Specialization
Having a greater understanding of any subject of information will allow you to use this information more thoroughly in battle. It is important not to limit yourself. This applies both in and out of specialization. While there are many weaknesses in specialization, if done right, it will assure victory in battle. Specialization is a good tactic for battle.
If you go overboard, you'll turn out like the Anrufe. Take Chaos for example. He almost always limits himself to fire in battle, and fire-based attacks, while he is perfectly capable of using other attacks. Fire is what he is strengthened in. The problem is, if you focus too much on one subject, someone with water will easily win against Chaos.
Not specializing also can be disastrous. Hawkeye seems to have grasped this fact and tries to overcome it with ideas such as Negion Magic, though he needs to work on WHAT he specializes in. Someone with basic magic going up against Rogue, someone with Corruption Magic, will easily be defeated. If someone who does not specialize in any spells goes up against someone who is an expert in a certain kind of magic, they will often find themselves easily outmatched.
So, the trick is finding the balance. We don't want you to be too specialized in a certain field of magic, to the point you rely on it. But we also want your character to have enough understanding in a certain kind of magic so that they can defeat another person who is specialized in another kind of magic. As I said before, your character seems most fit with fire, in addition to spell circles and vials/potions. So, your character would be very good against someone who specializes in Jikore or someone with Earth abilities.
You've got to learn to use the things you specialize against more than just those types. Against the types that would likely be strong against whatever you specialize in. You've naturally got better talent at this, because you've got more than one thing you specialize in.. I'm not telling you to make your character only use fire. I'm telling you to learn how to use fire against others who normally wouldn't be effected by fire. Take water for example.
How would you use fire against water?
