(cont)...as the light had caused minor burns on her skin. A look of horror crossed her face, and she felt like she was gonna throw up. She had to get home, she knew that much...But how? She'd have to wait until nighttime, she decided.
Once night had set, she caustiously walked out into the open, and seeing as how she didn't burst into flames, she made her way home. She unlocked the door to the house, and went inside, closing and locking it behind her. She ran into her bathroom, and saw herself in the mirror. Pale as ivory, and she now had fangs. She looked at her hand, and realized the burn was gone, already completely healed. She looked around, and thought out loud,"Wait! I cant be a Vam...Vam...Whatever, I have a reflection! They dont have reflections, right?"
She lost herself for about a minute of momentary denial, before realizing that she still had the marks on her neck, the sun still burned her, and, most of all, she still had fangs. She sighed, reflection or not, she was still a bloodsucker, plain as pie. Well...She'd have to make the best of it, she thought. She heard a knock at her front door, and went to check. She saw Tim and Sammy, two of her best friends, and they nearly burst into tears with relief after she opened the door. She found this odd, and asked if they were alright. Sammy responded that they were so worried when she hadn't answered the phone for two days, that they just had to check in on her. She let that sink in before responding. Two days...She'd lost two days. She decided not tell them the truth, and instead said she was sick and had been in bed all day. That seemed to be enough for the two, and after wishing her well, they left.
She changed all her plans. Nothing soon, and nothing during the day. would've goe well, but during the week she suddenly got a intense thirst and hunger. It didn't take long to figure what it was. She hit her head on a wall and almost cried. (cont)
