Content Rating Poll
« on: April 03, 2010, 05:06:30 PM »
We have been, for a few days now, discussing the aim of the board. One thing that has come up is the current content rating of PG-13. With things such as the Pax Rapist and the Orion Companionship, I personally feel that we have already overstepped that limit. And so, I'm looking to you all for your opinions.

We have not yet discussed the particulars about how we are going to handle the transition to the new rating.

What this actually entails is that more detailed situations will be allowed. This still bars cybering, and that will not change. However, it will open the board up for slightly more sexual situations, as well as more graphic battles and other mature situations. We will have a way to give members who do not wish to view such things a way to know what topics contain them, and if it is a plot-important thread I am willing to put my time into reading through the thread and explaining the important stuff.

We are all teens and above here, and I believe we're all plenty mature enough to be able to handle this change without going overboard.

Please do not PM me about this before voting in the poll.

Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.
