I'll try it...
« on: February 03, 2010, 08:33:54 PM »
Suddenly, Zakary awoke in a dark forrest. He looked around, confused and disorientated. He remembered this forrest. The ground and grass were pitch black, and the trees were thick and winding; their leaves a light purple. The it hit him like a boulder flying down a cliff: this was were he and Sara often went to escape the others and to enjoy each others company alone. he got up and brushed dirt off his black coat and ruffled his black hair, of the same color as the ground, to make sure it wasn't too straight. What about Sara? He asked himself, Where is she, or is this but a dream? He pondered over that for about five mintutes until a beastly shape came out of the myriad of trees. A Vorskan, a black wolf, one possessed by a demon. The beast transformed into a shape akin to that of a human, albiet a beastly one. "Who are you Human?" It asked in a raspy snarl of a voice. "Why have you come? IS it because of the girl?"
"Girl? What girl?" He asked sharply worried for whoever the girl may be. The Vorskan often killed lone people they found and feasted upon their remains. "Where is she, Beast? And I am no human."
The creature snarled, " Fine, I will take you to her, but I have not feasted nor touched her." The beast turned back into a wolf and lumbered off into the distance.
Zakary let loose a growl of his own, but his of frustration, due to his lacking of answers at the moment. Then he followed the beast deeper into the forrest layer.
He found the beast leering what looked like the body of a young women. Her skin as pale as snow, a sharp contrast to the black that surrounded her. She had black feathery wings, crumpled and twisted in sad, unnatural angles. He looked around the beast and saw the face. The face of his Sara, he blood seeping from a small wound from her forehead. No! No! This cannot be true! His very being was in agony, his love. How? How could this have possibly happened?
The Vorskan looked to him, a worried glance, he thought for his mind was numb.
"Human? Do you know this one?" It asked gruffly.
"I told you, I am not human." Zakary said in a queit tone. "But to answer your question, yes I did know her... Very well in fact."
"I know who did it." The beast said, shaggy head shaking wildly.
"Who!?" Zakary thundered, turning toward the beast and accidently engulfing his whole right forearm in plae blue flame.
"Another magic user, with red hair and he is close by, Fire Arm." It answered.
"Where?" He asked, eager to destroy the one who destroyed his love.
"Here." A sharp, condescending voice said from behind.
Zakary whirled around to confront the foe, only to see him leaning on a tree holding a leaf.
A low chuckle emminated from the figure, clad in all red, with a leathery jacket and pants. "Do you not recognize me?" The figure asked in mock concern, "I am deeply, deeply hurt." Another laugh escaped its throat. "I, your friend and companion on Elemora."
That word jogged somethig in Zakary's memory. "Kislev?" He asked shocked by the possibility.
The figure clapped mockingly. "Yes! Of course! Now you notice! I have slain your beloved, Traitor, and you shall soon join her! But I willl be merciful, and let you get ready, then you will die by Versok, trial by fire, for your betrayal."
Zakary's mind burned with an unstoppable rage, he cared not for answers now for he had lost his light.
He gritted his teeth, "I am no traitor, for no one came to stop my leave, and there are no laws against it!"
"Then you still betrayed your people."
"Enough talk, monster." Zakary said through gritted teeth, his anger ever increasing. "We solve this now."
The man shed his coat and withdrew a dagger and threw it into a tree. Zakary shrugged off his trenchcoat and tightened the bands around his feet again. Finally he straightened and let loose his overwhelming anger. Blue flames of fury left his hands at will as he jumped to the left, hoping to flank his foe. Kislev jumped sideways and ducked under Zakary's fireballs, shooting out two of his own. Zakary met the red flames of his enemy with his blue ones and the fire stopped. Both forces billowed away, neither able to gain the advantage. Maker h-he's strong! He thought grimly. Think of Sara! it was this that kept him strong.
Zakary let the flames die then jumped into the air, propelled by fire shooting from his arms produced by his incantation. Kislev jumped and, when he was at level with Zakary, shot flames from his mouth. Zakary was just able to dodge, shooting under the flames and engaging Kiislev in close combat with his flaming fists.
They exchanged blows and Zakary was able to hit him five time with  his fist then spin side kick him in the Solar Plexis. While he was dazed Zakary elbowed him in the face and recieved an uppercut in return. Zakary shot lighting from his arms to engulf Kislev, attempted to dodge but was unable to. Kislev's screaming form fell the fifteen feet to the ground and landed witha dull crunch.
Zakary looked down at his fallen foe, his anger receding somewhat, but his loves face still vivid in his mind. He landed, his hair ruffled from the fight and his clothes singed and burnt.
"Kill me now and end my suffering." Kislev said coughing, a racking heave that shook his entire body.
"I would make you suffer, but she would of disaproved." Zakary said in a bitter voice. "Instead I will end you here and now." With that he summoned a massive lightning cloud to engulf that area, and took the Vorskan to the other side of the planet.
"Thank you." He said gruffly.
"It is no problem." it replied.
Then it all went black.

There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew
