Post by: UnStellar on October 18, 2012, 01:56:37 PM
Race Name: Owl Sages
Physical Appearance: Like most sages, near human besides large wings on their backs. From there it varies, but most have an oddly avian physique, slim and precise. Slim mouths and large eyes are typical sign of Owl Sages, and sharp nails. Sometimes grow feathers in different places, oftentimes mixed in with hair.
Abilities, Traits: Owl Sages retain the usual magical prowess of their race, with additional bonuses. Owl Sages are blessed with incredible hunter instincts, to the point of sometimes being referred to as Hunter Sages. Their physical vision is incredible by day and damn near unbelievable by night. Besides their physical vision, racial intuition leads to a highly honed instinct for hunting sentient and non-sentient prey. Additionally, Owl Sages have amazing magical senses that ties in with their vision and natural instincts, acting as a sixth sense. They are notorious for spotting through illusions, magical and otherwise, and can read through most spells that hide magic signatures. Very powerful Owl Sages are known to feel across entire planets to find a specific magic signature. Owl Sages also have limited shape shifting ability, transforming into full owls for ease of flying.
Typical Lifespan: 400-600 years
Public or private?: Totally Public!
Other information: A large sect of Owl Sages left their home dimension and fit right in on Autumnavia. They make their home there.

What about the rabbit sages we had? I didn't think they were mythical. And owls have a lot of backround in many cultures, they are seen as omens which could count. If it's that big of a deal I can change it.

It was a mythical type of rabbit, Moon Rabbit.

So if you're going with cultural mythology, then yeah, that's fine. I thought you just meant like regular barn owls and such.
Then again barn owls...

Sages don't have to be based on mythological creatures, as long as they have some mythology about them. Approved.
