Standing with muscles outstretched holding no weaponry in his hands Zane awaited the start of the first test. It was after all a requirement for full use of the gauntlets and he needed to use the full power of the gauntlets if he was to defeat what his father had failed to defeat. He simply had no choice in the matter. One could not merely destroy destiny with a single slash as easily as they could fight off evil.
"Come to me so that the test may begin. "
He was not like his father and so he was not quivering in fear. Rather he was laughing. Laughing that once he won he could finally lay his father to sleep for good and that he would be free of the responsibility of fighting that evil a 3rd time. Sure he had failed the first and second times to defeat it costing him the physical forms of his parents but they managed to have themselves linked to the Essence just before that so everything should turn out alright correct?
