A library was on the other side of the door that Assassin had went through and books crammed every last shelf and also were in piles all over the place for some odd reason. Men in black robes with swords or maces or axes were standing guard and Ace clad in a white robe approached Assassin. "Time to begin your training.  First focus on the absence of magic in your fist. Now go deep into your mind and search for things other than magic, next channel one of those down into your fist. Insert a blockage then and channel more. Release the block and mimic the stretch arm spell." He was trying to keep the lesson simple for Assassin.

Assassin listened to what he said, playing close attention. He drained his arm of magic and began to channel.. something. He blocked whatever he was channeled in his arm before repeating the process.. And then, as he used the arm extension spell, he released the block.

[Zero]

Ace "Excellent. Now we can move onto stage two, externalizing that energy. Don't try using magic but imagine a blade of energy forming in your hands from what you just experienced. " A dummy appeared. "Slash this if it helps."

Assassin began to concentrate. This was somewhat difficult -- he couldn't use magic, but he had to go on the instinct of the force he had felt, pulling upon the energies within his body, and create it in a viable form outside his body. Imagination? It couldn't hurt. After extensive concentration (he found that 'slashing' at the dummy helped), he did manage to produce a blade of energy in his hand.

"Interesting," he remarked.

"Now for the next step. Imagine the energy around you and pull it around your skin and then focus on it becoming armor. What kind of armor I don't really care. " said Ace Thunders. "You have a lot to learn Assassin. " Next he demonstrated how to create a wall of crystal. "We will study more soon. You have a lot to learn Assassin. As a formality though I will do the linkage ritual that will connect us allowing you to draw upon my experience and allowing me to draw upon your more than adequate magic. I won't use it against the Anrufe and you yourself won't use my knowledge against me. "

After the linkage Ace came towards Assassin holding out a set of black robes. "These will be yours now Assassin. They will amplify your essence power for you so that it will allow you to do more powerful essence things."  Holding out his palm Ace materialized a crystal version of Assassin's staff.  "This staff is like yours but also made from Essence. Should allow you to concentrate your essence powers better. "

Assassin bowed, took these gifts, gave thanks, and teleported away.

Before he teleported away Ace Thunders said. "You must face the circle and not use your magic during the fight. " 30 men in similar robes approached Assassin all armed to the teeth with essence weaponry.
