Deathwalker Tech
« on: August 31, 2010, 09:22:57 PM »
There are 4 main types of unique technologies used by the ancient Deathwalker. They can all be generalized as Holograms, Invisashields, Lightning-lasers, and the Magic potions.

Holograms:
Deathwalkers have a very unique kind of tech. A hologram that can touch! The technology is basically a hologram surrounded by an energy shield designs to replicate smooth metal in texture (but they are completely see through).  The shields are never warn by battle damage like a metal is, and are constantly fixing themselves. No AI is involved in this, they just regenerate. The shields however are penetrable, but if nothing is hidden on the inside then it wont matter.
Drawbacks: These Holograms are very Taxing on energy units, and cost a lot to maintain power. Can be a mental strain using one. Technology was destroyed with the Deathwalkers.
Fighters: I will post under the category Ships.
Melee Weapons: A particularly common kind of weapon is a handheald palm-watch projector. Out of your hands morphs a sword, witch can easily be edited to different lengths widths, and Shapes.
Hidden Doors: Comparatively rare was a type of door that was completely unnoticeable because it used this tech. Safes, and other things were made to hide objects of all sorts.

Invisashields:
The Invisashield Technology is fairly simple in concept, but doesn't come in much variety like the Holograms. Normally when you think about something being invisible, you think of something you cant see with your eyes, but these shields are invisible to your touch. Projectiles can and will pass through them, and whatever is hiding behind the shield. Melee attacks also may pass through. Certain attacks/weapons are unaffected by the shields (but they are extrinsically rare). They commonly conform to the shape of whatever they are cloaking. These may cinclude Bases, ships, and even individual soldiers. The only problem is the bigger the item it is being cloaked, the harder it is to cloak.

Lightning Lasers
Basically a lightning bolt, but shot like a bullet. Think of it like a big ball of electric plasma (well sorta). If it hits something, it will cause a huge burn, and a hole. If it passes something that is a conductor of electricity, than electricity can spark off onto it. It can be devastating to computers, or other things that run on electricity. This is the only kind of Deathwalker firearm. The handheald guns are designed with a trigger in the normal place, and one in the back. This way only a Deathwalker can shoot it using 1 hand (they have a total of 9 fingers per hand if you count thumbs). The main drawback of these weapons is they eat up energy really quickly if your not careful. You can get about 6 or 7 shots before reloading.

Magic Potions
These potions are a combination of magic and chemical mixtures that you inject yourself with. While this comes in many varieties and kinds, only a few are important. They can be labeled as specietic, adrenal, energizeanistic, and royal potions.
Specietic: This potion is considered to be one of the most painful potions in the universe. This potion literally changes your anatomy. It uses some DNA from other species to replicate and morph whatever species into a Human, Zarethian, Arlang, or any species (depending on witch specietic potion you have). After a few months the change will reverse to the  organism's original form, due to the fact that the original DNA remains, but is soddenly hidden behind other DNA. Usually this hides this from magics, but not always.
Adrenal: This potion doesn't involve much magic. It is mostly just the Deathwalker adrenalin. It will help heal a Deathwalker of serious energy, or give them extra energy. It is usually used medically. The only big problem with this potion is if an organism takes it, and their anatomy is not similar enough to a Daethwalker's, it can make them brain dead.
Energizanistic: This one, to be quite honest, electrocutes you. To be more specific, it makes the natural electrical systems in your body hyperproduce. Suddenly your body is creating lots of excess electricity, witch can be drained, and stored. This is one big way the Deathwalkers produce energy. This process is rarely used, and usualy only when the Aflix is running low on energy. Some of the daring warriors inject themselves so they can have unlimited ammo, but most cant use up enough electricity without dieing from electrocution.
Royal: This is the rarest of all the magic potions, and by far the most magical. It only occurs once a lifetime. This literally puts all the magical ability into his successor. This way the leader will always have the supreme magical abilities.
It is made from the dead flesh of the past leader, and the living of the new leader. If the leader flesh is not dead or the successor flesh doesn't mach whats in the potion, the injected will immediately die. No exceptions. This holds the best of an entire species's magical abilities developed over the billions of years they have existed. After the successor receives his abilities, the body of the past leader is traditionally cremated, then thrown into the Aflix, so no more may be forged for an entire generation.

The Aflix
The Aflix is basically a giant ball of energy that continues to grow. all the time. Deathwalkers found it, so it doesn't technically count as one of their technologies. They don't even know what it really is. The Deathwalkers have to be careful, because if they use to much energy it may run out. The Deathwalkers don't know what will happen if it runs out, but they don't want to find out. The Deathwalkers think it is some kind of religious artifact, and that's why they send their dead into it.
The Aflix is the other end of a rather unique worm hole. If you tried to travel through it, you would be converted directly from matter to energy. If you were crazy enough (and had the right kind of magic/tech) you could try going through it, but no one knows where the other side is. In fact some strange creatures have come through and been destroyed by the startled Deathwalkers, but it was very rare.
After their planet was destroyed by their sun going supernova, the Deathwalkers flew out into space, almost hopeless. They just by chance happened to come across the Aflix. They then used both magic and hologramatic shields to secure it in the Underworld (their main ship). The one who was leader at the time knew it was something fixed in space, so he flew the ship around it and changed the fixed points from points in outer space, to points in the ship. They have ridden off it's energy for the rest of their days.

Deathwalker Ships
There are 3 real kinds of ships in the Deathwalker fleet. The Underworld, the Apparitions, and the Gargoyles. All of these terms are slang. I will add complete descriptions later.

Name: The Underworld/Tartarus (varies between legends)
Class: Titan
Type: Demolisher
Intended Use: The Deathwalkers' homeworld was destroyed when their sun went supernova, so as well as being a super powerful warship it also function as their home. It has invisashields on it, but it's to big for them to cover the whole thing. it is shaped somewhat like a thick cressant, but can transform into a spherical stealth mode.
Size: Predemolished Earth (in stealth mode it is noticeably smaller than Earth)
Alliance: Deathwalker
Amount: 1, This is a single ship, not a ship design.

Name: The Gargoyles
Class: Fighter
Type: Semi-hologram
Intended Use: Milti-purpose fighter. It is basically a cockpit with guns and engines that are attach to it by robotic appendages. A one of there special hologram protectors (see in technology section) comes equipped. It is designed so it can change holograms, to optimize space-flight, atmospheric flight, and if you will hydrosphereic flight
Size: Varies from around 16 to 36 feet
Alliance: Deathwalker
Amount: The legends describe hundreds or thousands (depending on witch you hear)

Name: The Apparitions
Class: Corvette
Type: Cargo Transporter
Intended Use: Transport of supplies and lifeforms between planets/stations.
Size: From the size of the Biltmore house to the size of downtown LA
Alliance: Deathwalker
Amount: about 70

Name: The Apparitions
Class: Frigate
Type: Cargo Transporter
Intended Use: Transport of supplies and lifeforms between planets/stations.
Size: From the size of the Biltmore house to the size of downtown LA
Alliance: Deathwalker
Amount: abou t70

The empire wasn't even approved yet. How can you request tech before having the empire?

That and how do the hidden doors hide themselves?

And Hik, its ok to have stuff on hand for when an empire is about to be approved.

... You do know that anyone with the least bit of magical talent could reveal that it is fact a door, right?

If they notice it. Someone with magical talent would at least have to think about it if they wanted to reveal that it was a door. More like an entrance, anyway if they don't know anything about it, they wont be looking for it! It's not like as soon as they land on a planet with one they are like, "There's a hidden door 1,050,380,348,509,457.9075873289456 miles away from here."

I mean like if its in the same room. They could of course sense it. If they are a high level mage, or even a level 3 they could sense it.

Everything approved, but bear in mind you have to request individual ships, to represent actually building the ships, training the crew, etc.
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

I did, but Zak then quickly told me they had to be requested here first.

This is basically where you request the blueprints, so we can make sure nothing's godmodding. Once you've got your two approvals for the blueprints, you're good to start making them.

probably just the way it was stated in the request, unless another nation reverse engineers it for their own purposes.

0k. The only idea I have on using it anytime soon needs another character, and I won be able to request him for another week. Hes one of three more (and due to where my other charicters are, the one that can wait).
