Akida Coldwell (The Demon of the Souls)
« on: April 11, 2012, 02:25:20 PM »
Character Name: Akida Coldwell

Age: Very Old. Age hasn't been confirmed.

Gender: Male

Race: The race really is unknown. It is very old but not older than the Sages. Though old enough it was never documented or spoke of. No one can really determine what he was without witnessing his past first hand to understand what he is now.

Appearance: Shadow man who has a dark aura all around him. Though his looks can change since he has the ability to jump from person to person (Can't jump into the body of other characters. As example, he could jump into a guard's body, but he could not jump inside Hikaru's body.)

Alliance: None

Personality (one paragraph minimum): Akida has been around for many years. Many call him the destroyer of worlds. He has no morals other than he just wants to watch the universe burn. He loves ponies and kittens. He plants flowers on a normal basis and hopes they will grow to be big and tall. Then on his weekends he burns people on a stake just because he can.

Combat Level (Average of magic level and physical strength. If you don't know what to do here, don't fill it out and the staff will help you.): Very Dangerous
- Magic  Level: 5
- Physical Strength: 2

Character's History (Minimum 3 Paragraphs): Though Akida doesn't really do much battle he really can't die on most levels. Akida himself is a dark shadowy force inhabiting a body or a host would be more correct. When the host is destroyed or dies he waits many years before taking another host. He is responsible for the destruction of many planets.

His greatest power is his ability to corrupt those with his power and draw out evil from inside their hearts and turn there morality to evil. It could possibly be reverted though none have ever managed. Akida was more than likely responsible for the creation of the Dark Logan who K2 and Logan fought many years ago though this cannot be proven.

Based on Akida's "turn coat" power he can make people evil. But it would not change their motives. The twisting of a person gives him some strength but it cannot prevent him from getting attacked. It also doesn't control the effected. Though prolonged exposure to this power would have side effects on someone's personality.

He also has amazing foreshadowing power and in truest sense of the word, psychic. His ability to see the future has aloud him to watch and wait for a moment to strike while waiting many years. In some older mythology an ancient civilization that was wiped out spoke of him as more of a demon. The title Demon of the Souls was used to describe him for many said he had the power to corrupt one's soul.

True. But the magic level is based on the host. Also another thing to take into consideration is that maybe he didn't personally destroy the planet but corrupted enough who in turn were the cause. Also another thing is the history itself, unless I was explaining something was from a mythological view. Killing every living thing on a planet would in turn be viewed to some as destroy it. We also need to consider his use of technology which should be kept in mind.

Of course you are right though. I meant to make it a 5.

Do people even read these things?

Personality. ONE PARAGRAPH.

Foreshadowing? Knowing the future changes the future. No one can be certain of the future even in visions, know that his 'power,' can only be glorified assumptions.

The jumping from body to body limitation does not make sense ICly. Sure OOC we can say okay characters are off limits only NPCs! But ICly? That'd be metagaming. If he has the power he would be able to do any body.

There is no such thing as true evil. All evil has some good, all good some evil. Personally I'd say evil is just misunderstood. But for the sake of not arguing today, explain what you mean by turn them 'evil,' because the way you're wording it now it just sounds like you bring out their Negi.

I think the evil part is pretty self explanatory. Lets use Hikaru as an example. Let say she was really good and never did anything wrong. Akida's power to make her evil or corrupt her would simply make her give in too her more darker emotions. Lets say she hated Celso so much, but she was good so she wouldn't hurt him. Under the power of Akida it would make her kill him even though she wouldn't have normally. Atama's power could take control of her but the problem with someone at that level is he wouldn't have full control and she could easily break it.

A better way of thinking is it makes her give in to emotions like anger, hate, and ones like those. But it cannot force her to do anything she doesn't want. Now as for the foreshadowing powers. You are half correct. Since he saw it the future would change then and there because he is more than likely to act on it. So all it really does is gives him a slighter edge in knowing where he should be and when.

Finally the body jumping power. IC they really won't be able too. I put it up there to explain who he has been able to survive for so long but I don't have intentions to use it. The best way to look at it is when his body dies he'll wait to take another. It pretty much is a phoenix power. Just not exactly the same.

Because you are reading this now Hikaru, I'm going to put this in a seprate post so you'll see it when you back out. I try to make the statements of there personality short in order to keep the character simple. There personalities are going to grow as they do things thus I find it pointless to go into a paragraph detail of their personality and then it ends up changing a few weeks later.

I still want a paragraph of personality. Hawkeye never gets away with it, and neither should you. Make up something, I don't care. Then I'll approve.
