Celestie's Ascendence
« on: August 15, 2010, 09:06:48 PM »
Celestie Lertis, the second to undertake the metamorphosis, now stands before Keith in Hell as a new being. Her body's made the change to the form her spirit takes, just as Iroku's has. Due to differences in the actual performance of the change, her armor has been incorporated into her skin to create a mesh-work of tiny curicite scales. Due to the size of the scales, they provide very little change in movement range/speed, and only moderate protection from cutting/piercing weapons. Against things such as maces, hammers or fists, on the other hand, they can be inflated slightly to help disperse impact force. While alone it's of little use, coupled with well-designed armor it can be the difference between life and death.

The majority of the armor's material went into use to form her wings. The curicite molecules are bonded together in an unusual configuration, creating a light but durable webbing rather than the relatively heavy crystal. Because of this, the wing webbing is easier to heal through spells than most would be, but will no longer heal on its own.

Her transformation took small pieces of the cocoon shell and used it to form a decorative design framing her eyes and arms.

The flakes on her face are leftovers from the shell, and will come off with her first wash.

Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.
