The Red Summoner
« on: August 13, 2010, 04:20:44 AM »
Name: The Red Summoner
Age: 1425
Race: Mazheek
Alliance: The Summoner, God
Biography: Long ago, there was a man who practiced three arts, and excelled at them all. The art of Summoning creatures and objects to fight for you, from various planes of existence. The art of Savyhna, a brilliant martial art focused on dispatching your foe as quickly as possible, and with whatever possible. And the art of Enchantment, imbuing objects with magical properties. Although he wasn't exceptionally skilled in any of these fields, he was certainly talented, and combine the three into his own fighting style. His name lost with time, he became known only as the Red Summoner. The Red Summoner became famous across the galaxy for his art, and the injustice he caused. The Red Summoner used to be one person, but as he grew older, he took on many apprentices, and the term Red Summoner was applied to anybody who practiced the Red art, or the Tresform. This man, is not the original Red Summoner. He was trained by a woman named Sabrina, one of the most talented practitioners of the Red art. Sabrina had also had many run ins with the Summoner, whose real name is Savor.  The student, who graduated to journeyman, took up the name the Red Summoner and embarked on a journey of wickedness. After robbing and killing several towns, the Red Summoner was struck blind and mute. At this time, he encountered God.

The Red Summoner was charged to repent. And he did. When he did, he was given a task by God of the greatest importance, and was granted the title of Warrior, and given a beautiful white box. His quest, was to bring the Summoner away from his dark ways.

It is no easy task.

Weapons: A talented enchanters, his sleeves are lined with enchanted gems that do have any adverse effects, but most of them Summon creatures. He also carries many weapons required by the art of Savynha, such as knuckle dusters, metal gloves, claws, and the like. Many of which are enchanted with unusual combat effects.
Equipment: From a bracelet hangs the Charm, a simply named, and subtly powerful charm forged many years ago. It has the power of luck. Mostly, usually, for the Red Summoner. It changes the odds in his favor, makes unlikely things happen more often. Sometimes, however, this manipulation can shift the scales of nature of balance, making him pay a dear price. Maybe that soldier with a bad aim lands his first perfect shot on you. Maybe your opponent finds themselves with more magical energy than they thought they had. Maybe that bridge that was vital to your plan has spontaneously been flooded out. Basically, once in a blue moon, the Red Summoner gets so much good luck, he has to pay for it by getting one, big, lump sum of bad luck.
Magic Level: 3
Appearance: A long, crimson poncho with a hood hides everything below, but when the poncho is removed, underneath, the Red Summoner wears close fitting red clothes customary of Savynha fighters, with many enchanted items sewn onto the sleeves, on bracelets, and sewn onto his collar. He carries a small, pocket dimension back pack for all his Savynha weapons.

Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.
