Roleplaying / Re: Trial by Fire (Chaos vs. Oblivion, test RP)

oblivion was unpredictable, it was his greatest strength, always had been. his motives never made sense to anyone and that usually gave him an edge in battle. however against the unpredictability of his chaotic brother it would seem trivial. what passed for his mind worked over time as he moved towards the rainbow horseman, he had no idea what chaos might do but he knew his brother well enough to know that he needed to ignore anything he might do that could distract him from winning. as if in complement to his thoughts, chaos started singing ''-reach for the stars-''. oblivion lowered his head 'oh that song.....that song is the bane of my existence BROTHER..' He let his voice spread towards chaos...but it seemed that the second chaos heard it he sent a bolt of energy flying towards oblivion in a split second and leapt through the air towards him. ...it was time to be unpredictable..... oblivion tensed into a crouch, hoping that his makeshift armour would protect him sufficiently against whatever the magical bolt had in store.  he let his reactions take over and time seemed to slow down. he felt chaos close the distance between them, it almost seemed like he was drifting. just as chaos closed the 3 meter gap oblivion leapt 'through' the bolt of energy and rocketed into chaos with enough force to crack the stone armour protecting him. the brothers flew into the sky, oblivion's arms wrapped around the waist of chaos and the wind whistling past them. oblivion didnt even have time to register the flowers. just as they began to slow down oblivion let go and with a sharp but light jab into the stomach of his brother he pushed him down. tendrils of darkness spread from the shoulders of oblivion as he slowed his descent and whatched chaos plummet downwards.

sure thing. oops did i not say that shields and energy barriers can keep him out. sorry i meant to :P he can be kept out by pretty much any energy shield system. . the plan was for him to be completely impervious to physical matter but very weak to magic and any directed energy weapons. il clear that bit up sorry.  would it be ok if i confined the instantanious destructive power to his hands :P just because he has no ranged weapons and refuses to use but the bare minumum of magic

if you was capable a feeling such petty emotion as rage, oblivion would have cursed through the seven circles of hell. as his hands swung through the space once occupying chaos he knew it was a mistake, reading the airwaves around him he felt the blade cut down towards his back, no matter it would be worse than usless on contact, but the boot coming very fast towards his head was a different matter. his brother had undoubtably put some magic behind the kick and that could prove unfortunate. he only had a split second two react. if he could quickly fire a rock were his foot would make contact then the momentum would be transfered to the stone which would then be disntigrated on impact. but he would only have a second to ........'ARGHHHHHH' oblivion stumbled forwards as random carved a slice through his shoulder and knocked him clear of the kick. liquid darkness bubbled out of the wound as it started to close up ''well done BROTHER'' oblivion twisted around his eyes burning with red light ''what a clever TRICK you just PULLED there'' the horseman of darkness stood his full height and towered over his chaotic brother, slowly he released the wards around his hands and pulled them over his head and chest, dust particles drifted up over his body making him look like a sand apparation then with a crack they all fused together to form a thick barrier against the physical and the metaphysical. moving slowly at first but building up speed he ran at the rainbow horseman, his eye burning with the knowledge that he could take anything the mijget threw at him.

''hmmm, i see you are still wielding that ridiculous trinket. i hope you realise its useless here'' if he had a mouth it would have been smirking. ''it appears that you have learned nothing from the last time i destroyed you.'' he smoothly created a field around his hands and forearms, this would allow him to carve and strike with his talons normally as well as block attacks and grapple. he didnt whant to do too much damage to his brother and leaving his attacks unguarded would probably mean disintigrating something that would take weeks to heal, like a leg. he left his head and chest without a protective seal, so that any physical attacks directed at him would disapparate as a layer of defence. ''please dont take this personally brother, this was your idea'' oblivion raised a spiked fist and plunged into the ground, the rock made a faint hiss as he carved large chunks out of it. when he stood up he had several melon-sized boulders attached to his arm. it was an old trick he picked up. they could be used to amplify his already incredible strength or he could focus his TK and send them flying with needle point accuracy. with what may have been cockyness oblivion strode forwards and sent a whole arms worth rocketing towards chaos. as they flew oblivion blurred with impossible speed and followed behind them. he raised a rock incrusted fist and braced his other hand to slash at his belly, aiming to sandwich his brother in the confusion.

oblivion stood, as still as the void. his unwavering gaze fixed on his brother below. he could see chaos at the other end of the arena standing fixed in position. he knew he could probably see him standing on the top of the wall but he didnt care. stealth was something he could never really get the hang of during daylight hours, as he stood out againts any light as a beacon of darkness. taking a step forwards he plummeted down the 40 odd feet without even thinking about it. a plume of dust kicked up as he landed and swirled around him in the light breeze. oblivion took a few paces forwards and the dust around him was instantly disintegrated. as he strided towards the horseman he let his shoulders become spiked and vicious in anticipation for the upcoming battle, a jagged crown sprouted from his head and his fingertips grew and sharpened. 'greetings brother. i trust you have prepared yourself to your satisfaction.'' he stopped 20 feet away from the unmoving chaos. his  glowing eye slits locked on his brothers writhing orbs  'so shall we begin''.

Oblivion

Character Name: Oblivion

Age: Unknown, Estimated Dawn of Existence

Gender: Male

Race: Horseman of the Assured

Appearance Ok, imagine a void of absolute nothingness. Of blackness so dark an Event Horizon seems as bright as a star. Now imagine it in the shape of an adult male with an unusually round head and you have almost pretty much got Oblivion. His general form can morph to his will but he usually favours a tall slender figure of around 8'7. As of yet no device or civilisation has been able to work out a method of weighing him, so his mass is unknown-Although it is highly likely that he weighs nothing as gravity seems to not effect him unless he allows it. Should he become irritated (or just simply feel like it ) the outline around his shoulders become spiked and vicious, as if he was wearing sharp pauldrons that curled up towards his temple and down past his elbows. Making him seem broader than usual. Usually he appears to be wearing something akin to a jagged crown on his head but its hard to tell as all his armour is made of the same complete blackness he is. His eyes are the only part of him that looks different from the rest; they are as thin as knife slits and spew forth pure white light. Although that can change to red, blue or green depending on his mood. ( it is also the only way apart from the state of his armour to tell his emotions)

Oblivions horse Void is a curiosity. Like the rest it is massive, its head well over 14 feet high. Unlike the steeds of the other horsemen however it never appears on its own, or even seems to have any particular distinguishing personality. In fact it ceases to exist when not mounted by oblivion, only reappearing when oblivion chooses to ride again. When he does he will rise into the air and Void then silently forms underneath him. This has lead to the speculation that Void isn't a thing in its own right but rather another fragment of Oblivions will taken form. This is likely why Void is completely and utterly loyal and obedient. It understands what oblivion whims are at the exact same moment as oblivion. This gives them such a high level of grace that they appear to be one conglomeration rather than horse and rider. The fact that they are both made of identical nothingness makes it even easier to believe.

Alliance: The Eight Horsemen

Personality:(one paragraph minimum) Oblivion is at best as blank and foreboding as a layer of snow settled on the thin ice of a freshly frozen lake. He seems utterly impassive almost all the time and never shows any form of emotion, except in cases like in the middle of battle, where he succumbs to cold bloodlust and occasionally when alone with his fellow horsemen. (Oblivion is also one of the few individuals that find chaos's antics amusing rather than infuriating. Which is ironic because its the only thing in the mulitverse he finds amusing) He almost never talks, even during a council. He instead prefers to wait to the end and deliver one or two words that he deems of great importance to the matter. Although he will answer direct questions. His motives are unfathomable, even to the other horsemen he is an enigma.

His voice can be best described as a billion insane psychopaths talking at the same time in a smooth tone that never varies or changes and continues long after he has stopped talking. His voice chills the hearts of all those around him and can drive lesser minds to lunacy if heard for too long. Oblivion is unique among the riders in many ways, one of which is that he has no split or opposite personality like the others.

                 Oblivion

Inventory: Void of nothingness- Oblivion is perhaps the most efficiently deadly among the horsemen because of the fact that his entire body is a weapon. Any physical matter be it a wall; a bullet or a person that comes into contact with him is instantly destroyed. If he so desired to he could put his hand right through someone’s chest and leave a gaping hole in them, or he could quite literally walk through a rank of soldiers. His specific ability has made him focus on hand to hand combat exclusively so he has no specific weapon to speak of. Although his style isn't martial arts, it’s more of brutal, efficient combat system. His form is unique among his kin but it seems to allow magical attacks and directed energy weapons to affect him more than his fellow horsemen. Should enough raw energy be fired at him he will have to stop everything he is doing and focus completely on staying in one particular shape. If he didn't he would dissipate and have to re-form over the course of a few days.

Telekinetic field- Oblivion rarely uses magic of any kind. He HAS a large amount of power at his disposal but for some reason known only to him, he uses but the bare minimum in battle. The only thing he uses regularly is a mono-molecular telekinetic field that he creates around himself so he can pick things up, punch someone without killing them, use a doorknob or just generally interact with the world without obliterating it. The field is very powerful however and it appears to give him strength many times greater that your average biped.

Combat Level: 5
Magic Level: 3/5
Physical Strength: 5

Character History
Oblivion is the incarnate of oblivion. He is nothing given form, and always has been. No-one knows why nothing decided to become sentient at the birth of the horsemen but no one can deny that it makes sense and just seems right. He has a deep brotherly connection to his fellow riders (although you would never know it) and has nothing but good feelings to all of them.
Oblivion is the final judgement for any planet to have Armageddon wrought upon by the horsemen of the assured. Once a planet has had all life wiped from its surface. Once the oceans have boiled and its atmosphere has been swept into space. Then oblivion will slowly change, his form flattens and morphs from a humanoid to a humongous cloak like apparition. He will then go about his ancient ritual and slowly travel across the face of the dead world disintegrating a trench of rock and ash, continuing like this he will slowly but surely consume the planet layer by layer until there is little enough rock that the energy in the spinning core of the world will tear it apart and send spinning chunks of crust into the consuming void of space. This process usually takes years and his brother’s invariable move on before it is finished. Only when a planet is reduced to mere dust will he allow himself to follow.
Untold years after his creation the horsemen came upon a planet and despite the inhabitants being incredibly inferior in every way they some how managed to capture them. Oblivion was reduced to a formless mass and then caged in a sphere of energy a few inches in diameter. It now hangs on a magnetic field sealed in a vacuum chamber embedded in a concrete wall of the cave with the rest of his brothers. Countless moons waxed and waned, mortal lives past by like ants and the legend of the horsemen was forgotten. Now 40,000 years later something is waking.
