Happy ... Something Day!

Normally, this would be Valentines Day. However, this holiday means a load of different things for different people. For most, it is indeed Valentines Day, where the man must cough up millions of dollars to please his girlfriend by doing various things with her, or in the woman's shoes, they get off scott free and get to celebrate what may as well be an early Christmas.

For some others, today is a day of sadness. Valentines Day has the highest suicide rate every year, no joke. For those families that have lost a loved one or those lost because of this awful day, I wish to share a moment of silence.

Others, a government conspiracy to boost birthrates and kill off those unworthy of reproducing with, again, encouraging either suicide or to find someone. If you don't, then hey, you then have a social stigma assigned upon you by everyone else that DOES have someone to share today with, encouraging your death even more!

EDIT: For the other half of all those that are aware of the holiday, today is Singles Awareness Day! Being forever alone sucks, but here's to hoping you power through!

EDIT3: For... uh... Bronies, it's apparently Hearts and Hooves day. ... Erm...

EDIT4: For Jeebus and quite possibly a lot of other people, it's only Tuesday. :D

For me, this is just a ploy made by Corporate America to get money, so in turn they can use said money to make our lives even more horrible by either lobbying congress to take away more of our freedoms so they in turn can make more money or just rule the world with said money.


Whatever the holiday means to you, I wish you happiness, whether you're wallet is empty by tonight or you end up being alone. We're here for you either way. Happy Valentines Day!

As much as I hate my AP English teacher, she had a really great quote when asked if she and her fiance were doing anything special on Valentines day. She said, "Every day is special for us."

Some guy on the bus was talking about Valentine gifts today. He said he didn't need a gift because he had her. Dat was adorable. And a lot of people had teddy bears.

Valentine's day is just like any other holiday. If you celebrate it, cool. If not, cool. Me? We're going out for our own day, using the money we get back from taxes. Heading to Boston for a weekend, staying at a hotel overnight. What we did for V-day was go to B&N after she got out of work. We cuddled up in front of a bookcase and read manga. Free, besides the like, $2 of gas money it took to get there and back.
