Veritas vs. Akylos. Again.
« on: May 01, 2010, 08:51:02 PM »
Akylos teleported onto the repaired battle field, ready to fight once more. His fight had been postponed when Hikaru had arrived moments earlier, but now, he was ready to fight. He awaited his opponent, Veritas. This would prove to be an interesting fight indeed. The man anticipated meeting this Starsman.

Bright flashes of near blinding light filled the area and trumpets blew as a white stallion ridden by Veritas entered the Arena. The white stallion had blue soft looking wings on it. Dismounting Veritas removed the glamour that hid his new armor from sight.

"Prepare yourself for Perdition!"

"I am Akylos," Akylos greeted Veritas, bowing slightly, "May the best man win."

As soon as he said this, the floor of the arena changed to a golden metal.

"Burn in Perdition for all eternity. " commanded Veritas and the floor changed color. No longer was it the gold but it was a deep blood red. "Arise the warriors of the past to do my bidding." 5 StarClan skeletons rose out of the ground in armor. Their hands were lit with a violet flame that if it touched would devour the magic of the person. Releasing a fireball as well Veritas started the battle.

However; the flames turn to solid gold, the golden shape of fire falling to the arena floor. The warriors found that their armor was now turning gold as well, rising up to cover them.. To suffocate them.

Veritas concentrated and the gold began to transform into a chess board of all things. One of his arms pulsed with energy while the other extended into the ground and then the arm in the ground rose at the back of his opponent unaffected by the gold. "Negion Fist of Flame!" The arm struck at Akhylo.

However; the attack and the arm itself turned to gold. The ground began to harden, turning to gold as well. The result? Veritas lost his arm, it being turned to gold. His blood then began to turn to gold as well.

Repulsing the unique magic from himself Veritas cast an arm regrowth spell which although painful had the desired effect of stopping the bleeding. "No more parlor tricks. " When he said that two large dragons appeared one to each side of him and breathed white and black fire at Akhylo and Veritas said "Release the Light, Photon!" A beam of purple sealing light shot from his hand at Akhylo following the flames.

Akylos grinned. "It's not a parlor trick. Watch."

And suddenly, the dragon fire and the purple beam changed direction, going back at their master.

"The gold in your blood is infiltrating your soul as we speak," Akylos explained as such things began to happen. A golden casing began to be formed around Veritas' soul, so that he would be unable to use magic when it was complete.

Veritas seeing that his soul was in danger quickly conjured a magical clone of himself and swapped bodies with it, letting it die from the gold instead of him so that he could continue fighting.

"You know, I am not as foolish as I look. "  Holding out his palm Veritas silently mouthed an incantation which caused the gold on the ground to change from gold to a sort of combination of blood and iron.

"Now that your gold is gone..." He dodged the attack that had been repulsed back at him and took out his solar katana. "Solarietta!" A sun appeared, albeit a small one which shot flames at Akhylo and this could not be reflected towards Veritas.

"I never said you were foolish," Akylos noted, looking at the bloodiron ground.. It once more had golden specs in it, some gold having been released from the grounds underneath the platform floor which the fight was taking place on. These golden specs saved Akylos, there forms allowing the blood of the floor to be used for a sacrifice of some sorts. From the bloodirongold floor rose the form of.. a hound, a wolf of some sorts.

This wolf took forth, sucking in the form of the solar attack, and making its own before breathing out the form of the solar energy, it having formed into a solar sword with golden tints which dropped to the ground. Akylos walked forward as the form of the wolf merged with his body. Akylos took the sword and drew it back before throwing it across the battle field, assuring that it would land in Veritas' katana and copy the magic he channeled into it, turning that magic to gold, tracing it to the source; his soul.

Meanwhile, gold remained in this new body's soul as well, as it was a clone, and the gold had become apart of Veritas's soul. Now, the gold was well infiltrating the depths of Veritas's soul. It was commanding the rest of his body, taking over his brain. And its first order of business was to stop Veritas's heart. Soon, Veritas would drop dead. No air was something a sage could deal with, but what if their heart stopped? How would Veritas possibly assure victory over death once more?

Focusing all his will power Veritas forced all of the gold out of existence by channeling a more powerful form of magic than the gold. Namely the ancient starclan magic Pur was flowing through him at the moment.  He had no training but the move came on instinct. With the gold finally gone for good he would now fight.

"Time to put an end to this once and for all Akylos. "  His fist glowing white he touched it to the ground. "Gate of Purity!" A gate of white energy appeared with 3 'mouths' in it which Veritas shot 3 different magics into. A huge golem rose out of it and swung a huge sword to decapitate Akylos.

However; this spell failed to attack Akylos. You see, using a void spell, or anything similar to it, would wipe out even a level sage 5 with years of training in the spell. Veritas had no training with the spell. At all. He damn well would be unable to fight by now, near death. Akylos used this to his advantage by causing the spell Veritas had just used to slowly reverse flow, the energies of the spell being recycled back to his soul.. with traces of gold. With gold once more in his soul, and Veritas now too weak to even move, the battle was well over. The gold began to will itself to force Veritas to forfeit the match.

"I forfeit. " said Veritas. Once the gold had left his system he would begin his plan that he had made. It was a complex plan but it would work if all the elements were put into play at precisely the right moment in time of course. But yet he would need help to do such a spell. Reaching out with his mind to Akylos "I have a favor to ask you."

And in that moment, Akylos and Veritas were teleported off the field, into a quiet area outside the arena.

"What is it?" Akylos asked aloud.

"I can't leave here now. You can. Fact of the matter is at least 1 Starclanner needs to exist on the mortal plane. You can provide for that by using Plex once you gain the power to take Valor or Angel back to the mortal plane personally. "

"Wrooongg, wroonnggg. You pathetic race is all dead AND in Hell for a reason." Rogue announced as he appeared next to the two. "And now since you lost your fight and didn't die, I'm going to set you on fire." The deranged war-lord informed, God fire bursting from his eyes towards Veritas.

Hurling a crystal key into the pocket of Akylos Veritas "Very well Burn me. Just whatever you do don't transfer the information I am thinking of to Akylos. Please don't. " He was thinking of how to prevent anyone from gaining access to the hordes of magical weapons hidden on stariana.

In his mind he  said to Akylos by connecting their minds so Rogue couldn't hear  "Use the gold. Kill me before Rogue does. Take my soul organ though. You will need it. You can trust me on this. "

However due to the nature the place he was in, he regenerated back in his dorm with an AM field courtesy of his mother woven in it. He was badly wounded though from the flame and couldn't even be tortured yet.

((Null. He is gone, plain and simple. Don't like it, too bad.))
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.
