To respond to this discussion, I realize that sages and technology do not mix, but I guess the point of my character isn't so much to combine magic and technology for one superpowerful character, more as a means of fighting and using spells, think of them as prosthetics, like for example, the only technology Jedis use is lightsabers and Luke gets a prosthetic hand, so even in the case of a society where technology doesn't mix as well, it coexists as an aid, not a weapon (except for the case of the lightsaber.

But the thing is. Most sages could have regrew the arm, mended it, or even found another method right away. On SP we're not really limited in losing body parts if we have magic.

Regrow it later in life? Magic works wonders.. If the doctors can use stem cells of your own to save your life IRL. I think magic could telly our DNA and crap and regrow you an arm.

If this is really gonna be that big of a freaking deal then I'll change it, if you are picky then fine. It doesn't say anything about metal. Just tech. I'm probably just gonna scrap my character possibly. I didn't think there were so many rules lol it's like I can't go to sleep without asking you for permission. I understand there are rules and regulations, but I heard a bunch of people already say that some sages use tech. But w/e

Hik, in the races it doesn't say ANYWHERE that sages can't use tech, or hate it, and says nowhere that I must be approved to be a sage, just have my character approved.

What I am denying you on, is the fact sages aren't that weak.

There really isn't anything stopping a Sage from regrowing lost limbs at a mere thought, especially at level 5...Thats like 'Kill a army by yourself' kind of power, at times. Well, that might be a bit of a exaggeration, but Im fairly certain its happened before in the RP.

Im not calling sages weak, it's the image of my character, he is a guy with arms like Edward from full metal alchemist, but instead of one, he has two. It's not a rip on sages, its just the way he is period. I will describe the military thing still though

Hik, youre the only one saying that he is calling sages weak. It's his choice wether or not he wants a technological arm. If you think that's calling sages weak, then that's your problem. That's the beauty of this game. To make what ever character you want and play its life out how you want to. If a sage wants tech, that fine. If an aralang wants magic that's fine too, but my point is, your reasoning is biased... the way I see it, and I'm sure kaleb will agree, his character made the choice... and who are you to say that he couldn't take that choice. I've said it over and over and over and over and over again. THE damn bio doesn't make sense. If IRL we can fix arms to an extent. Then fast foreward to the future in SP now. Magic, tech, doesn't matter. An arm could be regrown, mended, or some other method. So then why would he go technological arms just because they got ripped off or wtf-ever?

Sure, he can choose to. But the bio doesn't make sense when we've advanced far enough to where one wouldn't need to IC. This isn't FMA where the only choice available is to give a fake limb.

NOW let's take it to the fact you made him a sage. EVEN MORE. Sages could mend in arm in a second or regrow it without any effort at all. Child? Who cares? Magic could fix it.

Sure... he COULD have mended them, but he didn't WANT to. I can work out the discrepancies with him in private, but it doesn't matter how advanced we are. Tepper drinks stuff from the 20th century. Some of my soldiers still use M-14s.. why? Because they CHOSE to.

Regina you don't get the point of the freaking character, yes magic could regrow then, but, THAT'S NOT WHAT HAPPEND, how about this, you can just MAKE my character for me, I make one freaking decision about how i want my character to be and you shoot it down because, thats not what a sage would do, who says sages all think the same, what if he chose to get robotic arms, I say this is bullcrap because in no way will this cause god modding, the fact that it isn't what you would have done doesn't even phase me, if you make this character then regrow then arms, my guy has bionic arms.

Uh...Hik? I control the Chimera Sages, so not ALL would be in the Sage dimension. At least a few would be scattered throughout the dimensions, at least, considering that Cero was possessed on Earth, so...Its feasible, at least concerning uninfected Sages, if its a Chimera.

There's no reason why Ineshi couldn't have been outside the Sage Dimension at the time, like I'm sure a great deal of Sages are by now. As for the arms, why not just have him RP it out? Or perhaps he was testing a new technology created by a friend/client? Sure, that doesn't solve the actual racial bit, but that's depending on a discussion between you and K2 to resolve the misunderstanding.

I offer my approval on this character, pending that the reason why he has the mechanical/technological arms rather than magically regrown/construct arms is revealed through roleplay within a reasonable amount of time.
