifice is appreciated."

Niiv shifted back into an angelic form, then became invisible. He was not going to make himself open to harm again. His apparition, however, he was just fine with expending, and used it to speak out. "HEY! Skanky girl in the red dress!" he said. "You think polymorphism is the work of an infant? I've known egg cells who could make a spell like that permanent! Maybe  I should introduce them to you: they might be able to get rid of those zits for you. Or even make you pretty! I know you have a heart of stone and all, but it's something to consider!"

Unfortunately, Leirra had already left when the others were ejected.

Niiv sat for a second, waiting for a reply. Eventually it became exceedingly apparent: she hadn't simply disappeared, but actually left the premises. Dammit, he swore to himself. Now what?

A smile spread across the Black Judge's face as he realized what was happening. The Void wouldn't find it so easy to enter into his body. Sure, he was in the Void, but he wasn't from the Void. He began to reverse the process as a black energy started to LEAVE his body, engulfing the gray material. He wasn't some weak figure head. He was a Judge, one of the most powerful entities in existence. He wasn't about to be devoured.

So, he'd watch as the Void was the one devoured. No, really.

From the Black Energy that left his body, large, floating heads which can only be described as insanely terrifying heads of wolf-like creatures started to bite into the Void, consuming it. The eyes of the giant hound heads were a misty ice blue which seemed to cause the entire place to be much more... Foggy. The Void had literally just invited one of the most terrifying things in existence into it's very midst. Now, it was going to cause the Void to collapse.

As the Judge assaulted the air around him he'd find his attacks useless. It was just due to the nature of what he was fighting..he wasn't a man fighting another man. The wolves bit into the Void; swallowing it as it poisoned and devoured them from within and from outside. Within moments they had turned on the Judge and attempted to rip him to shreds. Their eyes now clouded with a black haze and violent rage.

"Just give up; you are a termite fighting the tree next door."

It wouldn't be so simple as that. The Void was fighting something from the Physical Plane. It was like apples fighting oranges. The wolf heads would not be corrupted so easily, nor would the Black Judge, but he would find attacking the Void to be much harder than he had hoped as well. He wasn't going to simply give up. He would keep fighting, and the Void wouldn't be able to simply stop him, much less devour him.

"Let's show them who the termite really is," the Black Judge decided, chuckling as the wolf heads started to breathe a ice-blue-colored-fire at the Void, not to be simply extinguished, but to begin to light the Void itself, to give what was a dead place life.

With a sigh Jack sprung to action, and sent forth a bolt of pure energy towards the Black Judge, and the ice-blue fire just seemed to fade into the area around it.
It only made it stronger; giving life to a dead place..when the dead place is already a threat? Just seems like you'd be making it stronger.

"You're not going to get anywhere attacking the Void; you'd run out of power before you destroyed a tenth of the plane. Seeing as I am the only current representative I guess I'll be your opponent. Beat me and you leave; I beat you and you belong to the Void." Jack said as he took his eyepatch off; the Void now replaced by a solid black eye.

"Heh," the Black Judge replied, extending his hand outwards, "Sounds fun."

The area around the Black Judge started to shift, to phase. If he couldn't eat the Void, maybe he could use it to his advantage. Basically, he was going to make the Void his bitch. As Void energies started to swirl in his hand, he glared at Jack, intrigued. Did this guy even know what he was getting himself into? It was time to find out... The hard way. Starting... Right. Now.

In his free hand, his mallet appeared, and he started to swing it around and around as the wolf heads vanished. As he continued swinging the mallet, it began to grow more powerful, more charged up, until, finally, he swung it like a baseball bat, unleashing a huge tidal wave of a black water which started right towards Jack. At the same time, huge rifts started to open all around the Void, shifting the area to the Black Judge's liking.

As the tidal wave flooded towards Jack, a huge arena rose up around them.

Jack wouldn't say anything, but using the Void's energies against something that was powered by the Void's energy might not be the best idea. Then again; no one ever said the Black Judge was an intelligent fellow.

"A tidal wave? That's all you can do?" Jack mocked as he raised his hands and made a splitting motion; parting the wave and leaving himself untouched as the black water flowed around him harmlessly. It began to swirl up and around him as the water reached far into the air above the two; forming what appeared to be a volley of black ice arrows in the sky. Suspended in mid-air; waiting for Jack's command to fire.

Without a sound the lethal flock was let loose. Flying through the air with high pitched whistles as they aimed for the Judge's heart.

Niiv, as well as his apparition, screamed in unison, and fled through his, well, I guess you could argue one of their, their portals.

The arrows would be lit on fire before they could even get near the Judge. Green flames illuminated the darkness of the Void as the arrows started to come together in the air to form a ball of sorts, the ice melting from the fire, but the water not extinguishing the fire. The Black Water was water that screamed death, that radiated it. As the water started to boil from the fire that coated it, the fire, too, began to radiate death until finally, the fire and water moved together, not to form steam, but instead, the boiling water surged through the fire as a dark green blob of liquid fire was floating in the air.

"First rule," the Black Judge explained, "Don't piss me off."

The dark green liquid death fire ball did not move, but instead, a marble floor started to appear under the two, with red markings and various signs and characters written all across it.

Leaping backwards and into the air Jack floated there like he was standing on some sort of invisible platform. A smile on his face as he assumed the Black Judge had begun to get serious. He wanted a battle ever since the Excel Tournament had been called off.
Raising his hand into the air a slight shimmer appeared behind him, and without a word he brought it down with his fist like a hammer. The shimmer behind him responded; heading straight towards the Judge.
It was nothing but kinetic force given form, but it was enough for to crush even the Judge's holy bones.

"Heh," the Black Judge uttered as the glimmer of Kinetic Force moved with incredible speed towards the Judge. One of the red markings on the floor changed to a green color, trapping the glimmer of kinetic force in place above the green marking. The Kinetic Force would pound into a barrier as the form that it was being carried through was absorbed by the green marking, eaten like a seal -- but it wasn't a seal. Seals trapped form inside magic, binded it to the magic of the seal until such a time that the seal was released. The green marking literally ate the form, not binding it, but devouring it as the green mark disappeared all together.

"It's been awhile," the Black Judge replied, "I might be rusty."

Something seemed different in the Black Judge's eye. He wasn't acting like his normal self. Something inside him had reawakened, an old flame lit inside his eyes -- the flame of a retired warrior. He was usually cynical and sceptical. Now, he was... Something else. A veteran of the Harbinger, the most destructive of wars. His spirit had long ago been rekindled into the form of a judge. However; the memories of war were still fresh in his mind.

In the air above the two, the liquid fire was expanding, stretching out above their heads.
