 Personality:
This eccentric Phoenix Sage has a rather detached personality. His only care in the world is observing his experiments, maintaining current ones, and dissecting anyone who interests him enough. Science and magic to Sliph are mere tools to express what he views as "Possibility" and for him to deny possibility is almost a sin. He enjoys anything that even remotely intrigues him, and has a tendency to go through with an idea that comes into his head, regardless of its affect on his personal safety.


The lifetime of a Phoenix Saga has not had much an impact on Sliph's personality. He still has that childlike calmness to dealing with everything in the world. To him, even entertainment is an experiment to hold and dissect metaphorically. He follows his gut to such an extent that he rarely bothers to process things logically, he is just looking to give life to that next, "possibility."

Biography:
Sliph was born to two Phoenix Sages whose names have been lost to time. However, whatever the circumstance Sliph's egg found itself drifting in the void of space near a proto-star nebula. When it came time to hatch, Sliph was confused of just what and who he was. For a long time he just drifted in his true form, admiring the proto-star.

Until on a whim, he tried to analyzed the powers he felt inside his body, with instinct alone he teleported to a strange world. Everything one it was out to kill him. The beast of this world injured him many times, even in humanoid form, restlessly he was fascinated with these vicious creatures, tearing apart their bodies in attempt to understand what made them tick.

For a long time he lived on this world, living through a couple extinction events Sliph left the world bored of it. For a time he let his instincts guide him to new worlds, only spending maybe a decade or two on each on. Dissecting and cataloging its creatures and inhabitants. Before this world two bored him.

On chance alone he came across another Phoenix Sage on one of these worlds, this Phoenix Sage for a time instructed him on what he actually was, and instilled the finer points of magic in his head. But boredom sunk in, and he tried to dissect his fellow Phoenix Sage, obviously this put some complication on their time together and had to part ways.

Then, after another long millennia an idea came into his head. He looker tirelessly for the proto-star nebula of his birth. Only to find it was not a start, with a number of planets orbiting it. Sliph took this as a sign, and from all he had learned about the workings of life, began creating new and strange manners of life on a small rocky planet.

One of these life forms would later be called "Marid." However, that is not the only race of sentient being that are the result of his experiments. For most of history, Sliph has observed and modified his experiments. The entire ecosystem of a small rocky planet was his own.

Until the power of an unstable experimental spell cause this rocky planet fold to a close orbit of its star. In reaction to this Sliph created magically, what is know a gaseous giant as protective shield of a now dement rocky planet. The Marid and other Djinn sub-races being the only thing left active on the gaseous giant, being able to survive in the high-pressure environment.

For a long era, Sliph has slept in the magical stasis that he created to protect the body of his experimental work. The world that now lies at the center of an artificial gas giant. Will the sleeping madman wake?
