...Since the last RP sucked, and I guess no one likes crossover. Here's a new one and this time NOT a crossover but just our MLP OCs and ponysonas in equestria. Plots will come later. (I have a few.)
Name: Ember Bright
Age/Gender: Mare
Race: Non-royal Alicorn (Oh I'm such a mary-sue.)
Cutiemark: A golden marking that resembles both a feather and a flame at the same time.
Special Talent: Metaphorical Rebirth: It's a talent in putting every
thing on the line and losing it all to achieve your goals, as well as the ability to regain all that was lost after achieving the intended goal. Aka, you lose everything in the wake of something big, but can quickly regain it all later.
...And flames don't hurt her. She can fly and walk through fire.
Appearance: (http://i.imgur.com/nLV5j.png)
Personality: Ember can be selfish, demanding, distant, sarcastic and cold at times. Yet, excited and joking around at others. It all depends on what mood you catch her in and whether or not she has warmed up to you yet or hates your guts. To the world she hates everypony, but to the few she has acknowledged as her friends, that may not be the case. Ember is also not afraid to do whatever it takes to get her way and won't be told otherwise~
Lives: Somewhere between Canterlot and Ponyville.
BIO: TBA
-
Name: North Wind
Age/Gender: Mare
Race: Snow-Pegasus
Cutiemark: A simple four line mark in white that represents the harsh winds in a blizzard and an aurora.
Special Talent: Agility: North's accustomed to harsher conditions than the average pony. She tends to do hard tasks quite easily, especially those like rescues in tough terrain.
Appearance: You like em tall? (http://swiftyuki.deviantart.com/gallery/34801280#/d5hxxah)
Personality: North has been alone for all her life so far, but can be very social. She gives everyone a chance, but after that chance is broken.... She's very cold. There are times where she feels like forgiving somepony (this can be several times too, but that isn't often). North's able to speak out her thoughts, whether or not anypony is listening.
Lives: Around the Crystal Empire's last location.
BIO: North doesn't know of any parents or siblings related to her. In fact, she doesn't really know anypony. Instead, she's been living on her own in the snowy lands for her entire life, practicing her moves and trying to better herself into flying against blizzard winds.

Name: Captain Cato
Gender: M
Age: 26
Species: Earth Pony
Features: Over 50% of his body is prosthetic due to heavy injuries during combat. (refer to picture)
Cutie Mark: refer to above picture.
Special Talent/Cutie Mark meaning: Strategy and Tactics
Skills: While he is heavily skilled in the art of war, Cato also possesses great efficiency with close quarters combat.
Appearance: (http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/300/7/1/lt__cato__revamp__by_lyoko222-d5j2q4e.png)
Residence: Officer's Barracks, Canterlot, Equestria
Occupation: Special Forces Operator/Team Leader
Personality: Cato is a very fun loving person who always wants to live his life to the fullest and is always reminded by his battlescars to do so. He enjoys most of everything in life, and tries to maintain a positive outlook on life. Alternatively, he is a cold-heartless killer when deployed as a Special Forces Operator. He is calculating and analytical when carrying out orders. This personality trend is possibly a side effect of PTSD sustained during his military career.
Flaws/Weaknesses: Cato is a very fun loving guy when off duty, but this can get him into trouble sometimes due to his tendency to drink socially and to excess. Cato also suffers from some sort of dissociative psychological disorder when deployed, where his personality changes from fun-loving to cold and calculating. He also suffers from a fear of sudden loud noises similar to the magic bomb that destroyed a good part of is body. Such noises cause him to drop into a defensive position on the ground.

In, for both of you.

Name: Aether Star
Age/Gender: Colt, 22. I dunno how aging works for ponies.
Race: Earth Pony. ... PSYCHIC Earth Pony. YEEEAAAH (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YMPAH67f4o)
Cutiemark: What looks like a Green Galaxy, representing both the very cosmos and the life that binds it all together.
Special Talent: Psychic abilities. Yes, I totally went there. Magic is overrated yo.
... I kid, but his psychic abilities deals with his connection to the universe, and because of that, he is REALLY into astronomy, so there's that if you don't do psychic stuff in yer Pony Universe.
Appearance: I got two.
This is the colors of Aether, and the cutiemark.
http://i.imgur.com/P44Oz.jpg
My art skills have degraded, but this is the general idea of what I'm looking for. The third eye appears in a haze whenever Aether uses a Psychic ability, much like how a Unicorn pony has their horn glow.
Personality: I like to think that Aether is an extension of myself, so I'll probably RP him as if I was actually him.
Lives: An Observatory near the northern part of the planet. He's in Ponyville for a 3 month vacation.
BIO: Aether was commissioned by Celestia to record star charts, and other astronomical phenomena. He does his job alone in the freezing parts of the northern world, and provides quality work. He got to this point through a rather large amount of work at a cheap community college, which he paid for by working at a cafe. It was his theorems and other academic papers that caught the eye of Celestia and other established academics that propelled him to not only further his education even further, but to become an accomplished astronomer under scholarships provided by the crown. One can possibly say that Aether is the best at what he does, but according to his cutiemark, well, it's not his best talent.
Where Aether gained his psychic abilities, there's no clear answer. Aether assumes that he inherited it from his uncertain parents that he has no knowledge of, considering his earliest memories are of an orphanage in Canterlot, and he unlocked them by feeling that he was incapable of succeeding in a world dominated by unicorn and pegasi ponies, through sheer iron will alone. His psychic abilities seem to include psychokinesis, transvection, Spiritual healing in the form of Reiki, precognition, Astral projection, and channeling. He also possesses a weaker form of Telepathy, but cannot communicate words; just images and feelings.
/me breaks MLP lore one post at a time.. :D

My shattered pony
So come derp and RP ponies with me.
Hik: Big adventures
Yuki: Tons of fun
Lyoko222: Crazy ass staff
K2: Confusing plots
Blade: Sharing kindness
Zai: is the rarest thing.
All: And bronies make it all complete.
You have, my shattered pony.
I hope you know I fucking hate you all too.......
-
Name: Shattered-Tan
Age/Gender: Mare
Race: Alicorn?
Cutiemark: SP
Special Talent: Agility: ADMIN POWERZ
Appearance: (http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/300/d/f/shattered_tan_pony___shattered__planes_by_infitima-d5fkvc4.png)
Personality: Shattered is the craziest bitch you will ever meet. She is bi-polar as hell, and curses worse than most equestrian sailors. However, she can be nice, and forgiving, especially when she shouldn't be (This is especially true for Cato). She is very independent, but still desires the shared dominance relationship she has with Capt. Cato. Very fun loving as well.
Lives: Canterlot
BIO: TBA

The hustle of the moving crowds was ever apparent, readying themselves for another astounding show that comes about once a year, to celebrate Equestria's greatest tradition. Hearths Warming Eve. The very founding of the great and powerful land of all ponies was to be shown once again.
Aether Star briefly looked at the playbill, sitting among the many other fine equines in the common audience chairs. He may have been an astronomer for the crown itself, but it didn't justify frivolous spending just to get a seat in the higher boxes. Besides, if he were to celebrate Hearths Warming Eve, it was to be with the many other ponies that made up this land.
The playbill itself listed several no-name actors, or at least none that Aether himself recognized. He was sure that there were many that did, for the telling whispers that circled about him in the crowds mentioned and dropped names that, coincidentally, happened to be on the playbill. So he so happened to be sitting near quite a few theater-goers, or perhaps they felt it made good conversation. Nevertheless, Aether hadn't ever been to any of these plays, and celebrated Hearths Warming Eve by himself in his observatory, so in his three month vacation, he made absolutely sure to plan to attend such an event.
After all, Celestia did recommend the Canterlot play very highly in one of her letters, after he sent her some map of some constellation that her scholars were interested in. To say that Aether was expecting something amazing, since the princess herself recommended it, would not be too far off the mark.
Though, perhaps she recommended it for the 10 bits to get in, boosting the Canterlot economy even moreso than it already needed. Clever move, Princess. Clever move. Aether decided, refusing to use his precognition to gain any further insight, or how the play would turn out. Whatever happens, happens, and he was going to enjoy it, moment by moment.
The lights dimmed. The show was going into it's final preparations.
-
Rushing through the eager crowd, Cato arrived at the doorway where several ponies were taking people's tickets. "I dont have time for this...." he muttered. "Royal Equestrian Military! Coming though!" he shouted, as the crowd parted just enough for him to get to the front. The usher eyed him, and recognized his rank band. He looked back up to the waiting Cato.
"Ticket?" The usher asked.
"Im a guest of the royal family. I'm on their list, dammit." he said. "Along with a guest who should arrive soon." he added. "Captain Cato, and Grand Administrator Shattered-Tan."
The usher looked at Cato and the list. "My apologies, Sir. Will the lady be arriving tonight?" the Usher moved aside and asked.
"I hope so...." Cato said and walked inside. He walked down the rows of seat and mouthed each row's letter as he passed it. "L...K...J...I...H...G" He stopped at G-Row and proceeded to sit next to Aether leaving the spot to his left open.
-
The Astronomer only briefly took notice of the commotion, before heading his attention back to the playbill, seeing as looking at a curtain slowly swaying in the wind wasn't exactly his idea of a good way to spend time, and none of the other ponies around him seemed not to be too interested in talking with him. Or anyone for that matter, aside from whoever they brought with them.
I suppose that is a part of Hearths Warming Eve, to spend time with your love and/or close ones. Aether concluded, as if the very holiday was as foreign to him as a changeling offering to give love than to receive it. So what do other ponies do that celebrate this holiday alone? Do they even celebrate? I mean, I lit up a candle just because of the name, but I seriously doubt that's how one does it. I mean, technically, the observatory isn't even part of Equestria considering how far north it is. Should I have even celebrated it? Aether eased into a new line of thinking, cleverly ducking away from the thought of the loneliness.
But it was a newcomer that sat on his left that broke it. The captain that barged in took the seat beside him. For a few moments, he let the silence linger between them, as if refusing to comment on the earlier commotion. It didn't take long for Aether to be bored of his playbill and the talk around them.
"No seats in the upper boxes?" Aether asked the captain, commenting on the fact that normally those of his rank would try to sit above the commoners that walked the Canterlot streets, looking down on even the performers. Or, perhaps, the captain refused to spend anymore bits than he had to. A rather frugal way of spending, but respectable. He concluded his thoughts on the matter.
-
North woke up upon hearing somepony shout out "Royal Equestrian Military!". Wait... A pony...? A... Pony....? She glanced around quickly to find herself in an area that looked NOTHING like her snowy home. No blizzards but snowflakes lightly falling. Ponies everywhere were communicating or heading into some building.
North blinked for a moment, not believing what she saw. Other ponies! She hopped off the cloud and kicked it, making the low-flying puff explode. She landed on the ground and looked about, wandering towards the theatre.
"What is this place...?"She mumbled just before tripping over her own feet. She backed up into ponies behind her and then tried to move forward to get out of the way of the ones she bumped into. "I uh. Oh! sorry! uh... Oops! Sorry sir, I. Oh my! I'm Sor-- Uh..."She mumbled about, moving up one step and moving two more back. She hopped to the side and stumbled over herself, hearing disapproving mumbles.
Eventually, after countless tumbles and trips, North faceplants the light layer of snow after one final fall and finds herself at a large and grand building that seemed to be the one everypony went to. She quickly got up hoping no pony saw her epic fail, but unfortunately was eyed by the guards.
"Ticket?"One asked.
"Ticket...?"She repeated in question. What was a ticket?
-
Why did I even come...?
Towards the back of the crowds to get in, a lone vibrant red pony with a bright florescent pink mane, thought to herself. Her head was kept down staring at her hooves as she walked silently behind everypony in front of her; and she seemed to be taking to the winter weather rather badly as she was bundled up from the beanie that adorned her head to the winter boots upon her hooves, only completed by the fastened cloak about her body. (http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/352/3/7/winteremberwip_by_infitima-d5oe5x5.png) For one who looked like they did not want to draw attention to themselves, had the wrong colors and the wrong attire in such a crowd.
As the pony neared the front of the line of latecomers, she sighed to herself. Normally, she would not come to such stupid social gatherings, preferring to stay home alone in the comfort of her bed where she could ignore everypony-else and not be forced to interact with the outside world. It was for that very reason she chose not to live in Canterlot or Ponyville, but secluded in the outskirts between the both of them where no pony could find her.
However this year was different. There had been a rumor floating around that after the play this year, there would be a special announcement by the Princesses themselves, a groundbreaking announcement that would shock all of Equestria. And even though she was not one for rumors, the pony, Ember Bright, immediately felt her curiosity jump. What could the announcement be? Something bad? Something good? Or simply something blown so out of proportion by the many circulating rumors that in reality would instead turn out to be very dull? Ember did not know, but it was her curiosity of such a thing that had her there.
Lost in her thoughts and her head still down, Ember took no notice of the pony that had fallen before her at the ticket booth until she ran, horn-first, into a giant blue flank.
-
"There were, but i prefer these seats, personally." Cato answered. He looked over to Aether and vaguely recognized his cutie mark. "Say... Have i seen you before around the castle? You're the pony that uh, looks at the....., stars? Right?" He asked Aether.
Meanwhile outside, another pony pushed herself to the front of the line as well, going past both the blue and red ponies. "Excuse me.... coming through." she shouted in a similar way to what Cato had done earlier, but didnt see any point in announcing who she was. When she arrived at the usher, she just stared at him.
"Ticket?" he asked.
"Im on the Princesses' guest list along with my partner." She said.
"Name?" He inquired.
"Grand Administrator Shattered-Tan. " she announced to him. The usher stood aside and let her in after confirming with the picture. "Oh, and where is my partner? Has he arrived yet?" she asked.
"Yes ma'am. He chose to take common seating. Uh.... G-row" he informed her.
After being told this, she became visually annoyed, and sighed. "Damnit, Cato..." she muttered under her breath and walked in.

((Sorry for posting this now))
Name: Night Fire
Age/Gender: Male, around 19
Race: Pegasus, enlarged wings
Cutie Mark: Three flaming arrows pointing downwards
Special Talent: Mastery of Archery: Having been born to a family dedicated to the military, Night was quickly trained into using weapons. He was a natural prodigy at bows however, acquiring his cutie mark shortly after his acquisition of his love of bows.
Appearance: (http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/364/0/d/oc_request___night_fire_by_infitima-d5poazv.png) ((Thanks Hikaru for the awesome picture~))
Personality: Usually a very friendly and silly pegasus, Night is one to love jokes. Always kidding around and making fun of other ponies, if only for giggles as he doesn't really mean it, he's a nice pony. Other than this he's also been called rather feminine, being mistaken for a female on more than one occasion but he doesn't let it bother him at all. In times of extreme stress or worry however, Night becomes very depressed or emotionally detached and usually just ups and sits in a corner, moping or doing certain other things to himself, nothing very pleasant at all, however not many ponies know about this.
Residence: A small cloud home in equal flying distance to Canterlot and Cloudsdale.
Bio: Will do later~
-
"Ugh..." A groan came from the cloud bed as once more, the pegasus inside awoke from a completely non-refreshing sleep to start a new day. The pegasus in question stood up and hopped off the bed, shaking himself awake and causing his long and messy locks to go swinging through the air around his head like a halo. "Another day." He mumbled and wandered off into the kitchen of his tiny home, grabbing a glass and some apple juice before downing it and looking at the calendar.
This pony was Night Fire, a pegasus with enlarged wings and a strange personality and today, he was late for something. "Princesses, I forgot!" He cried out, noticing that the Hearth's Warming Eve Theater show was on. "Time to go." He turned and furrowed his eyebrows. "No time for the door." He whispered, knowing it was already locked and he couldn't remember where the keys were. So he grabbed a brush, ran it through his mane and tail for all the good it would do and leaped out of his open kitchen window.
Instantly he was embraced by the strong winds of high altitude, ruffling his mane and tail and removing any work the brush done. Night dove down for a few dozen meters and then flared his wings out, charcoal black against the sky and overly large, easily twice as large as a pony his size should have. He brought himself around and then shot towards Canterlot like a rocket.
It took quite a while even at full speed to make it to Canterlot but thankfully he was there just in time.
Now, it would've made more sense for Night to slow down on his approach to the theater but sense was never this Pegasus' strong point so, hurtling down at top speed, Night Fire flared out his wings in an air-stop and it worked but it had a secondary effect. This effect being that all the snow and dirt under his landing point was blasted away and coated every pony within around five meters of him. He then daintily touched down and walked up to the Usher, reaching under his wing and pulling out a ticket. "Weserve Twicket." He muttered around a mouthful of paper and the Usher waved him through, taking the ticket off of him.
Night then walked in, unaware of the veritable explosion of snow and dirt behind him and took his place in H row behind two ponies who happened to be speaking, one of whom apparently being a Captain of the REM. He didn't eavesdrop though but it would be difficult to NOT hear the conversation.
-
North shot up, flying head first into a snow cloud yelping out"YOW!" She peeked out of the cloud and saw a brilliantly colored pony bundled up. North glided down and landed next to her"Uh.... Hi....?"she says, embarassed for that little incident.
-
"I'm surprised you even got the subject matter correct, considering I've only actually been in the castle about two times. But yes, I am indeed an astronomer by commission." Aether explained, rather surprised that the captain even knew about his job. The first time he had been there, he had been summoned by just pony politicians, looking for his services in the field; he hadn't seen the princess, unless it was just by glimpse. The second time, however, was Celestia herself asking him to take on the job. Why it was so important, or why she herself felt the need to ask him to take the job when he was probably going to anyways was beyond him. Aether always presumed that it was for the fact that she wanted to wrestle control of the program from the other figureheads, and answer directly to her.
Well, it worked. He sends his results and other data to her personally. Maybe the captain was there when Celestia asked me? That might explain it. Aether figured, but let the subject go. By any means, he was in no way, shape or form, famous, or known. Cato must have simply saw him at either one of those meetings.
"But, enough about that, considering we haven't properly introduced ourselves. I am Aether Star." Aether navigated away from the subject, refusing to spend any more time on it; he was here on vacation, away from work for a while. Thinking about work would not net him the relaxation that he most desperately needed.
-
Thrown back in surprise, Ember could hear the laughter from everypony in what remained of the line behind them as she scrambled to her hooves rather dizzily. For once it was a good thing that her coat was bright red, that way nopony could see just how red in the face she had become from embarrassment at that moment.
After shaking the snow from her mane, Ember glared at the pony before her. Or at least, she would have, had the pony not been so tall that she towered above everypony. Obviously this pony was not from around here. But then again, neither was Ember. "Watch where you decide to stand next time!" Ember shouted, directing the blame at everyother pony besides herself to avoid embarrassment as usual.
-
"Uh.... Yeah, kay... I'll try to keep that in mind kid..."North says, backing away a little from the
short red pony. "Any idea what's goin on?"She asks the red pony, trying to start a small conversation to figure things out here."Or...where I am?"She continues.
-
Ember just looked at her like she was stupid. How could she not know about Hearths Warming Eve or even Canterlot for that matter? Even being the social recluse she was, Ember still managed to catch the daily gossip that went to and from Canterlot from her home in the woods to the left of the great city. But this pony? Where had she been the last decade? Living under a rock?
"Hearths Warming Eve," Ember rolled her eyes. "You know, the play put on every year by the Princesses where we are supposed to reflect on the kindness and love of friendship?" The red pony looked skeptic when saying the last statement, almost as if she didn't believe in any of those things. "And if you don't know that this is Canterlot, then there is no hope for you. But if that's the case, then you won't mind if I take your place in line!"
With that, the red pony opened her wings and glided passed the blue pony to the front of the line, quickly giving her ticket to the guards before there could be any protest.
-
North watched the red pony go and stood there, speechless. "What's her problem? I said I was sorry..."North mumbles under her breath and trots over to a window to watch. A guard asked if she had a ticket and she shook her head"I didn't know there was something going on here."She tell him before he resumed taking tickets.
North stayed next to the window, seeing all sorts of ponies inside and varied decorations all around the walls. A stage and a closed curtain was at the far end of the building. "So... This is a place we call Canterlot?"She asks herself silently.
-
"Somepony stole my ticket!" A cry of shock could be heard in the crowd from behind Northwind as what looked like an upperclass Earth Pony exclaimed in surprise.
Beside him, a light pink filly with a silver tiara upon her mane burst into tears. "My ticket's gone too! Daddy! Find my ticket!"
Ember however, was long gone before this had happened, secretly snickering to herself as she found herself a seat in the back rows away from everypony. By now the poor pony she had pick-pocketed was sure to have noticed. Poor them.
-
North jumped and looked back, seeing a small pink filly crying and whining and her father looking about frantically for the ticket, moving all around and asking other ponies if they had spare tickets. The guard from before pradded North's side with a hoof"I think the one before you had an extra ticket. Are you with her?"He asked. North turned to face the Guard"Uh.. Yeah I guess so." She got up and went inside the building, staying near the back so she wasn't in front of the other ponies and blocking their view. "wow..."she breathed, looking at the decorations. North sat near a window, enjoying the cooler temperature near it since being inside a building was a little too warm for her. She sat down and saw the red pony from before sitting in the back as well.
-
"Captain Cato of Her Royal Majesty's REM." He says. By this time Shattered has floated down into the seat next to Cato, and pecks him no the cheek.
"Hey Cato." Shattered says to him and lays her head on his shoulder after briefly taking a look at the pony next to Cato. "Aether?" she asks finally recognizing who he was. Unlike Cato, she had seen him alot. Being the Royal Grand Administrator, she often traveled to other facilities to monitor work, and evaluate government workers, and contractors. She traveled to the Observatory more often then she probably should, but stars did fascinate her.
"You two know each other?" Cato asked.
-
"Only through work, but yes. She comes around the observatory every so often for evaluation." Aether replied towards Cato, before turning his attention towards Shattered. "And hello Shattered, fancy meeting you as well." He greeted with a wave of his hoof and a recognizing grin. The evaluation visits weren't too much of a hassle at all, despite them happening often. Aether was under the assumption that, because he was working alone, Shattered felt the need to hold the observatory under extra-scrutiny, to avoid it falling into too worse of a shape.
Because, after all, one pony managing an observatory, let alone an Earth Pony? It not only sounds odd, but looks odd too. The many evaluation visits were justified in his eyes, considering the lack of magical help. "I wish I had a schedule for your visits, so I could at least serve you some coffee whenever you swing by, considering how cold it is up north. But I guess that would defeat the purpose of random evaluation checks..." Aether offered, intuitively correcting himself before he would be met with the same remark.
The green galaxy-marked pony turned his attention back to the curtains. "You think they'd have started already, considering how full the seating is." Aether commented, hoping to drum up some sort of conversation aside from work. Though, that might be an impossibility now considering that one pony there, related to him via work, and another related via employer were sitting right beside him. This is going to be... interesting. He chose the word carefully, just imagining all the ways they could discuss work with him, or between one another. Best case scenario, in fact, wouldn't be too far off the mark of 'waiting for the play to start so all conversation can cease.' He wasn't much of a conversationalist to begin with, what with the solitude in the observatory.
((holycrapwehaveourownforumnow.))
-
"You'd think, eh?" Cato replied. "Maybe they're waiting for the Princesses or something... never know." he guessed. He turned his attention back to the stage.
"Maybe..." Shattered said, still laying her head on Cato's shoulder, but now directing her attention tot eh stage as well. She could help but to notice that Cato was a little uneasy about something, probably the impending announcement, which both of them already knew. "Im sure we can wait a little longer... The play isnt going anywhere."
-
Oh would they just hurry it up already? Ember couldn't help but yawn as she paid half attention to the stage, awaiting the play to start. What the hay was taking so long? Actors all die? Everyponies scripts forgotten? Ember yawned again. With nothing left to do, she instead turned her attention to what was around her, listening to the bits and pieces of conversation she could get from other ponies through eavesdropping. So far there was nothing interesting, most, like her were just complaining about the late start. How boring...
Ember had just turned her attention elsewhere when all of a sudden....
The lights flickered back on brightly, having been dimmed for the start of the play before, and from the air dropped a bright pink Alicorn pony onto the stage below. It was Celestia's Niece, Princess Cadence. From what could be seen by everpony, Cadence was a wreck, her mane was unkempt, her wings disheveled, and the black around her eyes made her look as if she hadn't slept for days, very unbecoming of royalty. From beside Princess Cadence, her husband Shining Armor could be seen, there only to support his wife.
"E-everypony! I have a terrible announcement to make." Cadence's voice cracked as she finished started her statement. " "P-princess Celestia, and Princess Luna. They have... v-vanished..." With that, Cadence bowed her head as a gasp could be heard from the audience. "For this, the play has been canceled. I am sorry everypony..."
-
"What!" Shattered shouted. She immediately jumped up in surprise. "They're missing?!?"
"Wait... What?" Cato had the same response as Shattered and the rest of the room. "When?!"
Up on stage, another pony came to Cadence's side. He wore full military dress, and the band around his right leg made his position clear to any soldier, or pony who knew anything about the REM. It was none other than Lord Northfyre Rychart, the Lord General of the Royal Equestrian Military, the effective Commander-in-Chief. "Ladies, and Gentlecolts.... This announcement comes with one just as bad." he started.
"General Rychart too?" Cato asked in an even greater surprise.
"Earlier today, the Combine Allied Forces of the Griffon Empire, and the Diamond Dog Federation attacked the Hayseed swamps area via the Horseshoe bay. In light of this blatant aggression towards Equestria, the government has declared a state of war. Any and all able bodied ponies are highly encouraged to enlist immediately in the Royal Equestrian Military, especially those with special skills needed. All current personal are to report to FOB Ponyville, and report in to their respective commanders in preparation to move out to FOB Dodge." he said, making sure that the radio picked this entire thing up. "I am very sorry, everypony, but we can get through this." He turned the mic back over to Cadence.
-
"I knew I should've stayed home today......"North muttered under her breath. She watched ponies freaking out and rushing out in large groups. North flew up to avoid getting shoved about while the civillians panicked. What war...? Gryphon and Diamond dogs? What are those?, she thought, all sorts of questions bouncing in her head.
-
Aether was speechless. Regardless of what happened around him, the psychic pony stayed motionless, taking in what was said.
"War?" The word forced itself out of him. Everything the word encompassed meant no good was to come of it.
And on top of that, Celestia and Luna were missing? It was a stretch to think, but Aether always considered Celestia a friend, or at least a close acquaintance. Their letters to one another, although was solely for work, he felt something else from them.
It was his precognition talking. A strange warmness emanated from them. Whether it was because Celestia was practically a goddess in pony form, or something else, was beyond him. And she was gone? His three month vacation took a turn much darker turn than he had ever intended. His observatory was lonely, but those letters kept him connected to Equestria, to the outside world.
Now, he really was alone. He thought it was impossible to be more alone than he already was, but it just happened.
-
(OOC: Uhh.. it's been days, skipping Blade due to his authors block, we can go slow so he can catch up.)
War? Out of all the things it could have been, the announcement had been something to do with war?! Ember sighed. Well this entire outing had so far been a waste. It was much too cold to her liking, it was too crowded, the play had been canceled, and now on top of all that the 'oh so special' announcement that had been rumored was about something Ember had entirely no interest in, whatsoever. The red pony grumbled to herself and mumbled, "Can I go home now?"
"Please do not panic everypoy!" Cadence had to speak up to be heard over the large and now very frightened crowd. "Until this threat is over, the Castle will be open to all who need or desire protection and shelter. I solely believe this is what Princess Celestia and Princess Luna would have wanted."

It took a few moments for all of the information to sink into Night's head. He had been expecting a good show and to thoroughly enjoy himself this night and instead he got hit with this. The first emotion to go through the pegasus's mind after confusion was anger, cold, shaking anger. "BUCK THAT!" He cried out, shocking himself with the outburst but at the moment anger was at the forefront of his mind and he cared for little else.
Black wings flaring, Night Fire hopped up onto the backs of the seats and started to walk over them towards Rychart and Cadence, visibly shaking with anger as he done so. Now, most would think that his rage was unfounded but it wasn't, he'd always looked up to the Princesses since he was born in Canterlot. Celestia was his role-model, the absolute personification of calm and something that Night himself tried to live up to. As was obvious, he wasn't quite near that yet but it was only because he'd learned that something had happened to a person he classed as a damned Goddess.
The Pegasus hopped up onto the stage in front of Cadence and glared at her but it was obvious that his anger was not directed towards anyone on the stage, it seemed he was actually angry with himself. "Celestia and Luna are gone, you say?" His voice was cold, holding the promise of held-back belligerence. "Where do I bucking sign up, ma'am?" He whispered to Cadence, still standing before her with his wings flared upwards behind him.

"I'm... going to go home." Aether murmured to himself, caring not for whatever pony may be listening to him. Back to that cold, lonely observatory that he had grown to tolerate, just for his job. Fighting.. was not his strong suit, at all.
Which then another fear loomed over him. The draft. He knew that ponykind weren't fighters at heart, even with their beloved princess in jeopardy. Eventually, the army will start drafting. That much was certain. And if the war gets as bad as he feared, he will be swept up in it too. Wouldn't it be better to just save time and sign up now? Though, I sorta live near the crystal empire... I wonder if I could flee there. Would they get caught up in the war too? Cadence is here, so perhaps she already is.
Aether mulled over the topic to himself, before beginning to silently slip out from the crowd as unnoticeable as possible.
It was about two minutes before he was out of the crowd, and another two minutes to be out of sight, in an alleyway. "I need to know." Aether told himself, and closed his eyes. And upon closing them, an outline of another eye, floating, curved around both ends of his forehead with a hazy mist backing it between it and his forehead. The third eye, the source of all of Aether's abilities. This time, it was his precognition that he was calling into use, to see if he'd be drafted, and to see all available paths to him.
It didn't take long to get the answer. Thousands of visions flooded his mind, each of them worse than the last. Death, blood, suffering, anguish, anger, sorrow, bloodlust, greed. The feelings and imagery hit his mind full force, with no signs of stopping until he forced it, cutting himself off from the universe.
He caught himself breathing heavily after the short ordeal. The thoughts, the general feeling of this war from around the war polluted him and his ability. "I'll... huff... take that as a yes." Aether told himself in response to his earlier question.
He was to be drafted. And these were the things he was to see.

"For anyone wishing to sign you and enlist in the Royal Equestrian Military, there will be recruiting booths set up in your towns." Rychart informs people.
Cato sat where he was silently, as Shattered held onto is arm. "Cato. We need to go." Shattered said. "They're going to make you report to FOB Ponyville tomorrow..."
"I know..." he said to her and lowered his head. "I've already given half of my body to shadowy wars that no one has ever heard of, and it was fine back then when i didnt have much to live for, or anyone to leave behind. Im not afraid of dying, Shattered... Im afraid of leaving you." he told her and turned to look at her.
"Cato, they need someone like you on the front lines." she releases her arm only to hug him. "And we can, and will make this night last." she said. After releasing him, she looked around. Aether was gone, as well as many ponies for that matter. "I think its time to leave here..."

I really don't like the sound of this... what'd they call it? War? Why is there war? These questions flooded into North's mind as she stayed up near the ceiling, watching regular civilians screaming, questioning, mumbling, even running about in panic. She snapped out of thought when she saw a charcoal colored pegasus shouting and heading up the stage. She watched him curiously. Signing up...? she thought quietly. What is war like...? Do I really want to join this... whatever it is to see what it is? she continued to think. War sounded like a dreadful word.
North landed in a small area nopony was in and walked alongside the building up to the side of the stage. "Um... Excuse me... but what is this war about....? And what is a war...?"She asked in a really small voice.

Before Cadence could answer Night Fire, she and her husband Shining Armor mysteriously vanished...

(I think we can call this topic a wrap. Assume the normal.)
