Nisorin didn't retire, he got de-adminned and QUIT. Not left in a noble sense of retirement like handing down the board or something to be honored. QUIT as in left as a quitter. I would say that'd be Removed staff. Not 'honored' as retired staff.
-
I find to much respect for Nis to agree with that decision. Let him be honored. Stop complaining.
-
Retired merely means he is no longer staff. This is not the place to have this conversation anyway. And he's been in that group for some time now.
-
No, you keep putting him in the group. I keep taking him out. He's a quitter not a retiree.

Does it really matter? He's retired either way, quitting is a form of retirement. End of story.
-
Stop trying to incite an argument. Just let it be.
-
It's only natural for her to try and incite an argument over this, since she was the reason that I decided to retire as staff.

Adjective:
Having left one's job and ceased to work.

It's stupid for former staff to even get a damn group. When they're no longer staff they're members, the end. Putting them in a group honors them. And if they QUIT they should not be honored. The only one that really fits the honoring is Gaser, as he was forecefully retired. Nisorin? Nothing special.
-
Personally I'd want to be honored even if I quit staff. I'm sure you would too.
-
Quitters don't get to be honored.
-
That's absurd, of course they do.
-
And why should they? He didn't leave in some honoring ceremony or quit because of circumstances. He quit because he got de-adminned. GOT DE-ADMINNED. That is not something to be honored for.
-
No. His accomplishments that he made as staff deserve to be honored, rather you agree with Nisorin's actions or not, or rather you like him or not. Anyone who's served this board deserves to be honored.
-
Honor is a thing earned. He had no accomplishments and quit when he was needed. THEN tried to get all the members to do the same. That's not honor that's trying to throw a revolt.
We don't honor Hitler.
-
He's the one who started SP back up and did most the planning after a year hiatus. He's the one who was sane and reasonable and kept staff functioning. He's the one who helped pay for this site, who kept it running even though everyone hated him for it. What did he get? Nothing. Nothing but pain and ungratefulness. If I were him I would have quit too. He shouldn't have to put up with this bullshit. He's done just as much as you and I have.
-
Yeah, no.
-
Your personal dislike for him is not grounds for you to throw order out the window.
-
It's not personal dislike and I don't appreciate you accusing it as such.
He has done nothing to get honored.
-
Besides, y'know, helping pay for the site, getting it off the ground after a year of downtime, and leading it, being the sense of reason. That kind of thing. And what have you done that's so worthy that he hasn't?
-
Guys. It's pointless to fight over something like this. I retired because my advice was going absolutely nowhere. No one took it, very few even considered it, and because of the railroading habits of a particular staff member I was unable to get anything done. Why should someone be a member of staff if they are rendered incapable of getting anything done because of another staff member?
-
If a politician does dozens of amazing good things for his people, and ends with one bad thing, they will only remember the bad thing. Let's not be like this and actually remember Nis for the good he's done and not that he quit.
-
Hikaru. no matter what you may tell us, we all know that you're being biased. Nisorin fits the exact description of being retired. Quitting can also be synonymous with retiring as well. You're outvoted.
-
Again. Why do we even need a retired staff group? It's stupid. Other forums don't do it.
-
The very same reason why we pay our politicians a 6-figure salary for life. He helped out the board during his time on staff, and he deserves to be recognized for said accomplishments.
Also, we arent like other boards. We're unique, unless you want to conform to the others and be normal like the rest of them. :P
-
Again, it's stupid and just wastes space making a useless membergroup. Members is a needed group, Staff is a needed group to separate mods and admins of powers. Retired staff? It's a label not a group. There's no specialness to it whatsoever.
Edit: Nevermind, K2 had it to where they could still see staff chat. Hell no.
-
Once again, you're outvoted.
-
Once again, you're outvoted.
For removing the ability to see the staff forum from the group? Hence "Hell no." no I'm not. That's a security risk and there should be no vote to it.
-
Are we still fighting over this? Just lock the damn topic and be done with it. Squabbling over something so petty is not very becoming of members of the Shattered Planes.

Regardless of topic lock, admins and mods can still post in here.

Hikaru, you're just being difficult. Everyone including you, knows what Nisorin has done. You're just not letting things be. If everyone here agrees that Nisorin should be in retired staff, you don't really have the right for taking him out. If he quit because of you, and you're making a big deal about it, you're just being stupid about this. I don't care what you say, but everyone else here seems to have noticed everything he's done. You just want to push him down.
Retired staff is a special group no matter what you say. You may see nothing, but everyone else sees it's quite clear that retired staff shows respect and honor to the member. It gives a sense of pride. Now just back down instead of trying to argue. I don't care if you decide to explode on me about my lack of knowledge in this story or is you decide to try to slam on my art(which you have done before when i pissed you off.)

The only one that really fits the honoring is Gaser, as he was forcefully retired. Nisorin? Nothing special.
Last time I checked Gaserlake choose to keep his name on the restraining order. That in my opinion was his choice, thus he quit as well. I don't see why this has to turn into a big argument.
Think about it this way Nisorin got tired of working with you and quit. Okay I see your point, but if you don't want to honor him then you sure as hell shouldn't be saying we should honor Gaserlake.
Gaserlake brought his family problems to us, okay sure we were all willing too help. We fought for him for a year or so. Then at 18 he turns around and keeps his name on the restraining order. Thus in the end pretty much formally quitting himself. Gaserlake is a quitter as well. If we don't honor Nisorin who at least stayed then we sure as hell aren't honoring Gaserlake who pretty much stabbed us in the back and told us to fuck off.
I think at the end of that note it settles it. The staff. All of them but Jeebus states that he should be in the group so we'll leave him with the group. End of problem. Now can we move on to more important issues?
