Normality

"Damn it...damn it!" Chimaru whispered harshly, gripping the bleeding wound in his side. He had run into a gang who wanted money, but turned them down. They started to get aggressive and eventually one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed him. He managed to out run them, but his legs grew weak as the blood pulsed out of his side. He fell to his knees and hunch over, pressing his forehead against the dirt. He rolled onto the opposite side of his bleeding wound and started fading in and out of conciousness. He rolled his head upwards and spotted a figure in the approaching. The figure knelt down next to him, and that was the last thing he saw before he closed his eyes and passed out.

Chimaru opened his eyes. He no longer felt the searing pain in his side, nor did he feel light headed. He looked up and saw a creature with the body of a lion and the head of an eagle, but it also has wings and claws. Chimaru stood up and faced the creature. He put his hand out and patted the creatures head. "Did you save me?" he asked softly. The creature nodded, nuzzling his hand lovingly. He chuckled. "Thank you."

The creature gestured that it wanted Chimaru to get on it. Once Chimaru would get on then it could transport them both to it's home.
