Maintenance
« on: November 20, 2010, 02:21:00 PM »
Hey guys. I'm gonna have to take some time away from the board. This computer has gone to shit. It's so bad it can't even load a youtube video. It's even lagging just from typing this post. So, I'm gonna take some time to work on it, as well as to fix my friend's laptop that won't start.

I'll try to keep you guys updated if you want, and if you really need me to post somewhere, I'll take a break to do it. Beyond that, I've really gotta focus on fixing this pile of crap.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

UPDATE:

(23:27:58) Nisorin: Hey all.(23:28:07) Nisorin: To give you an update, I found out part of what was killing it.(23:28:34) Nisorin: Dad has installed tons of little games and toolbars and shit on his account, which is why I wasn't able to see them.(23:28:54) Nisorin: Unfortunately, they were aaaaaaaall covered in little creepy crawly malware bits. -.-(23:29:43) Nisorin: When I went to run a defrag, it told me I had 1% hdd space, or 1.4 gigs. Which isn't accurate at all, since it's only a 75gb hard drive.(23:29:54) Nisorin: But, I found out why even that's not accurate.(23:30:07) Nisorin: The main drive (C:) is at 47% fragmentation.(23:30:12) Nisorin: C:*(23:30:35) Nisorin: The drivers for my wireless adapter are fragmented to the point where they malfunction, but not enough to cause a BSOD.(23:31:18) Nisorin: The graphics card drivers are similarly messed, as are the hard drive drivers, which explains the inaccurate free space numbers.(23:32:05) Nisorin: So now I'm trying to free up enough space to successfully run a defrag (15%) and once I get that done I can rid this thing of the malware bits.(23:32:29) Nisorin: So far, I've got it to 12% free space. 3% more to go.
