Right, so this is the part where I make some big announcement post and we get back to RPing.
For those of you still unaware, Hikaru has left our staff team, and, after much deliberation on the part of our staff and members, we have decided that it is time Shattered Planes takes a new creative direction. We enjoyed great success with the Plexan Planes event in Summer 2011, and tried to follow it up with similar events, only to fail in epic proportions due to a variety of reasons, and for that, we do apologize.
So, what does the future hold for Shattered Planes? Well, you, the members, decided you wanted a fresh new image for the board. As you may notice from a quick stroll of the forum index, we are working on achieving that new image. However; we need your help and advice to get us there, and ask that you, the members, provide input into what you like and don't like about the way we're running things.
But K2, what about the events? We have decided to cancel the two new events that the staff put in place, Eclipse and Genesis. Eclipse ended naturally, with magic being restored and the problem which caused its blockage fixed on its own. As for Genesis, the event which restricted technology, Alpha was defeated by the Mechera, a race capable of leaving behind their bodies and entering cyberspace.
So, where does that put us now?
A month has passed IC since the defeat of Genesis. This month time skip is designed to hopefully give us all some closure about recent events and start off fresh. Yes, you may still post in old topics. In fact, we encourage it. The month time skip is to help you. If you don't understand, feel free to ignore everything I'm saying and just roleplay.
We will not be holding any staff-related events any time soon. We hope to have more staff events, but not for some time, and the events we have will be much less drastic and more simple -- and voluntary. We appreciate your input onto how to improve the event experience. Our event staff works very hard to achieve maximum potential.
So, without further deliberation...
