Inari vs Nek(Friendly)
« on: February 12, 2012, 05:44:58 PM »
Silver light filled the darkened room as three figures appeared, two touched down on a flat plane as one appeared in a large seat watching them.
"Brought you both here for a little friendly match." A voice piped up from the figure in the chair "Figured it'd be fun to see how you both fight eachother. Basically just take eachother on, it'll make for good training. Don't worry about killing eachother, me and the Citadel will be making sure neither of you can die here."

One of the figures on the plane was infact the apprentice, Inari "Uhm..." She muttered, drawing her blade "Okay I guess, so long as I can't really uh... Hurt Nek" She looked to the figure on the other side of the plane, waiting for his consent too.

"Hell. Yeah."

In an all too swift movement, Nek had pulled his handgun, locked and loaded. Boom. boom. boom. Three shots were fired, but the bullets didn't seem to come out of the gun. As soon as Nek pulled the trigger, he put his gun away and waited...

Inari terrifiedly flinched, but noted the bullets never left. She took her fellow apprentice's sudden assault as confirmation to go for it, running forward at breakneck speeds. She smiled, slashing at his chest.

However; as Inari rushed Nek, preparing to swing, the bullets suddenly appeared right in front of her, retaining their speed and force. He hadn't sent it forward in time as that was a high level skill he did not yet possess, but he had shifted them into an alternate reality before bringing them back now, at just the right time. She wouldn't have much of any time to dodge the bullets, but at the same time as they reappeared, just in case, he began to speed up the pace of the bullets.

While the bullets collided with Inari, she faded into orange smoke. It'd been a magical illusion she had frozen time and swapped with. Now the question was, where was she? This was the one advantage Inari had over Nek, while he was a greater tactician she was a better mage.
As if out of nowhere, Inari dropped behind Nek; Slashing again at his back.

As Nek felt the breeze of the incoming blade, his eyes grew wide, his hand reaching behind him to grab the blade. Was he really that stupid? Surely, the blade would cut off his hand.

Inari actually shook a little when the blade got too close to Neks hand as she stopped it. She still wasn't fully comfortable with assaulting her friend properly. She disappeared again, this time dropping a small ball of fire on the floor.

Nek muttered to himself. She hadn't taken the bait. Sighing as she dropped the ball of fire to the floor, Nek began to rewind the ball back to it's base components of magic before turning his head, anticipating another attack. He pulled out his gun once more, pointing it to the ground, and fired. This time, a bullet came out, but half way to the ground, it seemed to freeze.

Inari hadn't much experience in Templar Arts but she had enough to keep the ball of fire from rewinding as it hit the ground and started to spread. She appeared once more on another side this time blasting a pulse of air into Nek, hopefully pushing him down.
