Title: My dear Director....
Post by: Admiral Regis Hermitage on October 24, 2013, 04:32:01 AM
Office of the Director of the Zarethian Hand, Sora Wing
Heart of the Council, Capital City, Planet Teffilin
1000 hrs, Capital District Time

It had been a long few days since the conflict ended, but things started to settle down. The planet was being rebuilt, and ships were being sent out to find new colonies just like the old days. The Hand was back at work doing what they did best, and things seemed to return to business as usual for the most part. The government was of course being reorganized for several reasons; mainly because of the mass corruption within the council by the figure Andrew Ryan and his shadow group.

Regis sat in his office resting his head on his desk, his eyes weary. He store at the chain of command board which was withing his office outlining the top Hand officials down to the ELECINT Officer and Special Branch. Many of the people pictured on the board weren't living anymore, perishing in the Revenge conflict as it was now being called by Councilman Hamilton and the Board of regents set up to temporarily run the government. He could really only focus on one picture though. One who had been the first victim of the conflict. The one he had the chance to save, but couldn't. He simply refused to remove the picture and replace her with anyone else.

He didnt really know why he was staring, but felt he should deep inside of himself. He focused on the nameplate below it reading "Amy Jacobs - Assistant Director of the Zarethian Hand". Her confident, smiling face against the background of the 2 flags behind. Her blue blouse with white button up shirt. Her blonde hair... He felt himself drifting away as her moved onto her eyes. Those eyes... They reminded him. He suddenly felt more tired than before and dozed off into a peaceful slumber.

POP!

A flash of light went off as Hermitage jerked himself awake and drew his sidearm . He could see the floor bubbling with a black liquid, and knew immediately what was coming next. "Oh please no..." he said to himself in annoyance.

A figure materialized in front of him from the liquid and shouted, "REGIS!!!!!" Next thing he knew, standing in front of him was none other than Insana Primoris, well one variation of him.

"You're not supposed to be here." Hermitage said and slammed on his desk.

"Im everywhere my dear Director." Insana replied and gave a huge grin like a child who hadnt seen his best friend in a while.

"What do you want Insana." Hermitage asked immediately. "I dont see you for months, and you show up out of the blue?"

"Well if you ever visited me we wouldnt have this problem. We need to communicate more honey... for the children." Insana said in an over dramatic tone. "By the way, there are 27 missing children in this city as of 5 minutes ago... I wouldnt look into it."

"Did you eat them?" Hermitage inquired.

"I ate them, yes." Insana replied back without a hint of guilt.

Hermitage immediately face-palmed. "Insana I cant have you causing us problem today. Not here. Not now." he scolded the embodiment.

"Oh, but I've been wondering what you've been up to, Regis." Insana said.

"Fighting a war... And I take it you've been committing unspeakable acts of horror?" he sarcastically asked.

"I cant talk about it, but I've been enjoying the company of the Queen of the Multi-verse. She is quite the star student." he said. "Tera is fine as well, she's been asking about you, so I cant only guess you and her had a great time last year during the gathering." Insana explained.

Hermitage sighed. He knew this conversation was pointless seeing as Insana made it a point to know everything about the Demented anyway. "Why are you really here?" he asked.

"I have something you want little Hermy." Insana said and turned his back to Regis, now focusing on the CoC Board.

"Oh? And what is that?" Hermitage replied, not seeming amused by this situation.

"Amy of course. Your focus on her hasnt been a coincidence Admiral. I know where she is, and I can get her for you." Insana said.

"Jacobs is dead Insana. She is in North, and I dont expect to die anytime soon. Stop wasting my time." Hermitage shouted as he became angrier.

"Is she now? What a rational explanation. Stop doing that. I know where she is, and she isnt in North." Insana turned around and shouted back at him. "Simply do me one little favor, and she is yours for the rest of eternity. I will bring you to her, and you will live happily ever after... Sound like a deal?"

"No. I dont believe in fairytails Insana, and I am not amused!" Hermitage stood up from his chair.

"Fine, but I assure you that you can see her again. I just need a little task completed." Insana explained.

"There is always a catch. Whats the simple task?" Hermitage asked. Insana didnt understand the concept of simple tasks and favors.

"You are the commander of the military, yes? You are helping with the reconstruction effort if im not mistaken. I simply need you to tweak these plans in my favor. Simply throwing the empire back into chaos and driving the people insane is all I ask." Insana told the task.

"No." Hermitage said immediately.

"Aw come on.... It'll be fun!" Insana exclaimed.

Hermitage paused and started to contemplate the deal. One side told him it was wrong, but the other told him it was worth it. He took a deep breath in. "Get me Jacobs first... Then i'll give you my answer. Now go!" Hermitage ordered.

"Fair enough. One blonde beauty coming up in a jiffy. Erh, um, I'll be back." Insana said and melted back into the floor disappearing from the room. Hermitage leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes again... Sometimes Insana was too much to deal with.
