Unfortunately for the Elites, no one had ever said the weapons would act as normal. After a few normal arrow shots, the bow begins to glow brighter than the rest, and the arrows now begin to explode in a shower of plasma the moment it passes within five feet of an Elite Aralang. The Archer absorbs the impact force and uses it to fuel more shots at the Aralangs, while the swordsman's shield curves outwards, spreading the impact force out over a larger area, minimizing the damage done while giving the Archer more energy to fuel his attacks. Verrtsi smirks at the Elites, even as the Pikeman's pike swings out, hooking onto a missile and, quite literally, swinging it back around while emitting a localized EMP pulse to the guidance system, effectively turning it into a straight-fire rocket as it turns back on its creators. Interestingly enough, the Hammer, literally, smashes the missile coming for him with the head of his hammer, which is now mostly separate from the rest of the wall.
"You'll never get through by doing that. Firing your plasma and rockets, you're only fueling both the Second Gate, and the creation of the Third!" Verrtsi calls out to them, magically amplifying his voice to sound over the gunfire and explosions even as he creates new portals to circumvent Ryt's. Just afterwards, he leans up to the Son of Koty, whispering into his ear just loud enough for him to hear. "We're not intending to invade. We're buying time for Hikaru to take ownership of the Outerverse. Please do not interfere."
Celestie, on the other hand, closes her eyes in concentration as she raises the heat around them to swirl like a whirlwind. Converting the heat into a 'heavier,' cooler energy, she begins work on the Third Forbidden Gate, infusing a small amount of her own spirit energy into the ongoing spell.
"Ye Knights!
Don your masks of Magic and Spirit!
Flutter your wings to harness the whirlwinding power!
Ye who bears the name of Life on the wall of blue flame!
Ye who bears the name of Love inscribe a twin lotus!
Ye who bears the name of Guardian, raise your shields!
Ye who bears the name of Orion cast your hands to the stars and call unto them!
Protect those you have given your hearts unto, Third Gate of the Four Court Guardian Knights!"
She sings, the whirlwind blowing to the center of the four Honorable Court Guardians as they step aside and curve to wrap around the rip, revealing the ornately-armored Knights. The First, garbed in massive bone plates with skull pauldrons covered in vines and leaves that glow as bright as the plasma, his weapons massive claws extending from the fingertips of his gauntlets, with razors protruding from side of the bone vambraces. The second, taking position to Life's right, is a woman garbed in a pink crystalline plate mail, rose quartz heart embedded just above the chest like a pendant. She holds two rather strange weapons; small chakrams with no handles, four in each hand and each inscribed with a multitude of glyphs and runes of binding and peaceful sleep. The third takes up position in the middle, a beast of a man with hair reaching halfway down his back. His face covered in scars, he stands at point, twin tower shields extending to cover Life and Love both. His armor, biggest of the Four, shines brilliantly in the starlight.
As the Guardian takes his place, a massive wall of specialized Curicite-Curinote isotope crystal forms behind the Court Guardians, the Beasts rising from the barrier to form into their own, 3D bodies created utilizing the Lisael isotope. They charge through the rip, using the wall's AAM field and their own amplifying properties to survive as they charge the Elites and fighters, the Bear quite literally leaping atop one, creating its own barrier beneath it to forcefully rip open its shields while the Gryphon soars about, picking up Elites before tossing them nearly a thousand yards upwards into the Outerverse's atmosphere, causing them to fall to the ground, flattened by the impact force as Verrtsi hardens the ground beneath their shadows into titanium. The Snake sneaks about on its own, lunging out of the shadows to grab Elites by surprise before swallowing them whole and moving on to the next meal. The Lion takes a much more straightforward approach. Darting around the weapons fire, he leaps atop an Elite and starts tearing away at him with his claws, front and hind while gnawing viciously at his neck.
Finally, as the rest of the Twelve Court Guardians step forwards from the wall, Orion takes his place atop it. Garbed in armor seemingly made from the night sky itself, the man silently pulls back on the empty bowstring before firing at the rip. As the
twang of the string echoes about the area, both inside the Outerverse and the prison dimension, a tiny projectiles looking like a shooting star soars from the bow, landing in the center of one Elite's chest, blowing a hole straight through his armor, and him, to blow through the floor and halfway through the floor of the next level down.
