The trip was likely exhilarating, but indeed quite short as the two knights touched down at a altar. The entire area appeared to be made as a shrine to the sun, and at this point of the day with the sun at its highest point in the sky, the entirety of the structure's interior was bathed in light despite obviously being indoors. At the center of the main room stood what appeared to be a doorframe without walls. Within the frame was a pool of silver, liquid to touch and glassy in appearance. It reflected not a image of themselves, but instead appeared to shimmer between several images, showing a earthen sancturary beneath a canopy of roots from what must truly be a massive tree, a cave full of waterfalls and powerful rivers, a pitch night sky with a field of bones jutting from the ground far below, a plain of fire stretching as far as the eye could see with black mountains of rock rising in pathways above the infernos...Et cetera. If she approached this Gate with one of the Lands held in her mind, then the Gate would link with that Land's Gate while she was nearby, as long as she remained close to it. The two Knights appeared to pray together within this temple...It may not any longer have been a place of active worship, but it was still their oldest and greatest temple to the patron diety of the Kingdom of Light. This place was holy, sacred ground to them, and they would be respectful to that which it represented while they were there.
Why, something bigger of course! Snuffles may have been big itself, but Elmora was a very big, very dangerous planet. Deciding to be a Hero was still a respected profession, and even working in parties many went forth only to die quite painfully. As Snuffles made his way towards the Gate, very loudly might I add, he caught the attention of many of Elmora's monsters. The first to take a stab at him came from below-The ground tore and broke as a monstrous maw erupted from the earth! A massive worm-like creature, with a hardened carapace made to withstand the temperatures deep below the surface of the planet and a open mouth full of extremely visceral needle-teeth. Acting from below, it had the advantage of the earth itself shielding much of its body, only having its 'mouth' come up for the strike.
