Caliph is a relatively young Marid, so he is both brash and reckless with a touch of suicidal overconfidence. The counter to this, is that Caliph is also calm and collected in his thinking. His actions normally speak volumes of insanity, however there is always an chain of logic to his actions. Caliph principle obsession is dissection, both mentally and physically, the inner workings of other species fascinate him. With a cruel streak for those that are not Marid, he has no sense of ethics in regards to other species and races, almost as if he thinks they?re his playthings.

However, for his fellow Marid he hold an almost fanatical respect for, and is willing to go to great lengths to ensure their survival. This trait of loyalty to his fellow Marid helps him in his duties. He has a number of occasion melted this trait into a single sense of actions. His loyalty to the Marid, his tendency to absurd actions, and calm strategic planning coming together into one directive of choices..

Biography:Caliph has been a young figure in the politics of the Marid collective, being a youngling that is not even a thousand Terran years old it is considered only due to his genius as a commander that he now captains a Frigate for the collective, and is the Operational Commander of a small Fleet. His off Homeworld experiences are limited but so it the majority of the Collective. Caliph has studied many fields of military thought and is a trained Strategist. This Marid has an obsession with the military mind of different races and will infiltrate a military just to study how their thinking works. Over the years he has been the only Marid to promote active conquest for the Collective, however his views on this matter are on the fringe of Collective opinion.

Caliph has  distinct desire to prove himself as a military commander and hopes to bring the Collective to a new height in knowledge. Stickly speaking, he is probably the most ambitious of the Marid. Seeking new ways to infiltrate other species. In this he has used his Fleets budget to research new ships for his fleet. These city sized Frigates are now part of his plans.

Caliph is young, but maybe he will show to be a great new water to the Collective. Maybe he will burn out and cause the loss of many Marid?s ability to ever make it home. Who knows. One thing is for certain, he will do some crazy things before he is through
