The process of Tainting is a very personal experience, and no two Taints are exactly alike. It varies on the state of a persons Spirit, the type and scope of revenge, the very kind of person they are. That is, of course, in terms of Spirit Energy and Magical Energy.
Tainted energy itself is a neutral energy and it's entire purpose is to be versatile. Tainted Energy exists as a modifier to any existing energy, and often magnifies and improves it. When it comes to technology, Tainted energy differs from it's other manifestations by being relatively uniform. It also changes everything at once, reaching it's full power in the time it takes to fully corrupt the technology.
The one weakness of Corruption is it can take massive amounts of output to corrupt as it takes raw Tainted Energy to convert technology over. Once the power source is corrupted though, it becomes very easy to claim technology. Taints rarely concern themselves with technologies Software, preferring instead to claim the whole hardware. However, Corruption can be an easy way to hack systems. It is not bound by the same rules of the systems it infects and can bypass firewalls and other such security measure.
The really scary part, however, is when Hardware becomes corrupted. Whether it's a computer, or an energy weapon, or an entire ship, Corrupted technology completely bends to the desires of whoever corrupts it. Corruption can change the very nature of the object. Tainted energy is fluid and things infected with it take that nature as well. When hardware is fully corrupted, all that is really used is it power source. It's nature is completely changed.
