Lucifer Meets The Last Paxan
« on: June 27, 2010, 04:56:30 PM »
And it was, that a portal equivalent to the likes of that opened in the valley of the Plexan Church, a hellgate, opened in the VIP Observance Deck of the arena, where Lucifer sat in his thrown, watching out a wall of glass onto the fighting platform where Abel and Nisorin were currently fighting. He barely even looked up as two new arrivals entered the room from the gate, but once he felt the presence surrounding K2323, he DID look up.

"Fate.."

"It's been awhile, Lucifer."

"You have merged, twenty-third?"

"K2323 is asleep. I am merely.. getting warmed up to his body."

"So he's the chosen one for your game?"

"Ah, for mine, yes, but I believe one has already been chosen by the other side."

"You mean Kai? I did fear such.. And Hikaru is well on her way to merging with that thin-

"DO NOT TALK ABOUT ARARUS IN SUCH A WAY!" exclaimed Fatet.

"Ah, yes, you are a supporter of him.. In any case, who is this you have brought with you?"

Benjamin stepped in front of fate. "I am Benjamin South. My planet, my people, and the race we existed with... Was destroyed. I want them back."

"And what makes you think..that we'll just hand them over?" A black haired demon questioned from the side of Lucifer, while the fallen angel sat on a throne the demon stood. It was Sakael, something akin to the military leader of Hell. "Hello Fate; I still haven't thank you for that little gift you gave me." Sakael offhandedly mentioned, a small candle sized flame of silver fire danced on his fingers.

Benjamin glared at the demon. "I'm not stupid. I didn't assume that at all. Fate told me there'd be a price."

"Yes, how has my Destiny Fire been treating you?" Fatet asked in reply, glancing around the VIP Observance Deck. "It seems that young Benjamin South here is similar to that very fire. He is unwritten by Fate. A variable."

"Yes, that IS interesting," Lucifer replied, glancing at Benjamin with a sense of.. greed. "In any case, Mr. South, if you'd wish for everyone you loved and ever cared about to not burn in the eternal flames of hell, whipped by demons with thorns of poison, crushed by rocks the size of asteroids, castrated every day, hearts taken for dinne- Oh, excuse me, I'm getting carried away by my own joys. Yes, well, you'll need to give something of great significance in return.. You ARE one of the Paxans, right? Your stench gave it away. There are billions of spirits being tortured right now in by torture pits.."

Lucifer thought long and hard... And then, he realized what he wanted.

"Bring me the dead bodies of K2323 and Kai. K2323 is standing right behind you, and Kai? Kai is somewhere in the audience of this lovely arena. Go and kill them, they're both alive and here in hell, and bring me their dead bodies, in tact, and you shall be allowed your people."

"Absolutely not!" K2323/Fatet spoke up.

"Silence, Fatet. You have no say in this. I suggest you leave quickly, before you break your own rules."

Slowly but surely, K2323's awareness faded as Fatet faded out of his body, he became nothing but an unconscious form.. But the godfire from Koty once again surfaced to his skin.

Damn. The Paxan races did not believe in the spiritual realm. They believed in two cosmic forces in the universe. Fate, and Magic, which lives in you and flows through you and every living thing, and fate drives it down a cosmic path. When you cease existing, your magic becomes one with Fate, which uses it to drive along life. As of such, Benjamin didn't understand Gods and Angels.

He was driven into a harsh decision. On one hand, he could kill this being, and the other, and revive his race, but... It sounded like something was brewing. Some terrible conflict. And... it sounded like both Kai and the 23rd were on the good side.

But, suddenly, Benjamin realized, who defines good or evil? And, if there was single chance it could revive his people, he had to do it. He switched hands with the staff, leaving his right hand free. his sleeves retracted in a slippery swift movement, and his right SPLITTER glove activated. He turned to the unconscious corpse. "It's a deal." Benjamin said, before driving the sharper-than-razor glove at K2323's heart...

And the godfire spat up towards the gloves.. Godfire, a fire with the ability to incinerate anything.. But the fire faded as K2323's eyes opened. And in front of him, he saw an attack coming towards him. In an instant of reflex, the thousand-and-something-year-old sage concentrated on the metal within his enemy's gloves as he casted a spell to slightly melt the metal, bending the blade.

As the glove neared K2's chest the God Fire jumped out to meet it, even though the SPLITTER was a good piece of technology it wouldn't do a thing against God Fire. People always seemed to underestimate the power of the little violet flame, although it was what existence was forged with. It was Creation and Destruction in tangible form, and it was more dangerous then Hell itself. But that wasn't all that occurred, a bright flash of violet followed by a gust of wind which brought about the smoke. Three powerful entities had entered the room, all intending to make sure K2 left it alive.

Ryt, Vincent, and Rogue. The three known sons of Koty, and in their true nature. The four horsemen of the Apocalypse, although one was currently MIA.

"To get to him.."

"You're going to."

"Have to go through us."

"Guys, guys," K2323 looked up at them, "I'm fine, I can handle him myself. I need to warm up before my next fight anyway."

Benjamin took a step back, staring at the melted blades of his SPLITTER glove. "...Do you know how hard it is to get a pair of these?" he said, fuming. His left fist clenched around Last Justice, it began shaking with wild energy. With a scream he unleashed a red blast of raw magic energy, it was big enough to swallow all three of the figures at once.

And the blast of raw energy met a barrier of violet flames and black smoke, without as much as a sound there was a tip of a black-iron lance pointed at Benjamin's throat. Ryt stood there with what appeared to be the Lance of Longinus, but it was darker and less powerful then it's appearance in the between Faote and Koty.

"Alright..but Father will be angry if you die." Rogue relented, the two barriers falling as Ryt backed off.

"Metal Prison!" K2323 shouted. From the floor, metal suddenly appeared, rising and forming a box around Benjamin as an inverse barrier was also formed against the metal, enforcing it.

Benjamin found himself caged, and his xPod powered up. His battle strategy had changed. It was more serene, less chaotic and offensive, a little slower, less focus on overwhelming power at first, more thought into it. He wasn't as bull headed as he used to be. From his wireless head phones, the sounds of Mozart began to calm him. He switched hands again, and used his left SPLITTER, the only one still working, and smoothly twirled around. The well-built nature of the gloves, combined with the experimental sharpening technology, combined with Benjamin's magical enhancement, made it slice through the bars like hot knives through silk. He plunged the top of his staff into the top of cage, flipping it off effortlessly as the bars that kept it together had been sliced. He jumped out, and slammed his staff into the floor, sending a quick shock wave through the VIP box and making it shake unsteadily. He pulled the staff from the ground and sprinted at K2323, only feet behind the shock wave.

K2323 jumped into the air and put up a quick protective barrier which protected him from the enemy's shockwave. He was amazed. The enemy had just broken through his barrier and the metal prison. This was not a weakling.. But a formidable enemy... But K2323 was formidable opponent himself. And he wasn't going to loose to some stranger. It was time to switch from defense to offense, he'd figure out what the hell was going on later.

K2323 opened his mouth wide. Out of it came.. smoke. The smoke formed the shape of a hand and, still connected to K2323's mouth, expanded, charging towards Benjamin's throat.. And Benjamin would find that the smoke could physically grab onto him and lift him into the air like a real arm.

Benjamin stop briefly, using the momentum to swing his staff, sending a powerful gush of wind to blow away the smoke, and then continued to run, the distance growing shorter. He held his staff in his right hand, his drawn SPLITTER glove on his arm dragging behind, ready for a quick striking lunge.

And suddenly, the room was clouded with heavy fog as K2323 teleported away from his previous location, somewhere else in the room. It was almost impossible to see much... Next, a metal pole rose in front of Benjamin which began to attract his glove, the metals inside the glove being called towards the pole to be binded... At the same time, a voice began to call out to Benjamin from all directions; many voices, in fact, perhaps the voices of Paxans.

"Benjamin.. you have failed us.. Benjamin! You have failed us! Allow us to show you what you have done wrong! Let us into your mind!"

The wood presence in the staff made the pull on his right hand less dramatic, but it was still a pulling force, Benjamin grunt as he  tried walking back, but he only managed to delay the pull. Last Justice glowed blue, before creating a blue energy barrier around him, essentially creating a wall blocking the steel pole. Well in the quick sanctuary of the bubble, he shouted, out loud, "This is a trick! You're not getting in my head!" How dare he tried to imitate his fallen kind! To trick him! Benjamin used the anger to conjure another blast of raw magic energy, significantly less powerful than the first, but enough the destroy the pole. He let his barrier down immediately before firing the blast.

Liberated from the attracting force, he turned around, magical energy gathering, he was on edge and looking around like a predator searching for a running prey, until he sensed K2323's magical energy. He began carefully walking in that direction, Last Justice held in front of him in a defensive pose, the still-working motor of the SPLITTER glove making his grip on the staff unbreakable, well his left hand was held out behind him, deadly blades ready to strike.

..And suddenly, K2323 disappeared again, reappearing in another location in the room again as he had felt Benjamin's magic signature approaching.. But now, K2323 spread his magic signature all across the room, so that Benjamin could not trace him. Damn, I didn't want to do this... And so, a wave of magic spread all across the room. K2323's eyes turned pure white as a staff appeared in his hand. He was awakening his Genesis Magic.

In the center of the room, still shrouded by fog, a round ball of smoke began to form.

Having been gone from Hell since her failure to battle. Hikari was now out of disguise, and back to her true form as a dead sage, and angel of heaven. Appearing across the room, and across from Lucifer, she glowed with a radient light as she held up a hand in a timeout gesture, and attempted to give some authority. "STOP!" She commanded. And at her voice, time seemed to stand still, but it was a weaker spell due time being locked, and could be broken easily if someone were to try. The only reason Hikari had it, was due to her status. "From the words of heaven its self, it has been given that this battle is pointless, as Lucifer is manipulating this boy."

As if on cut, the silver halo appeared over her head, and fluffy white wings materialized into existence, showing for the fact, that she WAS an angel of Heaven. "The Paxan's are not in hell, as they never sinned enough to get themeslves here. Lucifer is using you."

"The Paxans," Lucifer finally spoke up, "Are in the Spirit Realm, and I have my means of gathering them. Let the battle commence! You have no say here, angel!"

"You can't just take them, unless they seriously sinned." Hikari replied. "To manipulate this boy, into believing you can, breaks the agreement of who's in control of the dead. If they didn't sin, they cannot belong to you." Glancing over at Benjamin, she pleaded with him. "Please do not believe the lies of this...creature. He lies to use you."

"Everyone sins, angel. Everyone. I am not bringing them here as punishment, but merely taking them and giving them another chance.. That is, after all, something I can do, since they were not meant to die when they did. You know as well as I did that Fatet edited himself to allow for the creation of Xap. Even if he did not realize that all those people would die, it happened. And now, I'm giving them back to existence. It is not against the rules," Lucifer argued.

Benjamin broke the spell keeping him still, but did not show aggression towards the angel. He looked at her, and than at Lucifer, and than at K2323. "I..." He was unsure. The girl could be manipulating him to fight Lucifer, and Lucifer could be manipulating him to fight the girl and her side, which seemed likely, but Fate had told him to talk to Lucifer, but Fate hadn't seen Lucifer trying to kill him coming, so obviously he knew less than Benjamin first thought. Benjamin was a whirlwind of thoughts, and unsure what to do, until he heard them. They were undeniably his race, it was the same sound he heard on the temple.

HELP US. WE ARE BEING TAKEN.

Benjamin looked up. He could sense them, nearby, and their distress. Without a single thought, a red energy glowed around him, and a red portal appeared in the roof. He shot through the portal, and it closed immediately behind him.
