The abomination tore the arm converted into a flesh-and-bone club at Carl, before the liquid started igniting violently. The massive fireball tore much of the Mechera's parts, yet it still kept coming after Carl, seemingly unaffected by the goo. Spikes burst from it, cracking through the hard metal all across its body and arms, and it tried to hug Carl...In order to impale him from all directions.

The moment the fire-ball attacked him or tried to and gained those nasty spikes it met the first barrier the one against direct assaults via magical means. The result was that said little fireball found itself sent directly into the sun nearest Frezzi. The club and attempt to hug also met his physical barrier sending the Mechera crashing into a wall the moment he tried. The book was starting to get annoyed, at the constant antics of this Mechera.  Heck with it, he had enough. The book gathered it?s power and generated an EMP type effect in the room to shut down that Mechera, not enough to kill but only enough to immobilize said Mechera. He confined the aoe of the maneuver to the room alone and didn?t allow it to affect the other sane Mechera.

Enough games. I think you have enough Data.

And yet...Something was wrong. The EMP should've disabled the Mechera, but yet it got back up. This time, it clutched it head-thing and started shaking it in a manic fit, before the spikes launched themselves from the creature. By now, it was obvious that these spikes were made of bone as well, and as they were launched, they seemed to be covered with blood. If they'd hit, the 'blood' would corrode his flesh, burn right through it and the bone spikes embedded themselves in his flesh. And as it was, they were launched in a massive wall of spikes.
At the same time, the shields began to distort, as the first one somehow caught fire, the physical barrier beginning to constrict upon Carl and growing smaller with him in it, and the last one turning into a odd combination of nitrogen and table salt. All the while, broken, garmbled sounds emitted from the insane Mechera, sounds that if could be properly heard, would appear to be manic laughter.

Okay, his barriers were not working. Before they could get contact with his flesh, Carl promptly teleported out of the room right next to the Mechera who had began the examinations and said to him. "I can't do this. You have enough data."

"Hm...Interesting...Subject 00-H was able to defeat you...However, I doubt it'll last much longer. Its already beyond the limits of that design..." The scientist remarked, then gesturing towards the monitor. On the screen, they could see the abomination 's room, where several things were happening, all destructive-flames burst into life, walls exploded, the floorcracked apart. Then, suddenly, a glow came from the center of the body, and it began to drip. "Yes, just as I thought..." The scientist said, as the Mechera on the moniter exploded violently, destroying the room and cutting the feed. "Very, very unstable, which is why we need you, after all. good thing you bailed, mhm."

"Let me phrase it to you this way. If you ever attempt to make me do something that insane again.." The book took over the hand not holding it, and lit it with a coppery colored flame and looked at that Mechera with a frown.  This flame would completely destroy any electronic devices and was made from Carl's magic, not that the book had.

"Heh heh...To be fair, you were complaining about it all being too easy. If you want a challenge, then one shall be given. But always realize that it is what one wishes most that might prove to be their demise." He said, glancing in Carl's direction. "But I do thank you for the help. We dont yet have all of the necessary data, but, most of it will be analyzing the data we already have to glean more information from it. Luckily for you, the Unknown source of magical energy is already separate from your body, so thus we wont need to dissect you to study the method of magical production, which will make the rest of the job much easier, and less time consuming. You have our thanks, my friend. We may need you again in the future, so keep that Mark. If we need you, we'll contact you through it. More accurately, I will, since I was the only one who accessed it. Who knows? We might even be able to offer you something for your trouble, you know? Well, in any case, you are free to leave until we need you again, if we shall."

"One thing before I go. It seems that my accounts have not as of yet been unfrozen as of yet for me. And since I need money to do much well....you get the idea. Also can you get Thel to leave well enough alone and not send soldiers after me?" With that Carl touched the book and at his waist appeared what he normally carried. A holster with a small rod of sorts in it more of a short staff. It could expand at his will however.  "Now I must be going.....so..." He breathed in and then did oxygen independency on himself.  With that he looked at the damaged room and smiled. "I'll take a souvenir." And with that a shard of the metal of that Mechera disappeared and then reappeared around his neck as a medallion of sorts.

"And as for things for my trouble. Get all my family's accts unfrozen and transferred to me and get the army off my back. Then we will be even."

"Unfreezing the accounts should be little trouble; we ARE Gregory's personal scientists, after all. And as for Thel..." He said, tapping the Mark Carl had,"You've got this. No Mechera soldier will dare attack someone with this Mark, without the word of Gregory himself backing the order. You are, as of now, above Thel's means to legally arrest. You are not above the law, but as far as things go, you're pretty damn close, my friend.
"And as for us being even...Trust me, you might like what we can come up with from the research. I doubt we'll have anything solid for a good while, but its a start."

These scientists were easy to get along with. Since he was now above the means of the general he despited the most in the military, Thel Valdemee Carl allowed himself a rare smile something he had not done in a long time. Still though he had a long ways to go if he wanted to get ahead, and the first step would be the most difficult one he would have to undertake. Yes, he would have to eliminate the problem of the Anrufe in the long run along with the threat of the BG. However, he had to admit once these soldiers finished Pseudo Magic, he could put it to use and create a project that would if his father was still alive impress him. If Thel did not once more get in the way that was. As he pondered this, Carl?s face tensed up as did his entire body.

"Also you mind dealing with Interpol? I would rather not have them on me as well. Sort of don't have time to handle those idiots."
