Getting Started / Who is the owner...
« on: April 05, 2013, 12:46:40 PM »
Moving from Shattered Planes the Opposing Kingdoms was the nail in the coffin for me. I've enjoyed a lot of my time here, and I've enjoyed a lot of my creations. However, a few of those creations I'd like to go on using elsewhere. Who should I talk to about regaining copyright over a few of my characters and such?

2. One of my Skyrim characters, but an archer who is particularly good at facing the undead.
3. Tom Cruise

Can I join one of you guys? Pleeeeeeeeeease?

"UGH!" Nigel sighed. Why does this have to take so long?

"This is a large, E shaped building made of black metal and painted with gold tints. It is the home of Zarethian politics with anything concerning the empire politically happening here. The Council meets here everyday to discuss various political agendas, schemes and the like. They also approve new technology and drugs and hand out licenses for various things."

Luckily for Nigel Aliv, the high council met daily in the Heart of the Council. The most important man on that council would not be spending every second of his day conversating with the other members, and would have a room to stay in while there were no meetings going on. Luckily for Nigel again, he had been sent directly to this room by a bored secretary.

Nigel strode up to the door of one of the most powerful men in the universe feeling giddy. Powerful mortals were so quaint! He knocked on the door and waited for a response...

Be alert. The man on the stage right thinks she's putting on a good act. I can't quite say yet weather he's dangerous, but we may be dealing with someone who is very emotionally unstable, K thought to Reyky, turning his mind away from Lewis for a brief moment.

Um, K, listen to them, Reyky responded. They just gave a perfectly fine explanation of why they're here. They don't want this other sect of their religion giving them a bad name. Stop being paranoid, you're going to blow our cover!

Our cover? K thought back. It's your cover that needs worrying. If I slip away as a tiny minnow no one will be the wiser, and no one will assume that I had anything whatsoever to do with you. Don't be afraid of being well informed. And by the way, the guy on your other stage left.

K then redirected his attention back to the cultist Lewis. Now, if there was something tricky going on, K couldn't simply ask without giving himself away. He would have to be more specific, but not to specific, or else the chances of being wrong would also increase the likelihood of him being caught.

My, she's the one who could have been a big shot in showbusiness, K projected. Forget about me, Sally could have won best picture and the desperate fans all at once. I bet they'd never be able to guess our true involvement in the death Amy Jacobs and all the other hand agents.

K tried again, this time stretching out a little further with, I wonder how my life would be different if I was an actor. I've definitely got the looks for it. I would probably be one of those guys girls obsess over and have posters of in their living quarters and stuff. That would be pretty great. Of coarse, there would be thing I like about my life now that I'd have to give up...

Reyky looked over toward the three very attractive young cultists. It seemed strange that they were wearing green to a funeral. And, wait a second, were those fishnets? Gosh. That hardly seemed appropriate. However, Reyky quickly realized he was wearing a caramel overcoat and read scarf. He wasn't going to judge them. Besides, the fishnets were black, right?

K, on the other hand, piped up when he saw them. Maybe it was just him, but they seemed to have a slight twinkle in their somber eyes. It could have been a tear, but K didn't think so. Most of the people who were actually crying had a much bigger twinkle in their eyes.

I'll return in five minutes, K thought to Reyky as he stealthfully slipped out of Reyky's pocket.

Reyky looked out and whispered, "No, K, don't!" but then went back to what he was doing before, if severely agitated.

Over on the left side of the audience sat decorated fighter pilot Salgren Keflavik, and his wife and son. They knew how horrible it could be to loose someone, but if they focused harder on what lay in front of their eyes they'd realize it could be even worse to have them return.

K, the magical fish who had now shrunken himself to the size of a tiny leech, flew into the flowers of the leftmost cultist without being noticed. After waiting a few seconds to make sure no one had noticed him, the fish thought to himself something along the lines of, K's still got it! and then began to examine his flower-guy. It would be good to see what is on this man's mind, K thought. Unfortunately, simply reading this guy's mind would be nearly impossible. If getting in the mind of someone were so easy, Reyky and K would not even be on Tefflin. However, K still had a few tricks up his sleeve.

As he focused his mind onto that of the man in front of him, he communicated one thought to him. It wasn't a normal thought either, it was the vocal equivalent of a whisper. K simply thought, These flowers smell good. The thought was both innocent and quite enough that the cultist should either not pick up on it at all, or think nothing of it. Ks plan was to have this man think nothing of these thoughts, eventually to the point of not realizing he was having a full fledged conversation with a telepathic fish.

Zaigen Yevitt was there on the opposite side of the crowd. He was there to pay his respects. Though he didn't always agree with the Hand's actions, he felt it was important to lend moral support to the Zarethian people in this time of need.

Nigel calmly strut up to the office of vaas Vacon, pretending to have more style than he did. As he walked up, smiling and tugging on the sides of his jacket, he couldn't help but think of the different things he could have done had he not been allowed through. A part of him was disappointed it had been so easy.

Reyky fell into line with the various people carrying the caskets into the graves. He looked rather out of place in his brown coat and red scarf, the only clothes he owned, yet hoped no one would care in this situation.

He rolled his eyes. No wonder he normally just teleported in.

"N-I," Nigel then paused for a second to think about it, "G-E-L Space A-L-I-V."

"Nigel Aliv," he replied, a smile crossing his face. He felt he was very clever, but in all honesty very few others would find it all that clever.

Hangout / Re: Christmas Traditions!
« on: December 28, 2012, 11:21:54 PM »
Christmas Eve is pretty ordinarily until we get to 4:00 or so in the afternoon when we all head to church. I am usually the only one in my family not playing or singing for the candlelight service. After that we go home and get take out Chinese for dinner. We eat it, often enjoying a Christmas movie of some sort as we do. Next we hang the stockings. Lastly, and optionally, we read Twas the Night Before Christmas and the nativity story from the gospel of Luke. This year was great because we were all joking around as my mom read a night before christmas. The climax of our comedy was when we got to the eight tiny reindeer and I put a plush Rudolf on her head. She smacked it across the room, and I have never seen a reindeer fly so fast!

Anyway, back to tradition. TRADITION! sorry. We aren't allowed to go downstairs without my parents, and we aren't allowed to wake them before eight. Waking them before eight is no longer a problem since my younger sister and I are now high-school aged and can sleep till noon. In past years it has been a frustration to my parents who longed to sleep in. One year, when we were very little, my sister and I rushed in, jumped on the bed, clock in hand, screaming, "IT'S 8:00! IT'S 8:00!" My mom then told us that we were holding the clock upside down. We most certainly were not holding the clock upside down. When we go downstairs, we open our stockings, which always has a pen and pad (so we can keep a log of the gifts of those who aren't in the room with us), lots of candy, and an orange (UnStellar, you're not alone). To be more specific, it is a tiny, easy to peal tangerine or clementine that happens to be in season that time of year, and it is probably there because it fits in the toe of the stocking better than anything else imaginable!

After that we have breakfast. It is always something sweet an cinnamony. This year it was a coffee cake my mom was trying out. We also have tiny, easy to peal oranges. My mom and dad also have mimosas (champagne and orange juice). After that we open all the presents for a while, and periodically eat our bits of candy. Usually we also listen to music as well. This year we didn't, and I think that may have been partly due to me and my sister's adverse reaction to the Yule Log. It's weird to have a burning log on the TV sitting across from your real fireplace in the middle of winter. Anyway, after that it's pretty much a toss up. We usually watch a movie that was gifted during the openings.

I know I haven't technically been gone, but I've been really busy lately, and seeing nothing posted that directly applies to me, I didn't really pay much attention. Is there anything important that's happened that I need to catch up on?

This is Thunderscreamer (NIK) by the way

Nigel Aliv was his name, and he was sticking to it. He'd come to far to fail now, and by to far it was roughly twenty-six feet if you take into account that he had teleported. And he had waited so long, unless of coarse you take into account that he filled all those years with great entertainments and fun activities of all sorts, and of coarse all sorts meaning only a few things that would lead you to believe this to be a man of questionable character which of coarse he was.

But that didn't matter right now. Right now all that mattered was that he got to his appointment on time.

As he approached the secretary's desk, he smiled and said, "Hello. Yes I do have an appointment. I'm here to see Addler vas Vacon."
