Roleplaying / Re: SP DND

I'll need a basic backstory/list of house approved races before I can start.

With the exception of dragons being a bit more of a I don't like to approve most of the time, any 3.5 race is fine by me. The main thing I suggest considering in any build as main mods on this Setting is:

1. Undead are made from a collection of souls and thus have stat bonuses and two extra feats. Also extremely rare.

2.All forms Teleportation only includes you. Not even you undies can make the trip with you.

What's the story that's happened so far (Most of it being backstory at a guess)?

Story:

Welcome to Cold's Deep, a world barely connected to other planes. A simple near planet sized rock with three strange deities. There is a artificial moon at the center of the inhabited Plateau, this moon is the only source of light... for this is the Starless Era. There is no central Government of any kind. This is a time of lawlessness, ever the Gods tend to be viewed with such hatred that there is no real religious order.

The rest of the backstory I wish to save for IC discovery.

Marid Colony A / Re: I Was Once, Possibly, Maybe, Perhaps A Cowboy King
« on: January 10, 2013, 01:54:18 PM »
New information, knowledge of any sort. It was the primary driving force in almost any Marid. Those with the collective even had stores of these knowledge secreted away in the very minds of the parental gems.

Sexual knowledge was an interesting subject to some Marid. It was harder emulating the more intimate parts of another species than just their outward appearance. It had taken a number of encounters like the ones the crew were providing for these Marid to get it right. When they did, perfecting and accumulating a deeper understanding of sexual relations became an almost sacred task.

One such Marid, wasn't satisfied in the brutes and swash of the men of this crew. He was a veteran of the Elemora Crisis. An event that earned him his promotion, and his position as Logistics Commander. Yet... even with the books and other such stores of knowledge he got first access to from trading with the K Empire. He felt the most sinful emotion any Marid could feel.

Boredom

The name of this Marid was Yule, to confirm the supplies that the crew had purchased and then order their distribution onto their vessel. Yule was dressed in a jet black uniform, with silver decoration. It was both practical and just flashy enough to indicate his high rank. The left breast of his uniform  read in reflective silver letter, "Yule". An image of a crow wearing a crown in flight, carrying a package denoted his rank of Logistics Commander.

As he approached four members of the vessal, "I am Logistics Commander Yule, The confirmation report for the Captain is ready. he he wishes he can meet me for tea to discuss the details, or he can host the discussion."

Just like many other Marid, his tone was too precise and nearly spine-chillingly polite.

Goodbye / Re: Message from Hikaru

Actually, Treena is the only thing that is keeping Earth livable in Deletrius. Fact is, Earth is kinda perma stuck, and no Treena in a place with no sun or even  cosmic backround noise would spell for a certain blue planet unlivable rock status.

A simple metaphor for why Treena being dormant wouldn't bring Earth back. If someone fires a gun, melting the gun would take the bullet out of your heart. The no magic event screwing up Treena's teleport happened, and is not reversible by removing Treena.

While, I am most upset and up to date on what is going on in Syria. The elementary shooting, I've been trying to be a bit more detached from, because the psychological dynamics of the young man who committed the actions and his mother are not fully revealed. If anything, timing is why this can be considered tragic. While, yes this view require ignorance of the greater going ons in the world. An entire class of kindergartners died. One week before Christmas. Their parents probably already bought their gifts and wrapped them.

How many of you had a best friend in kindergarten from another class? I know I did. Now imagine if an entire class of someone FIRST best friend was just flat out murdered. From a developmental stand point, this will create some truly traumatized kids in a section of the world where we try to hide our broken.

Speaking of broken, those parents I told you about. How many of them have other kids, and how function of parents can they really be right now, and down the line?

In the end, I care about all the hell that goes on in the world, but practically speaking, right now there is nothing I can do. So for me, I'll wait until there is something real I can do before I'll emotionally attach myself to the situation.

Introduce Yourself! / Re: Hello.
« on: December 08, 2012, 01:20:07 PM »
I Agree. The effort put into finding out how he was doing, and how best to give him to opportunity to leave what was understood as a bad situation cost Hik a number of days of her life both in and out of incarceration to help. If Francis wanted to be a part of the roleplay, if he wanted to seize control of his own life and be an independent individual, we would had heard from him in April when he could of chosen of his own freewill to just even communicate.

The boy didn't even convey he had a change of heart about being Hik's friend. He left implied and hurt her in a way, that I can not forgive.

However, the point being. There is no way we should accept an associate of such a traitorous swine, much less hand over RP privileges  to an unproven member who we are unsure would no abuse or be unable RP properly .

This entire situation makes me sick.

With one last scream of emotional torment, the EverChild disappeared is a glow of redyellowblue light. As his final frantic spell caused such a cataclysmic reaction, scrubbing the upper atmosphere from existence.

The dark figure creating the solid blizzard vanished with a distinct pop, as the spell continued on its own prerogative. Encased the structures in a sheen of ice stronger than almost any metal.

The Wyvern heard the communication, and darted underground, taking a vice-prophet into his jaws like a swooping eagle.

Muth nodded and Bowed in return, Muth locked eyes with Azarai.  "Fire is not an issue, the question is... am I your apprentice?"

A young female Anrufe soldier had died somewhere on the surface below. Average soldier, and to everyone except one boy she was nothing special. You see, for the last eight years of her life, she had a sweetheart. This boy had been everything to her, after the Anrufe. The sad thing being, he didn't age. In her mind's eye it was as if he stayed in perfection and she left into the woes of reality.

As she bled out, none of this mattered. Her operational importance was negligible. Yet... this boy who was beside her when she took her fatal blow... howled in sorrow. Torn by the loss, even if it was a countless chain of many loves... with each one this boy gave every drop of his heart like a child's first entrancement with another.

A layer of water, 10 kilometers thick enclosed the upper atmosphere. winds in the lower atmosphere swish and turned becoming a storm of ludicrous wind speeds and gale force. Six hundred and sixteen pillars of flexible and tensile mix of molten and solid crust shot up in the sky, as the storm and the pillar become the elastic support for the upper layer of water.

The warheads exploded into this floating sea, as the seas responded as if a living thing, and encroached and swallowed the force of their explosion. As the psudeo-magic particles would only breach the upper 3 kilometers of sea, and it pushed out that layer into the void of space as if shedding skin. Expelling normal water mixed with all the radiation and pseudo-magic particles out way from the planet in a spherical ray.

During this whole thing, the woman... had risen and attempt to attack and consume the boy. Yet, even as his only normal eye widen in horror, his other eye remained stoic as the mirror it speared to be. Floating far above the woman's frenzied corpse... he wept.

The zombie child was held in the multi-polyhedron MER field, for all intents and purposed she was locked down. The Marid did quarantine fully the cargo block where the Gryphon's were being held. The AM field already up, this just meant that the Cargo block was ejected and held adrift with its own systems.

Any attempts on the zombie child's part to escape was to be halted by furthers shielding and the fact that the Marid Scientists were mostly just water illusion.

The zombies in the Talar system continued to die again and again. The MER field tearing them apart by their very molecular structure.

The corruption beams hit the blizzard, as it spread further across the planet.  The gale and snow reacted with eerie purpose, as it thickened at points of impact with the beams. Encasing the beam creating heavy solid cylinders of metallic ice. The grid was cased in a thick layer of condensed ice. So condensed in face that when its growth disturb the ice, it would explode with exponentially more water, which would refreeze almost immediately.

The winged beast continued its onslaught of acid projectiles. The exhalation of  acid, vibrate in the air creating a frantic song, as the song reverberated, magic circles appeared where the sound touched, a strange lime green glow emitted from these circles.

(meh)

The Marid in command smiled, "Interesting"

The block was locked down while they dealt with the captured species. While, their samples of the child were destroyed by her revival. The AM field was still in place. The child was surrounded by a cubed force field. As the the Commander looked over the footage of the child's revival.

Half the Marid made safety checks of all the locked down Gryphons. "You know, I was under the impression that you were Gryphons... not something that rose from the ashes." The Commander asked with a fixed gaze to the elder who had been strapped for questioning.

The other half, assisted in capturing the child. Techs calculated the geometry of many cubed force fields, a block with an large volume and many internal squares to fill it it was added onto the initial cubed force field. Leaving nearly no room for error.

While they couldn't kill them. The Marid had the ship locked down tight. The Reeducation program had the adults and children on separate decks. The original holding block, was now a clean research lab. The revived Gryphons would find themselves locked in this with Am fields, as the Marid begin to attempt to restrain all revived victims.

Considering that Aloange was completely wiped out. The Aloange Mafia and the Locar that died here would have an interesting time. There had been no Marid casualties. However, the small fleet and station had returned at the conclusion of the Locar fight. They had to flee immediately again.

Talar Space Station / Re: Argh

Considering that all that remained of the Talar belts asteroids... was nothing. The pirates would find themselves floating in space. The Talar Sphere, the Dyson Sphere that encased the local star didn't have any pirates. The Talar Sphere was manned with a number of Wayword.

First reaction was to activate the MER Field. Anything that molecular bound the pirates new bodies together would be ripped apart.

He heard the voice. Regarded it, and meant to earn membership. He wasn't going to die permanently by enemies that retreated from a little acid. How unfortunate he thought. Yet, memories of feeling the wind on his wings... the glances of those strange purple wings. Pain of who he had lost, and never could win back seeped out from deep within himself.

While the wound the serpentine man inflicted on himself had already healed. The Acidic blood still multiplied, filling up the local underground. With a strange precision, walls of green crystal blocked off the blood's spread. Locking it in, as it still multiplied. Great pressure would be exerted on the underground, as the serpentine man ripped out from his false skin. Revealing a two wings, two legged scaly beast, the only feature that remained similar, was his red slitted eyes. His scales were a deep black.

40 meters to the flank opposite to the Black Legion, the ground shook violently, as a eruption of acid, rock, and ash composed of dissolved rock. Taking flight, the beast flew high, exhaling balls of acid onto the troops.

The Blizzard quivered and become solid. As it raged, the snow that composed the blizzard became hard, dense, and sharp. A shielded fight in this blizzard would last less than a second. Chanting could be heard coming from every part of the blizzard, as the icy structures seemed to grow into the sky, and sink deeper into the ground. Creating an unnatural and hard permafrost.

Muth was intrigued by the Smiths. The skill and precision was something he admired. Ever more so, it was the sheer amount of smiths that impressed him. The Dragons warming his heart, he continued to work on the sculpture. It took shape, as layer by layer the stone was carefully removed.

What was left, in acute detail was a Dragon, engulfing a naked Smith in fire. The edges of the stone, cultivated a sense of provocative sensuality in the design, while showing a keen application of the Smiths skills. The base of the sculpture was a mosaic of armor and swords, that the Dragon and Smith stood upon.

"Which ever Smith take me as her apprentice will receive this as my gift, and all my effort for her forge." It was booming soft voice.

For a long time, it had been hard to impress Muth. For Eons, he had worked as a craftsman across countless worlds. For the first time, there was a silent twinkle of delight in his eyes. For a long time, he just sat and watched. Observing the Women and the dragons work the forges.

At one point, he got up. A Black Marble stone appeared in the middle of the street, as he got to work carving it. He was two hours into this carving, as it begun to take shape.

A large man, with corded, and honed muscles appeared near a village. His deep red hair billowing in the wind. With a hammer and chisel as the only possession besides the cloths of his back. He approched the village at a consistent pace, each step without hesitation, the rocks jumping a little with each stride. It was a gait that exuded confidence as well as purpose.
