Biography:    
A single ship holding a youth crash landed on Earth decades before anyone had invented most of the entertainment earth had. It crash landed near a monastery in Japan. There the pod was opened and inside a sleeping 5 year old was found. The youth was taken in by the monks at the monastery who had learned to unlock the energy of their bodies, and the energy of their minds. Little did they know what the youth was not, namely a human. No the youth happened to be far from human.  And in fact he was not a youth at all. But rather a warrior blessed by several old council members with the ability to live many life times, now only being the latest. Raised by the monks from 5 years old on he was trained in their ways. This group of monks happened to have fighting prowess beyond normal humans. In a sense they were evolved past the normal limits of the human race. It took a while but he mastered 17 styles of martial arts in just a year. Knowing there was something special about the youth they pushed him. His opponents and fights grew tougher as he grew stronger both mentally and physically.   

After a long time the monks had nothing more they could pass onto him. Except of course for the armor that had been assigned to them to protect until someone came who was powerful and honest enough to protect the armor from the wrong hands.  The armor as a result would be given to him as he had proven himself in both of those categories.  On graduation day he took the moniker Shrike to signify his mastery of the arts and his skill at combat.   Eventually he watched television for the first time and took an interest in the shows that involved superheroes made by DC, and the comics made by them. One key thing he learned was to hold every ounce of his power in reserve, and keep his energy signature from being detected by others. Reading a lot of the comics, and noticing the crime rate all over the planet well he decided something had to be done about that. So he went to work and used his skills which he did not know he had to invent a suit for himself. The suit was more like a shinobi outfit with a utility belt and a samurai helmet added to it for good measure.  Fighting crime in various cities, killing the king pins and mafia bosses with his bare hands, Jonathan managed to do some good.

 


Eventually though everyone realizes that some things just are not meant for them in life and for Shrike, the hero business was one of those things. It had been proven that he was too brutal to be a hero and so he hung up the costume of Shrike, donning a more mercenary oriented version of Shrike.  Inspiring many mercenaries and vigilantes he decided that remaining on earth would do no good. So he cobbled together a ship from the scraps of his, and Nasa technology as outdated as it was it did the trick. He got into space safely and without much harm to himself. Finding another ship he forced the crew except for the captain and the chef to leave the ship. Of course he let them live, sending them to where he used to be on earth. Now loose in the galaxy he seeks to make a name for himself as the most powerful mercenary out there.

The blade when in his hands ignites with a kind of red energy field around it. Some say this is due to the quartz crystal inside of it but others say this is due to him adding a powered field technology to it.  But really he has not added powered fields to this weapon yet.

It was found by him in the ruins of what he assumed to be an undersea colony on earth. The tech there seemed so advanced and he couldn?t help himself. What he did was take this from there. It does have summoning capabilities and actually summons creatures that he imagines from his own mind. The creatures know everything that he knows and follow his orders.

This bow was given to him by the ones who trained him. Any arrows when fired from this bow become beams of energy that pierce the target clean through and leave a hole that is thinner than that of an arrow. This is of course one of his favorite weapons.
 

Equipment:    He has a couple of pendants that he wears. Also on his left hand you can see a ring that he wears with a ruby embedded inside of it. In this he has stored the power he could spare from himself over the years, so he will have a reserve.

Um...Aren't the Narrikans basically evolved humans? So how exactly would he have been there...Before Narrikans really existed?

Let me rephrase that. He was there before they learned about their abilities, which took place a couple of centuries before the Anrufe even attacked earth. So, he was one who was here at the time of the invention of DC comics.

Well he has been training for a while. The .5 means that he has a bit more strength than normal Narrikians would at their disposal.
