Title: The Ritual : Form of Divinity
Post by: Zero on April 04, 2010, 07:07:13 PM
Knowing as he did that the gauntlets would have to be reformed Zane had teleported to this particular world for just that purpose. He took out the metal of the Divine Gauntlet otherwise known as the Thunder Claw and prepared to reforge the gauntlet back into existence and use the energy from this world to allow it to exist once more.

Holding out his hands he began a chant. "Se Aris Ator Pos!"  Yellow light flashed and the thunder gauntlet was almost finished. He just needed to load a thunder animite into each claw of it.

As soon as he came to the continent, he was found by a group of Elemental Divine. "Halt! Who are you?"

"My name doesn't concern you. "  He concentrated and a barrier surrounded him protecting him from any of their attacks. "Once I finish forming this gauntlet I can move onto the next location. "

"It concerns us that you are upon our land without our permission, trespasser. You would do well to stop whatever it is you are doing before we are forced to have you arrested!" The man said, with one of his companions going to get a member of the guard.

Momentarily lowering the barrier he concentrated and the materials needed to make the thunder gauntlets were destroyed instantly. "Very well.. You just ruined the last chance of me handling the evil that I fought when I was young and that has returned. "

"Get off our land." The Divine said, using his summoning magic to create a angelic warrior from his shadow, which was moving with a life of its own. The angel(or at least, it looked like one), having come from the Divine's shadow, went in front of its master, awaiting commands.

"Planetary magic was used to create each of the gauntlets for fighting a great darkness. I have come here to gather the magic required for the Divine Claw Gauntlet. " He smiled. "My name is Zane."

The Elemental looked at his friend, now puzzled. "What do you have against the Elemental Darkness? They're a peaceful enough people..."

"Not the elemental darkness." Zane removed a tome and threw it to the warrior. "Page 7 : Reveal!" The book opened magically and a picture of dark shadowy beasts was on the page.

The book magically shifted pages to one revealing the elemental gauntlets.

"This is what I am trying to re-form. "

"...Thats not Divine...At least, I dont think it is..." The Elemental said, looking at it. "Our magic brings forth angels and demons to do our fighting. I dont see how a gauntlet can be of our magics..."

Thinking on what had been said by the Elemental Zane held out his palm and the gauntlet began to reform.  "Alright. Perhaps the magic he used was of a different kind but I don't know where else one could get the required energy nor did I have time to search every galaxy. "

"Well, dont you think it would've been much more polite to have merely asked us for help first?"

Zane was struck. No one had ever rebuked him before when he applied the direct approach to get things done. Frowning with a scowl on his face he said "Alright. Will you help me get the gauntlet that I suspect was made by ancients of your world for my dad?"

Zane saw the crystal he wore partially turn black. "Oh crud. Listen if there is any way you can get me to the city fast...."  He seemed very nervous.

"Straight that way, you cant miss it." The Elemental said, pointing a finger in a direction.

Removing a tome from his pocket Zane cast a spell that would make the wind blow behind him aiding him as he would run. He also cast a spell to take away any obstacles that possibly could slow him down. He ran forward towards that location as fast as he could.

A city came up on the horizon...Wait, no, it was a castle, wasn't it? And...was that a ledge?
Yes, there was a cliff between him and the castle, and a rope bridge linking them. In a mountainous continent, thats kinda obvious that there would be such things.

When he reached the rope bridge he uttered a chant and the bridge became made out of stone instantly. Now trusting that it wouldn't fall beneath his weight he walked across it calmly. Once on the other side he used the air behind him again and started running using the spells he had moments earlier deactivated.

He arrived at the city.

He found himself at a castle. And on this castle, there was a door. And this door, you see, it was closed, a truly massive thing. And unfortunately for Zane, it seemed the guard on door-duty today was Zeltic. Zeltic, you see, was a known trickster, at least known by the people of this castle. And he loved nothing more than to waste people's time with his pranks. No one knew why he was still a guard, but he was, and was 'guarding' the only way in the city with his own efficiency. And so, the giant of a door, it was not open.

Holding out his hand Zane unleashed a blast of wind that caused the door to open up. Zane saw the guard. "Next time don't lock the door. " His fists were crackling with electricity. He walked into the 'castle' impatiently.

Nothing happened, for the door didn't open inwardly. At the top of the wall, in the room where the door was opened, Zeltic laughted. Even if that worked, though, he'd have had to arrest the guy; there was a reason why the place had walls a giant, hardly moveable doors, and it wasn't just for the effect.
OOC:Wanna play it fer kicks about how he cant get the door open? XD I know its just mean to Zane, but it is pretty funny.

Zane looked up, saw the guard and put on a scowl. He flew up to the guy and using a telepathic spell asked him to open the door and told him about the gauntlets, showed him the tome and waited.

((He couldn't just have used his actual voice? He had to use telepathy, when he's right in front of the guy?))

The door ostenably persisted in its closedness(Obscure Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy series references FTW). Meanwhile, the guard continued laughing and then threw a pebble at the guy...From the top of a about ten story wall.
OOC:The Guards on top of the wall. Wasn't Zane at the bottom?

((Zane doesn't know the language here))

Zane upon getting hit with the pebble uttered a curse word. He decided to use an X-Ray spell so that he simply could see through the door and merely teleport around this obstacle and the fool of a guard who had just assaulted him. Activating the spell he took a good look at the city for a moment and then he snapped his fingers. Vanishing in a bright flash of light he was on the other side of the door now away from the guard.

"My name is Zane." said Zane. "The guards across the now stone bridge told me to come here to get help reforging the gauntlets." He looked nervous. The jewel he was wearing had darkened even more. The evil was getting stronger which means he had less time than he needed to form the gauntlets completely.

Reaching into the mind of the person Zane extracted the location and then teleported to that location directly.

He found himself at what appeared to be more of a hut, with a straw roof...and a chimney, which had smoke billowing out of it. It appeared that the entire place was covered in shadow...But shadowed by what?
Title: Re: The Ritual : Form of Divinity
Post by: Zero on April 05, 2010, 01:56:58 PM
When he saw the hut Zane thought that the witch doctor might be crazy. However crazy or not Zane needed the ability to use the gauntlets before the crystal went totally dark on him meaning that the evil would be up to full strength once again.
Title: Re: The Ritual : Form of Divinity
Post by: @Pokemon Master Red on April 05, 2010, 02:02:19 PM
As he approached, he could see that the shadow itself was twitching...Much like the shadow of that first Elemental, and every other Divine he'd encountered so far. And from within the hut came a voice, even though the inhabitant shouldn't have seen the man coming towards the house. "Who dares approach my residence? Ah, whoever you are, I dont care, just so long as ya got some fish! Im starved!"
Title: Re: The Ritual : Form of Divinity
Post by: Zero on April 05, 2010, 02:36:06 PM
Zane materialized a spear with 10 fish on it. He walked to where the voice was coming from holding out the spear.  "Here is your fish. You are going to help me making enchanted gauntlets."
Title: Re: The Ritual : Form of Divinity
Post by: @Pokemon Master Red on April 05, 2010, 03:06:41 PM
The inside of the hut looked like the study of a alchemist, except for the shadows all around the place...Even though there were lanterns. The shadows seemed to be carved into by the light, but nonetheless the streaks of shadow that lined the walls was there, and moving...And the emanated from a figure. "Ah, thank you for the fish." He said, taking the spear, and tearing one of the fish off and taking a bite out of it. "Hm...summoned fish. You might do with a little practice, its good, but still easy to tell its a imitation. If ya really wanna fool someone, try having a bit of salt water on 'em as if they were freshly caught; gets 'em every time! At the very least, it takes them a while to figure out its not real, since the salt water tends to cover up the difference in flavor."
The figure himself looked like a magician of sorts, wearing robes befitting a magician, with the exception being that his robes had alchemical circles adorning them. If one looked closer at the shadows on the walls, they would have found that they also made alchemical circles , though these were changing rapidly.
"So...Enchanted Gauntlets, huh? Been a while since I've been asked for help concerning a enchantment. Very tricky for us Elementals, you see, since our magics are so specialized! But, I can try to help you with what you need. Show me the stuff."

Zane handed a tome to the guy.  "Read page 7. You will see indeed why I need the gauntlets. "

He laid out the metal for the divine lightning gauntlet.  "This lightning claw was forged on this world by my father.  It is the part of the set."

"Hm...Interesting. A set of Gauntlets enchanted by the very force of the Elements themselves. This...This is some strong magic. Tricky to make, and I've only the power to help with one of them..." He said, snatching the book and reading through it. "Hm...Tell me, are you the son of a man named Justin Valatako?" He asked, after reading through it for a few minutes.

"Yes and the great evil he used the gauntlets to defeat is returning once again. This time though my father isn't here with his cosmic sword to slice it up that was lost years ago. I only hope the gauntlets wield enough power to stop them. " said Zane.

He showed the darkening crystal to the witch doctor. "This marks when the evil is at full power. "

"Hm...I see. Then we're running out of time. We need to move." The Witch Doctor said, gathering his materials. His shadow seemed to be in a state of disarray, moving every which way as if distressed. "Come on, grab something. That crystal is a meter of that...thing's power, correct? We dont have a lot of time."

Knowing that there was little time for the gauntlets to be forged Zane held out his palm and the remains of his first attempt on this world to form the gauntlet appeared. "Well, this item might be a good start for us to work on. I did some of the work before I was interfered with."

"Lousy kids..." The Elemental muttered, then snatching the Gauntlet Fragments and throwing them into the pile of stuff he was going to take. "Yeah, they're WHY we need to move. You dont have the time to go through several different rituals all spread out. We'll need to get the others, and convince them to help with the enchantment process all at once. Also, you wont need someone else to enchant it, cause thats my job. Lets get moving already."

"Well there is only one thing I need to take." He gestured to the medallion his father had left here that would protect him from the dark creatures temporarily and levitated it to himself after duplicating it. He tossed one to the Witch Doctor and put the other one on himself. "My father was paranoid and so made many protections into these medallions. Should keep us safe from the dark creatures. " He opened a portal. "No time to get to a gate so allow me to compensate!"  "This will take us to the leaders of this planet."

"Those political idiots? Nevermind them, they'll just try to drag us down in a sea of red tape." The Divine said, leaving his house. As he left, his shadow went with him, and went in front of him in a way that made it look like there was a light to his back, being how long it was. "Come forth, Eclipse." The shadow then literally came up from the ground, and from a amorphous black blob, it morphed into a massive black dragon, which was so large it was as tall as the wall itself with lines of blue and brown all along it. As he'd said the words, the other Divine had run in terror, knowing what would happen. "Come, we shall use this Demon Dragon as a means of transport. This dragon, who's wings eclipse the sun across the lands, shall be our escort to the other elders. Its been some time since I've used such magics, though...Forgive me if I doze off a bit while you talk with the others."

As he saw the 'demon' dragon rise out of the ground Zane jumped onto the dragon. He calmly held out his fist and said to the witch doctor "Do you mind making the enchantments last a million years this time?"

"I really would hate to have to send my son if the evil was able to return to reforge the gauntlets yet again! This process is annoying. "

"Kid, once your done with them for now, then we'll talk about making it longer lasting. We'll have plenty of time after you've battled this great evil. So, where first?" The Divine said, climbing on the dragon.

"First we must go to the light area and use the light magic there to reform the light gauntlet first. Then we must go and have the rest reformed. "  said Zane. He was ready to use his sword. Suddenly a black blast of lightning came at the dragon.
Zane "Damn! And I thought the crystal was right. We have even less time. " As the blast came he quickly formed a protective aura around them.  "You choose where we go first. I have to concentrate on the shield."

Black orbs of energy came at them.  A black wolf like creature was on the ground.

"Apparently it doesn't want us reforming the gauntlets."  He pointed his fist out and shot a white beam at the orbs eradicating them from existence. "Let us do it now."

"Alright, but hang on! We're headed for Wind first, since thats the best place to lose these beasties. Just try not to fall once we get there...The winds are kinda strong!"

Holding onto the dragon  with one hand he dissolved the barrier and made a swirling circle of blue fire with one finger which descended burning the wolf creature to ashes. "I am quite sick of those things!"

"Once we get to the wind, we must have them also enchant the Windcutter Scythe for their own use again. It will be nessecarry in case I fail to defeat that evil. I know some of my abilities aren't as good as the ones my dad used but at least I could possibly stand a chance. "

(Yep. You make it though)

"Alright. I trust you. You knew my father.  What was the name of the guy who summoned those dark creatures?" Zane really didn't know whom he would have to kill with his powers and gauntlets once they were reforged.
