Tefillin / Re: Hunting Insanity
« on: October 29, 2013, 01:31:43 PM »
A soft chuckle came from the Dragon Sage then as he fell into step with the Lord of Insanity and walked alongside him. "The Chain of Exodus is far from a weapon, it is more of a... Vessel." He gave no details after that though, there was no need to go into such details.

The weapon didn't phase him either, even as much as it shouted and thought itself powerful. Sirius didn't know its strength but he doubted it was enough to warrant fear from him, very little every got fear from Sirius. "So tell me, Insana, what have we to speak about considering you are taking me for a walk?" Sirius asked upon touching down on the street with the Embodiment, locking his arms behind his back at the same time.

Despite the rather flashy entrance, Sirius done not a thing apart from cross his arms over his chest and cock his head to the side. His blonde hair fluttered down the side of his face and he waited until the Lord of Insanity was quite done before speaking himself.

"My name is Sirius Blade, the Keeper of Exodus and Dragon Sage." He told simply, giving a nod towards the bronzen chain that was wrapped around his left arm, dug in with the wounds still bleeding fresh. "I was told by Fear to check up on you and the proper you, not a vessel. Perhaps I could gain access to your world and meet with you in person? It has been a long while since I have conversed with someone quite as old as myself, the Phoenix Sages don't quite count with their Rebirth," Sirius gave a quiet chuckle and then waited for Insana's response.

...Behind you Sirius...

That itching, clawing voice told him straight into his skull, but Sirius already knew that. With a graceful movement, he flicked himself to his feet and spun around to face whatever was casting the voice.

"Fear's and Wisdom's, aye." He growled, not in anger but it was his more primal instincts creeping into his voice, giving it a more guttural, dark tone than he would like, but it helped on occasion. "You are a vessel of Insana?" He called out, whether or not the voice would actually be behind him, tricks were always played by those with power.

Tefillin / Hunting Insanity

The mortal realm had changed since Blade had first came here, several thousand years ago. That was to be expected though considering the time frame. Now Blade would not usually ever go here, interacting with the mortal domain made life difficult for Sirius due to the fact he would more than likely have to cull this population to bring 'peace' to this realm. That caused a chuckle to come from him, bringing peace through violence, what an ironic statement but it worked, oddly.

None of that truly mattered though as Blade was here for a reason; to find Insana. Sirius's 'Father' gave him warnings about the embodiments and some in particular, Insanity was one of the ones to be watched considering how... unstable he was and the damage he could do if he didn't follow the laws of the Embodiments. So here Blade was, on the surface of this planet called 'Tefillin' in the local tongue, and currently he was sitting on a rooftop. His topaz coloured eyes were watching the ground, letting not his sensory organs but his magic hunt down his target.

You are... tiresome, Sirius... It is bothersome...

The voice crawled into Blade's mind, causing his eye to twitch and his mouth to cringe however he ignored the voice, the voice of Exodus and instead focused his magic around, tracking the specific signature of Insana, one he knew would be unlike any other in this damned place, you didn't get many embodiments in the mortal realm.

"Hai, I'm Chaos!"

It had been quite an interesting past hour or so, for Chaos at least. The horseman imagined that his friend over the next rise wasn't quite having as much fun as he was, oh well.

Silver, no blue, no green, no yellow eyes scanned up over the sandy hill. Chaos could feel the coarse grains sliding between his fingertips, chafing off of them as he stared just over the edge towards the dust ball hovering in the sky. 'Needs more colour' The Horseman thought to himself as he watched the orb with apparent interest.

Then it was gone and he was staring at the person under it, his orange eyes focusing upon him. "Strange little man." The whisper slid out of his mouth like grit, rough and scratchy. "He must be upset, fun~" A smile split Chaos's face, his eyes widening with sheer glee as he realised the prospect, exactly what this entailed and what it entailed was his last word. FUN!

Maybe he could sneak past though, scare the man and catch him off guard with a stealth attack to bring him down. It seemed like a good plan so Chaos hid behind the dune and started to sidle across it, his feet threatening to fall away from him, sinking into the softness beneath him as he moved across it. There were no handholds, nothing but the sand surrounding him, running between his fingers like water and escaping him, slithering down the side of the rise like so many insects. Chaos knew it would take a while to get past his foe of course, knew it would not be easy to sneak...

...The Horseman's face smacked into the sand, sending a cloud of upwards and revealing his position. Sitting up and spitting clods of sand out of his mouth Chaos realised that the remains of rock left here was NOT tasty in the slightest but then again as much as he wanted to know what they tasted... He stood up. "Whoopsies, I fell over." He spoke in that gritty voice of his and laughed loudly, clutching his sides as though there wasn't a maniac just over the hill who wanted to murder him. Gods Chaos was a retard.

Category: Most Impressive Tech Creator
Nominee: Nisorin
(Optional) Additional Comments: I have to say Nis because his tech is just so well thought out and written. Besides that, the tech itself is also original and just awesome.

Category: Most Developed Culture
Nominee: Zarethian

Category: Weakest Faction
Nominee: Narrikians (Hawk's side at least)
(Optional) Additional Comments: I'm sorry to nominate the Narrikians for this but they have simply lost the most territories and the most battles. In fact, I don't think they've actually won any on their own in the time that I've been around. So yeah, Narrikians for simply having the worst Win to Loss ratio.

Category: Strongest Faction
Nominee: Mechera
(Optional) Additional Comments: I was tempted to pick the Zarethians with the three titans and such but the Mechera just trumps them, I think. Their tech is just awesome and Hiro certainly knows how to use the bastards.

Category: Most Likeable Member
Nominee: Hiro
(Optional) Additional Comments: Hiro is just awesome, since I first met him coming on this site he's been nothing but friendly to everyone. I haven't seen him rage or get upset, he just gets on with it and he just can't be hated.

Such a simple place, such simple people. Going about their lives, not worried about anything and yet all of them had some measure of fear in their hearts.

There, a person who feared getting home late because he had been having relationship troubles and his wife might divorce him at any second. His kids were also at home, and he worried for them in case they ended up hurt for whatever reason.

There, someone who feared for his own life. Two assassination attempts already for unknown purposes when all it was that he held the key to making a very strong drug that might prove quite... favourable for other people to get a hold of.

All of this was so obvious to one specific being. One being who knew so much about fear that one could say that he ruled the emotion. As a matter of fact, this specific being did rule the emotion for he didn't just know fear, he was Fear. Today though, he wasn't here for anything relating to that emotion. Fear was here for a different reason; meeting with another of his ilk.

So, Fear came to the surface of this planet, so full of his love, in order to meet with his ally. Fear however was not easily noticed either but for a completely different reason to the male going after Lucien. Fear you see could have made himself like one of these... Zarethians.... But he much preferred his natural form and so he stuck to the shadows, hidden by how he looked as he moved through the streets towards his meeting point.

Strangely, wherever Fear tread, no one else went that way, everyone shying from the street and clearing it out. It was only once the street was fully clear that Fear revealed himself to his ally.

All at once, around the man standing outside Lucien's place of living, a black smoke formed on the ground under him. It gradually thickened, turning into a form of liquid and coiled up the Zarethian's leg, climbing up his body until it rested a pair of clawed hands on his shoulders and its head was directly beside the Man's ear, so Fear could murmur into it.

"Well hello there.... Knowledge~ It hassss been a while sssince we lasst sssspoke, hm? Why do you require me for thisss.... Tassssk~?" The being's voice was silky and sweet, honey dripping into the Zarethian's ear.

Right, I'll pick on the suit first as it annoys me in many regards.

  • How does the suit take energy from Non-sentient plants and animals? Why can't it take energy from sentient plants or animals, what's stopping it?
  • The drained energy, in what regards does it make his armour better? Does it make it tougher, faster, what?
  • How fast can he fly with these jetboots, how long can he fly for? What sort of propulsion works these jetboots? Is it actual jets or energy thrusters?
  • How does the suit allow him to survive for a year? I know about recycling carbon dioxide into oxygen but what about food and water? They can't just be created out of nowhere?
  • The Matter Phasing? Complete godmod, it allows for the avoiding of any attack coming towards him. Either give it a limit, a cooldown or remove it because that is simply overpowered.
I think I'm done for that apart from one last question. How do the guns return to his hands? Magnets, energy tethers, what?

Accepted Characters / Kiri'g'chinok
« on: April 09, 2013, 10:16:45 PM »
Race Name: Kiri'g'Chinok Also known as Cloudians to the unenlightened beings. ((Kee-ree-guh-chee-noke))
Physical Appearance: The Cloudians are a rather odd looking race, to anyone humans or similar that look upon them they appear like a cloud floating around seven feet off of the ground. These clouds can range anywhere from three feet in diameter to twelve feet in diameter. They can also be of many shapes, like discs or triangles or even just flat circles or squares. Their colours are either black, orange, purple or white but it depends on the time of day that they were created. Many Kiri'g'chinok glow with an inner light, this shows their emotion.
Abilities, Traits:

Physical Emotion: The Kiri'g'Chinok have the strangest ability to manifest their emotions to do a variety of different things. First of all, it allows non-enlightened races to perceive how the Cloudian is feeling at that point in time. This can also be used for many ways of self-defense. The manifestations are never the same from one Cloudian to another but they are all rather obvious. (Like Thunder or lightning for anger and sunshine for happiness, so on and so forth.)

Ethereal Body: As the Cloudians are made completely of some form of living condensation, physical attacks and weaponry do not harm them. However, magic and energy based attacks still harm the Cloudians, as they directly affect the living condensation of the Cloudians.

Typical Lifespan: Anywhere upwards of 800 years.
Public or private?: Public, don't even ask~
Other information: The Kiri'g'Chinok reproduce through a strange form of division. Two larger Kiri'g'Chinok join together for a period of a few moments before splitting into three, two large and one small Kiri'g'Chinok which become separate beings once more and go about their lives.

These beings do not perceive colour like most other beings do. Instead, they see through something known simply as 'The Spectrum of Enlightenment.' Which as far as other races can discern, appears to be the true Spectrum of magical energy and they can see all of the different variations of magic. This also allows them to instantly tell which type of magic a person favours as its colour frequents more often in their Spectrum.

Build Your Technology / Re: Vionix Unconventional Warfare
« on: April 09, 2013, 10:02:43 PM »
((To be fair, this tech will rarely be used and is really only to show Hawk how Body Mods are done))

LEGEND Artificial Combat Enhancer (ACE):

Sometimes the natural abilities of the Vionix are not enough to combat a threat and as such, LEGEND research teams have created a formula to boost the combat capabilities of LEGEND Agents. This serum, when injected into the body, causes the Vionix's natural biomechanics to go into a form of 'overdrive'. What this allows is for the Vionix to push themselves far past natural limits in order to get out of deadly situations. This increases the Vionix's strength to the level where they are capable of easily lifting two tons and throwing it, able to deadlift up to around 4 tons. The Vionix's speed is also increased, allowing for running up to just over 70mph for short bursts, around two minutes at a time before a rest is required. The Vionix also becomes much more resistant to pain, able to take bullet wounds without flinching. Unfortunately, this serum has its drawbacks. After use, it racks the user's body with pain and twitches as it causes damage to the internal biomechanics of the Vionix. In addition, any wounds taken while the serum was active will be known afterwards. This serum lasts for a while (Around 6 posts) but can only be used very sparingly or else it can cause complete degradation of the biomechanics of the vionix. (Once a topic or else the user dies after the second dose wears off)

I sense... a signal...

A voice piped up in the head of one certain being, one so recently back to the true mortal plane. Said being though had already felt the signal, sending a shiver run down his spine as he hovered in the middle of space, not looking at anything in particular.

"Someone needs help..." The being muttered, his voice dark and with a growl behind the words giving it a certain malicious air. A certain burning in his arm alerted him to focus on something but honestly, the being really couldn't care anymore, he had another task.

YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SAVING THE REALM!

The voice cried out inside his skull, causing a twitch to run through his eye. A calming breath later though and he drowned out the insistent voice to stop himself shouting back at it, it would only give the voice of Exodus pleasure.

So, focusing his magic around himself, Sirius Blade teleported himself to the source of the beacon only to see... Some form of dark, shadow-y orb. In the middle of this orb was where the source of the beacon was. "What is this?" Blade muttered to himself and reached up, scratching his chin gently as he formulated a plan to bring down the orb. This was where the true magic of Exodus came in for it was not only specialised in creating seals but breaking them as well. So, opening up a series of portals around the shadow-prison, whereupon a series of massive chains shot out and surrounded the orb of darkness. Forcing magic through these chains and with a few hand movements, Blade forced the chains to close around the prison, crushing it from the outside with the aid of Exodus magic to break any bonds around the prison. Exodus would work better than most others however as it was magic that had not been seen for millennia making it impossible to have defenses against it unless the person who created the prison happened to be there... So long ago...

Arcanis III / Re: Marching Back Home
« on: April 03, 2013, 07:36:15 PM »
The two Celestians looked at each other and then back to the much smaller male. Considering that both Celestians were over seven feet tall and wearing rather imposing armour, a hint of intimidation wouldn't go amiss and it would seem that this 'Alexis' had that already.

The Celestian on the left, a dark blue cowl covering his face, spoke up to the Officer. "Greetings, Officer Boajitan, I am Ocean and this is my partner, Blaze." He nodded to the other Celestian, a bright red cowl covering his face. "We have a matter of urgency to speak with you about. We, the Vionix, are not going to treat the Anrufe as prisoners of war. Instead of this we are going to take your leading command elements, scientists and ships and assimilate them into the Vionix fleet. As well as this, we will need pilots to train our own in the use of these ships. In return for this, you will be allowed to live aboard your own Titan still and for the rest of the vessels you will be given a choice as to whether you wish to remain aboard the ship as a help or settle on one of our planets and live alongside us. Considering the destruction of your planets and force itself, we see no reason for you to act hostile or for us to be hostile towards you. As such, the Vionix welcome you as honoured guests and you, Officer, may accompany us to meet the Emperor if you so wish." A nod and the Celestian coughed softly. "You may have some time to discuss with your fellow officers if you wish." Ocean then fell silent, waiting for some form of response.

{Destroyed} GS-Max Prison / Re: Free the Imprisoned

And so the deed was done. Mikal grinned under the mask as he felt the little traces of dark morality vanish like dust motes upon a heavy wind. Rotating his blade around, he locked it into its sheath with a flourish before taking a deep breath. He felt the AM field slide over him but that didn't matter, it wasn't a problem for him to bypass after all. Focusing on his new destination he let his magic flow through his being, not leaving, and then slide to his destination through certain... means. After this, he vanished, leaving the station to detonate behind him and wipe out the damned territory.

{Destroyed} GS-Max Prison / Free the Imprisoned
« on: March 11, 2013, 05:16:54 PM »
The Universe was a cruel place, people didn't understand compassion anymore. Freedom was non-existent. Governments watched over their populace like Hawks, choosing the beings to take for feed in their cruel regime. The regime of the Lord, the Watcher, the Dictator. It was something that everyone hated, people could tell themselves that their government wasn't corrupt, wasn't evil but they'd be wrong. It was all the regime, the conditioning, it was everything what was wrong.

It was because of this that Mikal believed that he existed. It was his job to break the Regime, to bring peace to the realms with any method possible... and that meant violence. Mikal knew that he was breaking his own promises by doing this but that wouldn't matter when it was all done.

The Justicar was standing away from the prison just now, the verdant grass rippling around his feet like waves from a sea. Around his calves flapped a long jacket, black leather reaching up and covering his body, unbuttoned at the front however. The leather was fine quality, looking almost new and unused but it was old, held together by good manufacturing and magic. The cuffs were held together with shimmering gold cuff links in the shape of a pair of wings. Under the jacket there was a rather simple shirt, done in matte black with shiny gold buttons down the front, polished to a high shine. There were no pockets on the shirt and the top three buttons were undone, exposing Mikal's chest. On the Justicar's legs were a pair of glossy black trousers with wide bottoms, moving around in the wind along with his hair, coat and the grass. Shining on his neck was a gold chain, with a shining symbol on it; a winged cross in a circle made of gold. His face was not visible however as a mask covered it, a white mask with a mouth in a large grin painted on it, fangs jutting over its lips and painted blood dripping down its chin. Eye holes were cut out and through them blue eyes peered out to the world. Above these eyes was black hair, waving gentle in the breeze blowing past.

There was one other thing on this male's body, a sword strapped to his right hip, a katana to be exact. It was in a red leather sheath with a long, black ribbon hanging from it, also fluttering, and gold coating the end. The handle of the actual sword was covered in red fabric with a gold pommel spike and guard. This weapon was tied to its wielder's hip by a long, flowing, red sash.

Staring calmly ahead, this individual knew he was ready for what was coming. The muscles in his legs tensed and he started to walk, one leg in front of the other, step by step. His feet took him forwards, towards the prison, towards his destination, towards the people that needed to be saved. His hand came down and grabbed the hilt of his sword, feeling the rough texture of the fabric covering it, the familiar feeling of the criss-crossing material over the entire hilt. It was something he was so accustomed to that it felt like another part of his body and as soon as he touched it, it became an extension of his body. He could feel the invisible threads of magic and power sliding into his hand and wrist, the pain was there as always but it was a good pain, a pain he knew and he let it in, let his body become one with Hametsu. The magic of the blade flowed into him but she was strangely silent today.

A quiet shing echoed out across the plain as Mikal's hand moved back, drawing the blade from its sheath. Silver metal gleamed in the sunlight slashing down and reflecting it into prismatic light beams across the entire plane. The Justicar's hand drew the blade across his body and held it out at a right angle to his side, blade to the side.

"I judge thee, for thou hath sinned and shown thyselves unworthy of sparing. Thy lives and thy bodies are mine own, thy spirits and thy souls will go on and thou shallst cease to be when I wreak mine vengeance upon ye." A voice called out, booming and crystal clear, ringing over the guards like church bells in their ears. "Thy lives are forfeit for thy misdeeds, surrender unto my blade, do not fight me or thou shallst only prolong the inevitable. Thy blood shallst soak the earth and water the seeds of thy sin."

Sword still pointing to the side, Mikal walked towards the prison. His magic was focused and his eyes were closed but he didn't need them to see the sinners before him, he knew they were there. He knew everything...

Accepted Characters / He Knows
« on: March 10, 2013, 06:44:54 PM »
Character Name: Mikal Iustitia
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Race: Half Ascended Human, half Justicar (Embodiment of Justice)
Appearance:

Figure, Complexion and Face: Standing at 6'7", Mikal is not too nice a looking person. His body is lean and lithe, holding wiry strength in the thin muscles in his arms and legs. His chest and stomach are flat although toned and his hips and thighs are very thin, although he was never built to be a really hard hitter. His complexion is very pale with a slight ashen look to his skin, for unknown reasons. Onto Mikal's face, which is very angular and gaunt, his eyes are wide and sharp though.

Hair and Eyes: Mikal's hair is black and rather long, extending almost to his shoulders and is spiked near the tips raggedly and sharply. His fringe is long as well, reaching to the bottom of his nose and appearing to partially obscure his eyesight although this doesn't really pose any problems for the Justicar. His eyes are a deep blue colour, almost close to black with flecks of sea-green amongst the iris.

Distinguishing Marks: The Justicar has a series of scars along his forearms from his arduous weapons and magic training but these are usually hidden because he wears a jacket, he doesn't mind people seeing them.
Alliance: JUSTICE!
Personality (one paragraph minimum): Mikal has the strangest personality. He believes in Justice for All in the most literal sense of the term, if anyone has done any transgression against another living being he will attack them on sight for going against Galactic Justice. His entire purpose it would seem is to bring peace to the entire Universe through violence. If someone is considered 'pure' enough to not be attacked by Mikal he can be found to be near nervous breakdown. He talks to himself a lot and has many, many nervous tics as well as shaking profusely when not in combat. Holding his blade seems to calm him down but for reasons unknown to any apart from Mikal himself.
Inventory (Weapons, Equipment, Etc): Hametsu, his living sword. It contains a spirit and while in use it can control Mikal's arm to block attacks that he usually would be nowhere near fast enough to block, including laser weaponry. This weapon also appears to be able to regenerate from any damage done to it and can be called back to his hand, unfortunately this blade actually contains a malicious presence and it speaks with Mikal. (This is not a cursed weapon, it gives no true advantages apart from the speed)
Combat Level: 4
- Magic  Level: Morality Magic: 3 - Sabermancy (Sword Magic): 5 - Overall: 4
- Physical Strength: 4
Character's History (Minimum 3 Paragraphs): Earth was never a very fun place to live, especially not Sweden. Sweden was boring as all hell and cold all the time, Mikal hated the cold. This Mikal lived a rather sheltered life, doing not a whole lot with it apart from going to school and getting the best grades he could. He wasn't allowed out and he wasn't allowed contact with anyone else in the outside world... all for a reason.

Mikal learned this reason when he turned sixteen and a strange person came to visit him. This person simply called himself 'Justice' and he was here to train Mikal in something. His mother and father begged 'Justice' to not take Mikal but he was insistent and Mikal went along with him. Once away from his family, Mikal was told the truth. He was not a true human nor was his human part normal. This Justice proceeded to unlock Mikal's soul and gave him magic as well as a sword. It was a strange sword, looking like a Katana to be exact, but it spoke to Mikal, it told him things. Then the training began.

If the Justicar hated anything more than the cold, it was the training. He was taught first how to commune and fight with Hametsu, his sword, this took a few months. Afterwards however he was able to best 'Justice' in a fight with the sword... then came magic. Mikal just couldn't get magic, it took him a long time to learn magic and it wasn't Justice that taught him it, it was Hametsu. The blade taught him how to join with it, effectively turning them into one soul and body, and focus magic through it, allowing for some rather spectacular spells and so on. Other magicks were learned and then Mikal was sent off on his own to bring Justice to the multiverse, if it wasn't for his screwed up sense of Justice, perverted and bastardised by Hametsu's words.

From then on, Mikal started to explore the multiverse, destroying what he thought was 'unjustly' and killing anyone who had committed large crimes, with no remorse and no regret. This is where he is now, killing things and people...

I'm not backseat modding or anything here I am just pointing out a small science note. Electricity would not work in open space because there are no ionised particles which carry the charge forwards. To point you to the Black Vionix, I solved this problem by using gravitational controllers to make a localised stream of ionised particles which allowed the Electro-Cannon's charge to be transferred to the enemy ship whereupon it would have something to conduct it. So yeah, no electricity unless this ship can somehow control gravity with biological functions.

Sage Dimension / Re: No Mage...
« on: February 16, 2013, 12:05:20 AM »
The Captain had laughed as the Mages tried in vain to escape and he watched them explode and die, their spells backfiring upon them.

When the Denial Field went off however, every single Vionix soldier was teleported back aboard the ship and locked down, all of them running after mission routines to get their gear and weapons packed away before a quick escape which would be happening soon.

The Katana class that had been with the Keeper quickly Hyper Space'd away and went back to Arcanis on its own, leaving the Keeper to its own fate... being completely oblivious as to the infection that had occurred. As far as the Vionix were concerned, all went according to plan.

Sage Dimension / Re: No Mage...
« on: February 15, 2013, 11:39:13 PM »
The Vionix Captain looked over the soldiers of his companies, inspecting gear and weapons before nodding an affirmative. "This is War, no mercy, keep it agony." The soldiers all understood that command.

The ship they were traveling in was a modified Katana class, Denial Fields already active and stocked with several companies of Vionix soldiers. However, these soldiers were dressed DACI, all part of the plan.

The DFs were up and the Katana launched forwards into a Hyper Space gate before appearing alongside the DACI Keeper. The two Denial Fields from the ships would blanket the entire city, every spell attempted to be casted would be used against them, the magic attacking the user.

Then the soldiers struck, the Vionix soldiers teleporting in and dropping instinctively into combat stances. Shots from Distortion Rifles flashed out, any Mage that got hit had parts of them turned to ash as they fell apart from the withering plasma fire.

The Captain landed with his Wavering Blade and Pistol drawn and he shot one of the Mages through the head, turning half of the magical being's skull to dust and as it crumbled away the rest of the brain was revealed. The Captain of the company then stepped forwards and lashed out with his sword, the two Mages in front of him being cleanly bisected and the top halves of their bodies simply slid away from the bottom.

The other soldiers then saw a large group of the magic users ahead... so they drew their ion grenades and readied them. "Toss!" The sergeant shouted and the grenades flew overhead before landing amidst the Mages and detonating, crackling orbs of blue-white plasma flaring out and turning the beasts to dust.

Then the heavy weapons started to fire, the massive shimmerstrike launchers taking tolls on any being they hit, the High-Explosive rockets sending bits of Mage bouncing off of walls with wet noises and sprays of blood.

It was a sheer massacre, blood pooled in the streets and there were bodies everywhere, some of the Vionix would be haunted but overall, the ones chosen... hated magic and those who used it and would gladly fight against those who nearly worshiped it.

The heavy weapons weren't the worst though, no the worst was the magic the Mages tried to use. Any spell attempted would backfire and some of the magic beings started to lose limbs or chunks blew out of their chests as powerful spells suddenly shot back against them, destroying them from the inside out. The shocked looks on their faces were the best things however, the Captain would be heard saying later.

Now the question was... why?

I give my approval for the tech but in regards to the weapons, Hawk knows which ones he's able to use and not so that's that sorted.

The Emperor however had to respectfully decline as he had his own things to do, his own festivals and parties to plan and certain speeches to be given over the entire address system. It was a momentous day after all and the Emperor was going to spend it in his own damned star system.

The Vionix fleet appeared in system, a massive wave of shimmering particles heralding its approach upon the Vionix approach vectors and the ships gladly followed in their massive arrowhead formation, hundreds of kilometers long and deep.

Inside the gargantuan ship array there were a large series of new ships. One of these happened to be the size of a planet, and all of them bore Anrufe heraldry, the Vionix had apparently won the war.

The address screens across the system were displaying lists of the dead and commendations as well as news that the Anrufe war was over. Happiness was all around, parties were planned and executed and festivals ran through the streets.

Inside the Anrufe titan however, a pair of Celestians from the Fleet Guard walked into the bridge and glared at everyone in the room, their eyes a piercing, solid white inside their heads.

"We need to speak to your effective command or lead element." They said, quietly although it held authority and wasn't a voice to be ignored.

When the Vionix came properly aboard the differences were startlingly obvious. The Vionix armour was all function, it appeared like a skin tight suit of black material with many plates of black armour slid over the top, providing heavy protection everywhere but heavier protection around the thighs, chest and shoulders. The vionix themselves weren't much different body wise though, they were humanoid and in varying height, the shortest being five foot and six inches and the tallest being around seven and a half feet. One of the Vionix walked up to the most ornately armoured warrior and bowed slightly to him. Straightening up, he tilted his head slightly and a pair of insignia appeared on his shoulders. One was a trio of blades pointing down with a star over them, marking him as a brigadier, the second was a winged circle, marking him out as fleet rather than army.

"Greetings, soldiers. I am Brigadier Omithoth. I'm afraid to say to you that the current situation is not looking good at all. Your ships are heavily damaged and we can't do all that much but preliminary repairs out of a station so we're going to bring you along and dock you in one of the Stations and get you sorted up." He smiled, his helmet polarising to show his face, rugged but honest, and nodded.

The spiders however would find that quite a few dropships had planted themselves and two of the soldiers were chatting to each other. "It isn't often that we end up with this sort of thing happening." One said to the other, her eyes a shiny red.

"Quite true but our space has been seeing a lot of new traffic coming in and out. I'm not really surprised all that much." The other was a male, of purple eyes.

"I wasn't talking about that, idiot, I was talking about the calls. Something about necromancy, that's ridiculous, we've met magic but the undead? I highly doubt it." She laughed it off and shook her head before standing up and sliding her helmet on. "Well, time to get moving, the Vionix Fleet doesn't wait around."

The guy just nodded and put his helmet on before walking away with the girl, giving out a small piece of information to the spiders as to who actually the repair troops happened to be.

The Sage with the stump just gave the two Owls a weary smile and nodded to them. "No need to worry, I'll be fine. You should tend to the others, I can't be helped, I understand." A dry laugh came from his throat and he wandered off to join his brethren by the fire.
The other adults would thank the Owl Sages as they were bandaged up and promises of many things were given to their Saviours. Things from their possessions, to their feathers down to even their bodies as they were just so glad to have been saved by those who didn't judge them for looks or past.
Ahnohem was the only one who hadn't went to the fire and he was also mostly unharmed, a cut on his leg and temple and a slight burn on his arm but he was fine otherwise. The Raven walked over to Bettreena and gently rested his hand on her shoulder. "I thank you, Bettreena, it means a lot. Is there any way at all I can help? I could carry supplies or such for my people or I could help with binding wounds, I am lightly wounded myself so I needn't worry."
