I went to a Retirement Home
« on: August 27, 2010, 02:06:20 PM »
I went to a retirement home today. I hate those places, they make me sad.  :'(
There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew

Seriously, I broke down after talking to a guy who was lying there, and was not even aware of us. It was the saddest thing I've yet to see.

Take care of yourselves. And take care of your elders. Srsly, what ever happened to actually taking care of your parents when they can't take care of themselves? They changed your diapers and fed you, I think you owe them the same treatment.

... Ture enough... but I really don't want that inevitability to happen.

None of us do. But even with the mind of a child, nobody wants to end up in a retirement home. It can be hell there.
