Title: Infection
Post by: Gaserlake on December 12, 2012, 01:54:15 AM
As soon as the infected planet of has been teleported to the Outerverse, every single piece of technology failed. The Virus broke the jar open and turned everything that was in it to normal size. Then, it moved all technology through the rip to the former Aralang prison dimension. The Virus began infecting the Outerverse and quickly sapped its power. Every single infected person, as well as the infected planet, which made up the an entire dimension's worth of Aralangs, spread the Virus across the Outerverse. The infection spread at an increasing rate. The more the Outerverse was infected, the faster it became infected. Soon, the entire Outerverse would be under complete control of the Garelang Virus.

The infected ships and stations in the prison dimension stood by to protect the Virus.

It would not be so easy for the Virus to simply infect the Outerverse. It was no longer under Hikaru's control, after all, and it was a dimensional core created by the embodiments to power the dimensions, not some mere planet. When Aralia appeared in the sky above the Outerverse, immediately, the Outerverse's defences kicked in as red barriers surrounded it to stop it from moving the technology through the rip -- and to contain the planet and the virus in the sky, to stop it from spreading throughout the Outerverse. As the virus also tried to spread its infection from within the rip, which had long ago been forgotten, it would find the ancient spells which the Relorians had put in place to protect the rip eight years ago still in place. It would have to go through the Relorian spells first.

The Court Guardians stood tall before the virus, which when they came through the rip towards the Outerverse, seemed to only be moving back into the Aralian dimension. They watched the virus, each one ready to strike should the time come, save the Hunter. Raising his bow to the skies, he fires off one single arrow that disappeared into the skies, heralding the return of the Virus, and because of that, the Aralangs that were sure to come...

With the power of an entire dimension, the Virus easily broke through the Relorian spells and the red barriers, as if the spells and the barriers were made of soaked paper. The technology simply moved into the Aralang dimension's side of the rip, where it immediately began working again.

The Virus gained more and more control of the Outerverse, and the effect the Outerverse had on nulling technology rapidly grew weak. It would not be long before the Outerverse was the Virus'.

Quickly after, there were as many Aralangs as there could to quickly react to this new threat: hundreds of Keepers and Dreadnoughts, and even a few Sajuuks. The Virus and the Aralangs battled out in the Aralang dimension.

The Garelang Virus then mustered an enormous amount of energy, and then released it constantly across a huge area of the Aralang dimension. It was a magical minefield, except, it was everywhere. Every inch, no,  down to a point, was a mine. The minefield quickly expanded, and quickly enveloped the Relorians, who took serious damage within seconds.

But the field's primary effectiveness was to damage the Aralang shields. Within seconds, it enveloped the Aralang ships. More than it damaged the Relorians, it damaged the Aralang shields to an extreme level. Within minutes, the Aralang shields were down to critical level, even to the Sajuuks.

(Time until Outerverse infection is complete: 1/3)

It wouldn't be as easy as the Virus would have hoped. It was trying to take a dimensional core, the ultimate battery source for dimensions, and it wasn't going to be as easy as ripping through paper. The barrier only seemed to re-enforce itself the more the Virus tried to break through it. It wouldn't be able to spread through the Outerverse, because, well, frankly, this was one match that was too big for even the Virus. After all, this was the biggest access point for the dimensions -- surely it was not as insecure as the Virus might have hoped.

The red barrier began to close in as a ward appeared on it. The barrier's inner-walls were lined with a one-way portal into the Aralang Dimension. The Outerverse was slowly getting rid of the virus by forcing it out and into the Aralang dimension.

Unfortunately for the Virus, the Relorian's Guardians were more than mere spells. After all, if they were, the events during the ASF's attack all those years ago would have caused it to fail and dissipate. Instead it had been left to mature, to bask in the unique energies of the Outerverse, as well as the residual magic from all the fights since. The Snake, Bear, Lion and Gryphon all emerge from the Gate yet again, having been sitting dormant in the Outerverse through the years. They are quite a bit different from the memories within the infected Aralians. Shining with an odd sort of half-physical shell, they quite literally charge right into the virus, untouchable by the virus, as if they weren't actually there.

The Four Generals, Sword, Pike, Hammer and Bow, immediately set upon the Virus, analyzing it even as they work with the Redwall to force the Virus out. The Knights take a much less, peaceful, approach. Orion stands behind them, overseeing it all as the Knights tear and slice at the Virus, their weapons feeding off the stored energy inside each foe. With each strike, they grow more and more powerful, stealing away more and more energy.

Behind the Gate, two silhouettes stand next to each other, too blurred to see even their gender as they watch the battle.

Suddenly, the Virus grew stronger. How? The Virus from other dimensions put their power into the Virus in the Outerverse to help, and more continued to help every second. At the same time, dimensions' worth of the Virus came through. How was it happening? Because before the Virus vanished, it has infected hundreds of other dimensions. The Aralang Prison Dimension was not the only dimension other than the SP dimension that it infected. At the same time, the Virus was infecting other dimensions, and the more dimensions the Virus infected, the more of the Virus was coming. Therefore, the Virus was coming at an increasing rate. As soon as the Virus came, which was outside of the red barrier, it began to infect the Outerverse. The combined force of the Virus soon made the fact that the Outerverse was a dimensional core futile. It didn't matter if the Outerverse was a planet, or a dimensional core; it was going to be taken over, either way. The infection of the Outerverse was inevitable. The Virus would soon be more powerful than the dimensional core itself, as it has the power of other dimensions themselves working against the Outerverse, and there were more to be infected, much more.

With this power, and with the fact that the Virus adapted to the barrier, the Virus broke through barrier. In fact, the break was so powerful, the Virus disintegrated the barrier into energy that was consumed by the Virus, which made it ever so much more powerful.

The Virus also appeared outside of the Outerverse and began to infect it, protected from the dimensional sea by an immense power of magic. Now, the Outerverse became infected from both the outside and the inside, which sped the process of infection.

The Virus sensed that the Snake, Bear, Lion, and Gryphon were somehow untouchable by the Virus, so the Virus simply avoided it. The Virus began to sap the power that made the four untouchable.

The Knights' attempts of stealing the energy from the Virus became useless. It was like taking a grain of sand from a beach. It became even more useless, as the Virus adapted to their energy, which made the Virus more resistant to it. In fact, it became so adapted, that the Virus gained energy from the blows of the Knights' weapons.

The Virus then sapped the power of the Outerverse at an immense rate. At the same time, the Outerverse's effects on technology began to falter at a drastic rate.

Meanwhile, the infected Aralang ships pinned down all of the Aralang ships to where they were, preventing their escape. The Virus then finally took down the shields, and infected all of the ships. The infected ships then turned to the Outerverse, where they devoted their power to the minefield, which had its primary capability switched to destroying Relorians. The Virus from many other dimensions then helped the Virus on destroying the Relorian spell. It was just a matter of time before the spell was destroyed. The minefield bent around the rip, by exiting the Aralang dimension, and then entering the Outerverse next to the rip, and then attacked the Relorians with huge damage.

It would not be simple for the Virus to draw power from the ASF Dimension. This was due to the barriers, of course, that were separating the Outerverse from the ASF Dimension. The Outerverse could easily lock down what came in and went out. But when the power of many dimensions started to be thrown towards the Outerverse, well, that was a problem. To make sure it couldn't get outside the Red Wall, the Outerverse quickly moved to cut off the supply of the Virus by stopping the infected dimensions from supplying the Outerverse virus. How?

It was going to kill the infected dimensions. It started to cut off the supply of Dimensional Energy to those infected Dimensions. The Outerverse was like a giant firewall, and when it realized something was wrong, it was moving to solve the problem. Of course, the Virus was insanely quick -- near instant. The Virus in the Outerverse would get a big power boost before the Outerverse defenses had kicked in -- possibly enough to break through the Red Wall. Especially with its adaption abilities. The break would not be powerful enough to turn the barrier into energy, thanks to the fact that the Outerverse had cut off the Infected Dimensions, but it would be enough to cause the barrier to fail. The Virus would now have to find a way to make the Outerverse continue supplying Dimensional Energy -- the life of dimensions -- to the Infected Dimensions, and would also need to take down the Outerverse defenses. It was still at the Surface of the Outerverse and had a long way to go to get to the core of the Dimensional Core.

The Dimensional Sea is the sea of Creation and Destruction energies that surrounds the entire Dimensional Plane -- the space between Dimensions is more of a vacuum instead of a sea. When the Virus began to infect the Dimensional Sea, it would find the energies there burning through it. The question was, would it have time to adapt before it was destroyed? Considering it was so spread out with the fight in the Outerverse, this was doubtful. The Dimensional Sea was incredibly strong residue left over from the single most powerful event in trillions of years -- the creation of the Dimensional Plane.

The Virus was trying to sap the power of the Outerverse, but it would only really be able to affect the surface until it tried going deeper. The surface energies being sapped would allow some technology to enter if it continued, but that was about it. The sun in the Outerverse's sky would also start to set. It was a magical sun and not a real star. The setting of the sun meant the Outerverse was going into lockdown mode. A second red wall would appear, layering the atmosphere, causing the sky to grow red. This would prevent more unwanted arrivals, including arrivals through the rip.

The Outerverse now started to go to work attacking the Virus. The Outerverse was a giant filter for dimensions. It filtered excess Dimensional Energy and the like. It recognised that the Virus was a threat and it adapted as well. It was learning what the Virus was composed of in order to adapt its filtering abilities so that it could filter the Virus from the Dimensions.

The final Court Guardian, who had stood silent, watching the entire battle, finally raises his hand to address his comrades, and the Virus. "Enough play." He says, his voice gravelly and strong, cutting through the din of battle. The Hunter stops firing his arrows, even as the Spirit Guides, the Lion, Gryphon, Snake and Bear, break apart into billions of tiny motes of light, converging on Orion's own bow. The Protector's shields grow larger and larger, quickly moving to cover the rip entirely as Love and Life put their hands on his shoulders. Blade, Hammer and Pike all salute Orion, before similarly disappearing into clouds of tiny fireflies. Orion stares through the rip, his arms held out wide as he watches the virus. "Come then, ye who seek to destroy all. Come, and ye shall see the true strength of that which you will never hold."

The sound of a child's laughter echoes through behind Orion's voice, originating from somewhere behind him, in a small area that suddenly seemed very, wrong, to any Virus bits inside it. As if to stay inside was to court cataclysm. "Spirit-mommy, can I come to play?"

(Disregard the Dimensional Sea. It has been changed to the Dimensional Void, a place that exists between dimensions. It's not the Dimensional Sea, the place that exists outside the Dimensional Plane.)

The Virus quickly moved out of the affected dimensions before they collapsed. However, the Virus spread to other dimensions faster than the dimensions' energy has been cut off, as it infected multiple dimensions at once, and there were an infinite amount of dimensions available. This made it so that the Virus had an unlimited source of power. The dimensions that have been infected gave power to the Virus that was inside the Outerverse.

The Virus then released AME. However, this was no ordinary AME; this AME was able to adapt to achieve the possible maximum potency against the Outerverse. As soon as the AME touched the Red Wall, the AME adapted to the Red Wall, and the Red Wall quickly failed and broke down into nothing. The AME then touched the surface of the Outerverse, where it started to quickly adapt to how to be the most effective against the surface. It then seeped through the surface, and far down underground, adapting on the way. The Virus followed suit, and was able to infect much faster and easier, due to low to no resistance. The anti-technology effect then failed.

If ships and mages in the Dimensional Void could survive in the Dimensional Void, then so can the Virus. And so, the Virus was able to adapt to the harsh environment of the Void. The Virus then generated a gigantic AM field around the Outerverse, and the field started to move itself in to the Outerverse. The AM field, as well, adapted to the Outerverse to maximize the efficiency against it.

It was too late for the second Red Wall to form, as there were already dimensions' worth of the Virus in the Outerverse. Due to the amount of the Virus in the Outerverse, the AME became excessive, as if it was being spammed like some noob pressing the "Generate AME" button ten times a second. The AME reached the atmosphere, and eventually the edge of the Outerverse, destroying the second Red Wall along the way before the Wall reached its maximum potential. The Outerverse was now being attacked from both the inside and the outside.

However, the Outerverse could not figure out what the Virus was composed of, as the Virus, in its adaptive nature, kept changing. Once the Outerverse tried to figure out what the Virus was composed of, the Virus purposely changed itself continuously, to the point that it had no definite composition.

As soon as the second Red Wall was destroyed, 40 infected Keepers shoot at the Protector's shields, while 10 infected Dreadnoughts charged up their cannons. The attacking ships undocked all of their Fighters, Gunships, and Beamships, which attacked the shields with plasma and SE. The Keepers and the Dreadnoughts, at the same time, also shot plasma at the shields, as well as the secondary SE beams. The shields were engulfed in a huge ball of blue-hot plasma.

The number of dimensions was finite, though the fact that some dimensions had infinite universes meant that the Virus would have trouble infecting entire dimensions so quickly. The Outerverse would filter the Virus out of the dimensions before it could conquer them -- before it could even come close to conquering them. It was attacking the Virus by breaking it down into base Tech Existence and reconverting it into Dimensional Energy. It knew the Virus would adapt soon, and so it kept adapting to, never breaking down the Virus in the same exact way but changing how it attacked the Virus everytime. It was literally killing the Virus -- the dimensions were a vulnerability, not a strength, for the Virus, because in the Dimensions, the Outerverse could get to it.

The Outerverse operated using Dimensional Science and had been created by the divine Surgrounded embodiments. The AME had little effect on the Outerverse itself, though the same couldn't be said for the Relorians inside. The Red Wall, not being magic, would not be broken down so fast. It, too, was able to adapt, and it was fighting back. The moment it touched the Red Wall, Dimensional Energy surged into the AME and began to dilute it down as bright lights filled the red sky. When the AME came towards the surface of the Outerverse, it would find seeping harder to achieve. The closer to the Core it got, the less effective technology would be and the more the Core would start to break down the Tech Existence. The surface's power was failing but the Dimensional Core was not so easy to take -- and why would it be? It was what provided fuel for the Dimensional Plane. Hikaru, K2323, the Relorians, Kai, the Aralangs -- they'd all been able to take the Outerverse, but they had been protectors of its surface, unable to harness the true, raw power of the core itself -- it couldn't be owned like the Outerverse's surface -- not without destroying the Dimensional Plane.

More defences to stop the Virus from getting past the surface. A giant light-tower suddenly started to rise up out of the ground where the AME had touched the surface.

The Second Red Wall was drawing upon power from the Outerverse itself, not just the surface. It was trying to protect itself. Trying to face off against a giant battery was crazy -- this was the power source of the Dimensions. You could have the power of hundreds of Dimensions (but the Outerverse was fighting the Virus in those dimensions, so it didn't even have such insane power) -- but what good would that do if you were fighting the battery that supplied all that power? Ships and mages couldn't survive in the Dimensional Sea (they could survive in the Dimensional Vacuum -- that's different). The Virus wouldn't have time to adapt to the sea. Even if it did have time, the Dimensional Sea was outside the Dimensional Plane and a long way away from the Outerverse, so generating an AM Field from the Dimensional Sea was pointless and useless. To be effective the Virus would need to be in the Dimensional Vacuum -- the space inside the Dimensional Plane, between the dimensions -- to really do much good.

The fact that the Virus was in the Dimensional Sea was significant. While it couldn't really adapt it was surviving longer than most did -- and so a unique scientific process began to occur. A new dimension was being created outside the Dimensional Plane, around the Virus. It would use the Virus as matter. A Virus Dimension outside the Dimensional Plane itself. As Creation and Destruction energies started to pour into the dying Virus in the sea, a massive implosion occurred as a wave of Dimensional Radiation spread through the sea and the walls of this new extradimensional dimension began to form.

The AME was not as powerful as it hoped and couldn't destroy the Second Red Wall -- this was because it didn't have dimensions worth of power thanks to the fact that the Outerverse was fighting the Virus before it could takeover the dimensions. It had lost a lot of its power by abandoning the dying Dimensions. The Outerverse wasn't being attacked from the Outside -- because the Dimensional Sea was a long way away from the outside of the Outerverse -- and it was barely being attacked in the inside with its energy supply cut off. Any link the Virus had in the Outerverse to its counterparts outside the Outerverse would soon be cut off by the Second Red Wall. It was going to be cut off; very limited.

It didn't matter if the Outerverse didn't know what the Virus was composed of. The Outerverse adapted too. Besides; Destroying the Virus was as simple as converting whatever it WAS made of to Dimensional Energy. Doing that meant attacking the roots of its existence, using Destruction. Tearing down the base existence of the Virus and recreating it as Dimensional Energy. The Virus was powerful, but for the moment, its power was gained from reactions in the Dimensional Plane -- be it scientific reactions within dimensions or feeding from the raw power of Dimensions themselves. Attacking the power source was like biting the hand that feeds. It was only destroying itself.

The second Red Wall was not destroyed. The 40 Infected Keepers couldn't enter the Outerverse, nor could the Dreadnoughts or any of the other ships. Their fire would hit the Relorian spells and barriers and if it somehow got through all of those, it would still have to face the Second Red Wall. Even the Saraton Energy would have a hard time being very effective. Again, this wasn't a dimension the Virus was fighting -- it was the ultimate power source that fed dimensions and required infinite power.

Orion smirks as each Court Guardian fades into motes of light as the AME gets closer. He looks to the girl, offering his hand, which she takes. They both look back to the Virus, Orion gesturing to the lands around it. "I think it is time your door is closed for good." He calls out, the girl giggling as she reaches out for one side of the Rip, Orion reaching for the other, even as the AME hits them. "Hey Mister! I wanna slam the door in their faces!" The girl says, giggling still, making Orion laugh. "Well then..."

As the Virus also tried attacking from outside in the Dimensional Void, the Red Wall did not waver. It was designed to keep things out, actually, not in, so it was more geared for the attack from the Outside then it ever could be from the inside.

However, the Virus was able to jump from one dimension to another before it infected the universes within the dimensions. Therefore, the Virus is spreading faster than the Outerverse can contain.

As the AME got closer to the Outerverse, the magic signature that bound K2323 and the Outerverse got weaker.

The Virus took advantage of the Red Wall, which was trying to bring the Virus out of the Outerverse. The Red Wall helped the Virus and the AME spread outward. The Virus was able to consume the entire atmosphere, as well as much of the underground. At the the same time, though, it multiplied, and filled up the space in the atmosphere.

The Virus, outside of the Outerverse, then tapped into the Dimensional Energy that was given to countless dimensions. It already infected, and adapted to, countless dimensions, which were made of and powered by the Dimensional Energy. Therefore, the Dimensional Energy was a familiar thing, and adapting to it was easy. It collected the Dimensional Energy in huge amounts, and at an increasing rate. This gave the Virus the power of many more dimensions.

The Red Wall was destroyed, as the Virus was able to take over dozens, and eventually, hundreds of dimensions. The Virus was able to keep a steady amount of dimensions, as it infected more dimensions than the Outerverse can destroy. Therefore, the infected ships were able to go through the rip, spread more AME, and attack the Relorians.

As the Virus took more control of the Outerverse, it used a unique signature to bind itself to the Outerverse. It used what it was made of as a signature: Magic Existence and Tech Existence. Those two Existences were combined together to form the Virus. It was a very strong signature, as Magic Existence and Tech Existence are a high-tier, and they are in a higher tier than magic, which K2323 used to bind himself to the Outerverse. Magic Existence controlled magic, including, but not limited to, the magic signature that K2323 used to bind himself to the Outerverse. Because of this, the Virus' signature is much more powerful than K2's signature. It would also be harder to get rid of the Virus' signature.

How did it use Magic and Tech Existences? The Virus was made of Magic and Tech Existences combined together. This was automatically one step closer to manipulating Magic Existence and Tech Existence. With that, it used magic and technology to gain access to Magic Existence and Tech Existence, respectfully.

But that was not all. The Virus went farther, however. It used every infected spirit to gain enough energy to tap into Spirit Existence. The Virus then manipulated Spirit Existence to be a part of the Virus' signature. This made the Virus' signature much more powerful, as it used all three Existences.

As the Virus inserted its own signature, K2's signature got weaker. The Virus' signature got stronger and stronger.

Post by: K2 on January 01, 2013, 03:40:45 PM
The magic signature of K2323 may have been getting weaker, but the Outerverse was acting on its own interests right now. It allowed people to harness it to protect its surface. Right now, though, it might as well have been unowned -- this was far too great a threat for K2323. The Outerverse was wild right now, refusing to be tamed. It was going to rip apart the Virus inch by inch, destroy it completely.

The Dimensional Energy was far below the surface, and the Virus could not simply collect it at will. As it tried to infect the underground, something remarkable happened. Rising out from the underground to meet the Virus was... The Virus. A replicated form of the Virus which the Dimensional Energy below had taken the form of. It collided harshly into the other virus, ready to adapt to it as well. Needless to say, this was going to be an epic fight. Blood against blood. Meanwhile, to prevent the viruses from getting into the underground, huge, black seals appeared on the surface, as well as along the Red Wall, and would start sealing away. These seals would also prevent the Red Wall from being destroyed and the Virus from continuing its spread, because if the seals absorbed the blows and started to absorb the Virus itself, the Red Wall would be fine.

The Virus would not be able to rapidly spread, as more of these seals were now laced into the Dimensional Energy, designed to specifically target the Virus. It wouldn't be able to adapt, as all of this happened all at once, and the Virus would find itself sealed. The Outerverse was going to destroy the Virus entirely by sealing it in one blow. It wasn't just destroying the virus in the Outerverse. It was destroying the entire Virus. The Virus's signature would also be absorbed by the seals.

(3-day rule)

The Relorians got obliterated by the infected ships. All that remained were craters of where they stood.

It wasn't the Dimensional Energy below the surface that the Virus tapped into; it was the Dimensional Energy sent to all the other dimensions on the positive side of the dimensional plane that the Virus tapped into. Thus, the Virus got much, much stronger.

Unfortunately for the Outerverse, the Virus made it so that there was no room. K2's signature didn't get replaced by nothing; his signature got replaced by the Virus' signature. Therefore, there was no unowned part of the Outerverse. It was partially owned by K2323, or partially owned by the Garelang Virus. At this point, the Outerverse is mostly owned by the Virus. Only a little bit of K2's signature remained.

The Garelang Virus was waiting for another virus to come up against it. However, it knew one thing the Outerverse didn't know: the Virus was subgrounded. This gave the Virus the extra edge, as in, it's faster, stronger, and it can adapt more efficiently. This lets the Garelang Virus beat the Outerverse Virus, as the Garelang Virus is better than the Virus in every way to defeat the enemy. The difference is significant. Therefore, the Virus has the upper hand, and the Garelang Virus was able to adapt to, and infect, the Outerverse Virus more efficiently than the Outerverse Virus could do the same to the Garelang Virus. Plus, since the Outerverse Virus is made of Dimensional Energy, which the Garelang Virus has already adapted to, the Garelang Virus was able to easily defeat the Outerverse Virus.

For the seals? The Outerverse would not be able to target the Virus with seals so easily, as the Virus constantly changes, as well as what it infects. Even the souls, magic signatures, and spirits change. The AME would also prevent the seals from being formed. Nevertheless, when the Virus detected attempts of creating seals, it created wards to counter any potential seals that would hinder the Virus from its infection abilities, adaption abilities, and magic abilities, all protected by spirit energy.

Therefore, the Red Walls broke. The Virus from the outside and from the inside were too much for the Outerverse. The Virus, with the AME, went deeper and deeper underground, taking over K2323's signature along the way. It went into the core, where it easily adapted to, since the core was full of Dimensional Energy, which the Virus has long since adapted to. The takeover of the Outerverse was almost done.

As the Virus spread into the 'Verse, a man was standing upsidedown in the air nearby a certain house, with a brown paper bag covering his head. The bag itself had a poorly drawn face on its 'front' side, which shifted from its default blank expression to one of bemused surprise at the incoming Plague. Even if the Plague took notice of him, though, it couldn't infect him. It would pass through him, finding nothing to latch onto. Not physical, nor magical, nor psionic, nor even ethereal. However, immediately surrounding him was something new for it to come at odds with.
Discord. Entropy. Disorder.
Chaos.

The primordial force surrounded the man, obrying not his will but at the same time affecting him not. The Virus may attempt to 'infect' such a power, but would it truly be wise to do so? After all, Chaos was a force of corruption, mutation, instinct and wildness. For now the power merely surrounded the man, waiting and biding its time. Metaphorically speaking, of course. I mean, its not like there was a driving mind behind it right now. . .Right?

The Virus would find that the raw power of the Core was far too powerful for any entity to "own", but he had mostly completed the takeover of the surface, which is what K2323 'owned', by now. As K2323's magic signature started to fade, though, something... Different happened. The Virus would be entranced in memories, parts of K2323's past -- more so, he would seemingly be face to face with part of K2323 himself, not his physical body but a construct of him projected by the magic signature. The Virus and K2323 were in a quiet, somewhat dark room of wood, hovering over a cradle. K2323 looked up at the Virus, nodding to it.

"Go ahead. Look inside," he said, motioning towards the cradle.

As the Virus gained control of the Outerverse, it had easier access to the core. Despite the core's power, the Virus was able to go through, receiving power of the core along the way.

The Virus gained complete control of the surface. This gave the Virus enough control of the Outerverse to kick the the man with the brown paper bag, out of the Outerverse.

Since there was no more of K2's magic signature left in the Outerverse, the construct of K2323's memories of his past quickly faded.

The Virus has almost complete control of the Outerverse.

Not even K2323 had the power of the core, neither would the Virus. It was far too strong and couldn't easily be tamed. However; the Virus had almost drowned out K2323's signature, and thus almost taken complete control of the Surface -- kicking out the Bag Headed Man wouldn't be hard. But a construct of K2323 was in the memories alongside the Virus -- K2323 wasn't going to go down without showing the Virus something important.

K2323's case was different, as K2323 didn't try to take the core. The Virus did. As the Virus gained control of the Outerverse, the Outerverse let the Virus take control of the core. Therefore, the Virus was able to control the entire Outerverse.

The Virus simply blocked the memory from going into its mind.

The Outerverse would not simply let the Virus take control of its core. In fact, the Outerverse was not technically sentient and couldn't do that. It had no free will. So far, its defences had been responding in a programmed manner. The Outerverse had been adapting and learning from the Virus, but it was not alive. The Outerverse's core could not simply be taken over. It was the battery source for half of the Dimensional Plane. Taking it was not really possible.

If the Outerverse can simply kick something out, then it would also be able to do the opposite: bring something in to its core. The Outerverse may not be sentient, as in, self-aware, but was aware of what was going on. The Outerverse had free will, otherwise it would not have been able to defend itself against the Virus, without K2323. If it had no free will, then the Virus would have made controlling the core possible by controlling the Outerverse. It is possible to take over a single power plant that powers an entire city. This was what was happening, except on a bigger scale.

(3-day rule.)

The Virus has successfully taken control of the core of the Outerverse, and therefore the entire Outerverse.

(Due to the fact that it's ruled out as godmodding to control the core of the Outerverse, I will not infect the Outerverse.)

The Virus infected as much as it could. The Virus then sent much of the infected to many different dimensions.
