Exodus Magic
Origin: The true origin of Exodus Magic is unknown but it was found by Sirius Blade inside of a cave upon a desolate sphere in the exact center of the Outerverse. The Chain of Exodus was found upon a pedestal made of a strange type of silver stone that glowed faintly with the light of millions of microscopic runes inscribed upon the surface. Upon taking the Chain, the entire sphere collapsed upon itself and vanished from existence.
Where to Find: Exodus Magic can only be used by those that hold the Chain of Exodus, a very powerful artifact that gives the user the ability to use Exodus magic. If the chain were to be cut in half by any means however, the two lengths grow into separate Chains and therefore two users can use Exodus Magic but this hasn't been done yet and is in fact unknown.
Price to Use: The price to use Exodus magic is that once it is taken by a user, it will whisper to them. If they accept the magic, they must pour their blood on the chain and it will entwine around the limb that the blood came from before digging in. Once accepted, the Chain will give them a certain amount of time and a task, should they fail the task or the time runs out, the user of the Chain will die. Now Sages should be able to reincarnate to escape this but no, this Chain forces the spirit to go through true death and as such, it cannot be avoided, even by those who can manipulate time or reincarnate.
Background: The Chain of Exodus is not only a chain in looks, many eons ago when the Perfect created the magicks, Exodus was known as the Binder or the Lock. It didn't just have the physical look of a Chain but also a metaphysical presence that acted like a chain as well.
This Metaphysical state meant that it held together something but so far there are only theories, these things had been created but Exodus held them together, all but a few select others of their class. The Chain kept them together but only in a metaphysical sense, but not physically.. So someone could've found the physical representation but it wouldn't have done anything at all.
This ties in with the second thing that Exodus done, it was a magnet and lodestone for magic. It attracted loose magic and power from all around it, anything that wasn't in use and just took it in, absorbing it and keeping it around. Now it would've done the same with the more powerful magicks but it couldn't, it simply didn't have the ability to but it could absorb other magic easily.
Then it was found, the Chain was found on a Pedestal and surrounded by a strange series of floating orbs, all of different colours and shades. The Chain was then taken by Blade and the Metaphysical binding that kept the things held together was broken. All of the subjects were cast away and to their physical forms to be used by others and Exodus lost its ability to gather magic.
At the same time that Exodus was taken, a massive magical pulse was sent out across all of the dimensions, it was a call that not only was Exodus able to be taken but the other things it held together were able to be taken and used by others and many heeded the call although not all of the items have been found yet. It was only a matter of time though until they were and then... who knows what could happen.
