Burn.
The massive military complex that was Fort Cloud began to burn. Not just the sun defences, but the planet itself. Technology destroyed. Magical relics and the like gone. Soldiers screamed out in pain as nuclear warheads were dropped all over the planet. Was this the death of the Anrufe? Had they been found by one of their enemies? If so, where were the enemy ships? Where were the enemy forces?
Who knew. And who cared. In one antagonizing moment, the Anrufe cried out -- and then they were gone. Their ships? Gone. Their technology? Gone. Their people?
Gone.
