As they docked, they were ushered out of their ships, their armor and weapons were confiscated until their next return flight and the safety crews scanned the ship for any contents that could be improvised as a lethal explosive device or other military hardware.

The plasticine door grew redhot and then melted from the point of impact onwards. The same happened with the metallic walls before it, albeit the process was somewhat slower. When he had made his way inside the cockpit, he would see a darkened area, illuminated mainly by the raging electrical fire on the main console and, now, the open door. The place was in ruins, sparks shooting out all over the electrical grid and various panels and electronic doodads completely annihilated.  In the center of the room was the man, wearing a metal suit, on the floor. When the Elemental tried to move him he groaned and muttered something starting with an S.

Around him, the Elemental could a small, red device with a nozzle attached to a blackened tube. There were long pieces of metal debris that could be used as prybars but most everything else in the room had lost its use when the ship decided to play chicken with a planetoid.

Okay, so, I've been with this site for a good few years and, while I've not always been active, I've always come back. This time is different. I'm done with Role Play sites. I might still be around and talk to the members of the site, but I will not be onsite or posting. My story is done. Unstellar and I will be making an alternative ending to the Zarethian-Revenge War and he might post it here. Otherwise, you all can do whatever you want with my stuff. I recommend leaving the Zarethians to either Hiro, K2, Blade or Lyoko. My other characters who are not affiliated with the Zarethians can go up for adoption.

My reasons for leaving are thus: Too much drama, which has always been a factor for the site in general. It sucks that we have such a talented memberbase but we can't seem to keep personal issues from appearing fairly frequently. I also won't have time to keep myself near active and I wasn't active anyway.

If you want to keep the site going in a positive direction, there needs to be cooperation between members and staff. Members shouldn't just bitch and whine about how staff aren't doing their jobs and then not present any viable ideas for change. In return, staff should keep open minds and try to work with the members. You need an information network to bring people in and you need to stop the drama and bring them into the story to keep them here.

However, sometimes I think that it would be a better idea for people to just let this site die. Its been around long enough in my personal opinion and some people are way too attached to the site. Its not always healthy, and I believe that most people here simply need to move on (hopefully keeping a community) and find something else to do.

Either way, its not my business and I wish everyone here the best of luck in their future. There've been good and bad times but this is the last time you'll see me here.

Your dear and hated friend,

Zak Knight

The town was beautiful. It was small, but well placed, with the outskirts lining up perfectly with the sandy shores. Alongside the roads, green grass and lively flora flourished on the well maintained scenic side paths. It was a normal day in the small city. The sun shone brightly, casting its golden rays over the rising town skyline, basking the white sand, blackened pavement and bricks in its illuminating solar glow. People of all types were walking or driving around town on various pieces of business or pleasure. Some where going to a local bar which was famous for its karaoke.

As the bar's music boomed out from the little square people flocked to it, gathering around to volunteer to sing or get a drink. One of those people was a tall, dark haired man of medium build. He wore a black leather jacket with jeans. He approached the bar, feeling the vibrations in the air as the sound waves reverberated across the medium of the air. Well, not just feeling them. He saw them too. The booming of the stereo, the off tune lyrics of the singer and even the smallest whisper of a friend to another. He could see them all if he wanted to.

He tapped his finger on his glass and watched dully as the vibrations bounced back and forth in the glass container. He began tapping his foot to the beat of the drums, the vibrations of his foot falls growing. He concentrated a small bit, and the vibrations grew. A small trickle became torrent, and a crack appeared beneath him. It grew with each tap, spreading out beneath him like a spider's web chiseled into the concrete. The ground became weaker and weaker, and more people came, attracted by the bustle and the sounds of a party. As each new person walked towards the bar, the ground became looser and looser.

Tap.

Tap.

Tap.

With one finally tap to the beat, the ground cracked open like a maw into the abyss. Screams and shouts filled the air and the music stopped abruptly as the band and their equipment were swallowed into the blackness. A massive cloud of gritty, brown smoke filled the air, floating up for a hundred or so feet. The screams of the dying, wounded and confused filled the city air as a once peaceful day became much, much more dangerous.

Roleplaying / Re: Kota's estimated overall kill count topic!
« on: April 24, 2013, 04:25:18 PM »
Well, you may even be a bit low, actually. If ten planets had the population of Earth, which isn't all that unlikely given magic and advanced technology as well as the already naturally extended lifespans of many races, then that would something along the lines of eighty billion people dead with each planet's destruction, not including the crews of the ships that were destroyed during wartime. After all, a super capitol ship would either be run by a CRAPTON of people or a bunch of AI/automatic procedures. Heck, even frigates would have pretty large crews if most of the stuff wasn't automated.

Again, I cited Orga as an example because no one seemed to have an issue when he did it. You do now, of course, but at the time no one worried about it. Its also your opinion that its unacceptable.

Dude, dude, dude, dude, dude. No. I did not say that your opinion is unacceptable. Your opinion is fine, its just different. I say "It is your opinion that it is unacceptable." Saying that you think that but I do not. I am not in any way demeaning your opinion.

Alright so if everyone could take a breather here and come back with cool heads? Please? Can we not start some great flame bait and just try to figure out what we can do with the issues Gaser has presented? Please?

Joking about putting a bomb on a plane in the middle of an airport doesn't seem to quite fit the vein of the joking we're talking about, Gaser. As well, there are already plotholes everywhere, thats just how it is. Theres always going to be things that you don't think about, lines of thought you have looked into. Its not a bad thing necessarily. Or at least, its not im opinion.

Again, I cited Orga as an example because no one seemed to have an issue when he did it. You do now, of course, but at the time no one worried about it. Its also your opinion that its unacceptable.

The staff listens to everybody and proceeds to make a decision based upon what they think is right and fits.  I'm sorry, but I didn't see K2 begin to be insulting towards you in the Skype chat we had. Blade was more insulting to you then K2, honestly. As well, the staffs decision has always been a final unless it was just the MOST UNPOPULAR THING EVER like how everyone went against Lyoko recently. Other then that, thats just how sites are run, dude.

Suggestion Box / Re: Seriously?
« on: April 17, 2013, 07:42:50 PM »
Alright, Im wary of posting here because its my character but I'd like to put my two cents in and this does not necessarily reflect the overall staff opinion.

First off, jokes are jokes. Sometimes they're funny, sometimes they're not. Just because they broke the fourth wall doesn't automatically mean that the joke isn't funny. However, jokes can be harmful to people and not everyone realizes the consequences of their actions. That doesn't mean that joking should be condemned.

As well, I should point out that Knowledge doesn't care about power. He's a hedonist, he doesn't want anything more to experience the universe. It would be out of character for him to use the techniques he knows to become an all-powerful uber-being that could destroy all of existence. Its simply not something that he would do. I recognize the concern for power abuse but people are limited to what is logical for the character to do.

As well, Knowledge has never been said to be hardly part of the game. He exists as a potential plot point, particularly with a plot with regards to the Revenge-Zarethian war that Unstellar and I have planned. So, he does have a plan, he does have a purpose. Even topics he was in that are not part of the Revenge-Zarethian war have some purpose that I have looked into as a way of explaining his place there. Usually he manipulates people to his own gains or for his amusement. After the Revenge-Zarethian War I plan on him being removed unless the staff think they can use him.

Orph actually has a good point. I honestly didn't think about it that way. (I believe my issue was how it was explained to me, I thought that he would be able to know about, well, EVERYTHING) However, the thing is that the fourth wall has been broken other times (namely by Orga with his character Sam) and that caused no conflict that I can remember. That being said, if most people are opposed to any fourth wall breaking then the staff will probably listen to such. Before this, the only incident I remember is when I called Hikaru the RPer out for not posting as a joke, which was wrong of me. That prompted the newer "only for a joke; don't abuse" clause. Either way I didn't realize it was such a big issue.

As to the claim that the staff are arrogant elitists, well, I believe that this is entirely false. The fact that you disagreed with staff opinion, which has always (to my knowledge) been the final decision for matters in the site does not make them elitist or arrogant. As well, the staff listen to majority opinion then make a decision that they believe is best for the site and canon, etc. For the remark regarding the minority treatment, well, I believe that if the minority is in opposition to the majority then the majority (in some cases) is right and the minority is wrong. I'll use myself for an example. If I believe that the powers of my embodiement Knowledge work one way, but the rest of the members don't then I am probably wrong. Probably. If I bring it to the staff I let the staff decide. If the staff decide that it is OP then its probably OP and I, the minority, am wrong. This may well be the case, as we shall probably see soon enough.
The fact that you made a disrespectful response was the reason K2 told you to watch your tone, and this has been done by other staff members trying to stop anything that may incite a growth in the argument that may lead to flaming.

There is a difference between staff opinion and personal opinion. A staff member may hold a different view then the rest of the staff but that does not change the staff's overall opinion. This post, for example, is simply my personal opinion and is not the overall staff opinion to the best of my knowledge.

Tàeolus shook his head and smirked, his mirth dying down slightly. This fool was no embodiment of knowledge or common sense, obviously, but he had hoped for a bit of a challenge when dealing with him. Of course, being a Narrikian, they had their merry share of bad luck, what with the DAIS and the Anrufe and now the supposed good guys of the universe, the Zarethians and Vionix. Their misfortune made them such great items to manipulate.

"Yes, I am here to help, yes I know that you don't have you... What do you call it? Magical producing organ? You lost yours and now you're looking for a way to get another. That, though, is not what I came to help you with. The Zarethians and Vionix attacked Memorial, mostly out of spite because they knew that the Narrikian race would be easy to take over. They currently plan to eliminate all the politicians and local officials and then brainwash the rest of the population. They have sent the message to the galaxies that the Narrikians had declared war on the Vionix, and the Zarethians valiantly assisted their allies against the aggressive, imperialistic New Narrikian Empire." As he spoke his voice dripped with sarcasm when he referred to the "valiant" Zarethian attack force and the "aggressive, Imperialistic" Narrikians.

The disguise was so obvious, it was hard to see how people could not see through it. Then again, those people didn't embody knowledge itself.

"You stand no chance against either of them, and the Mechera will join up on their side. You'll have the big three empires all dividing up your people, slaughtering and enslaving them easily. Like I said, you stand no chance against them.... But with the help of my friends and I, you do. All we need from you is some cooperation." He said, shifting his weight around and leaning back slightly, casually.

When Lucien had the nerve to pull out a laser pistol 'sneakily', trying to hide it from his intruders, Tàeolus couldn't help but laugh. The thought that this puny mortal could hide anything from him was, well, laughable.  Tàeolus cocked his head to the side, careful not to touch his cheek to the cold, black form resting its hand on his shoulder.

"Put down the pistol, Lucien. I know your story. I know you don't know what we are because your scanners can't pick out our DNA. I know that you're affected by my friend, here." He said, patting one of Fear's hands gently. "I also know you just stole back the Narrikian fleet, which gives you some measure of power. And you can relax, we're not here to hurt you. In fact, luckily for you, we're here to help."

But Hik, you can just go to the top for the list of recent topics. I'm not entirely sure what the issue is. As for Orph, in an effort to mediate, can you just one big post every once and a while (with pictures being in spoilers) instead of a bunch of little posts? That would probably help the issue.

*shrugs* I don't think its an issue. As I've always understood it, the no double posting usually is meant for IC things. However, I'll check with the other staff and ask them if it's an issue.

Hikaru, you can simply go to the recent posts section up top.  I personally enjoy the cool modding stuff that I'm seeing here. Curse you, Orph for your PC Skyrim. Though, Orph, if you could simply wait and post a bigger group of photos  that might solve the issue.

On the inside of the base, exactly behind Lucien, appeared Tàeolus and with him, the shadowy form of Fear. A brief flash of light signaled their arrival.
"Hello, Lucien. I see you're working on retaking some of your old power." Tàeolus said, smiling amicably. "I think that you have some more things to worry about then simply the DAIS, however." with that, he dropped casually slipped a small orb. It was a Zarethian AT - AP field, just in case Lucien tried to flee. After all, fear was a big factor in that.
