Empire Name: United Confederation of the Heliphlein Empires (or UCHE)
Primary Race: Heliphleix (just to clear something up, Heliphlein is the plural/ possessive form of Heliphleix)
Empire Description: A large empire living on a gas planet and it's moons.
Additional Information: (History) In the distance of the Helin world of Calconva, there lived a race called the Heliphlein. They fought a bunch until a wandering sage came and had them unite. He left them with the parting gift of nine unbreakable swords (which I will go into later), and a barrier allowing no other nation to see the planet they resided near. They were a race of high morals, and vast emotion. Many had a magical ability, which was controlled based on emotion. They were volatile, and this was hazardous to everyone associated with them. Alisec studied the emotion of boredom. She was able to figure how to help magic's control their emotion, and accidentally figured out that most emotions could be triggered by anyone with just a key word. These were called restrained emotions, and ones that could not be so easily conjured up were called restricted. There have been ways people have tried to cheat restricted emotion, but they often are unreliable.
The most powerful restricted emotion was nonlove, or torment. Erros, an emotion of romance that is best described as true love, was a strong emotion. Once felt, it could never be forgotten, or felt with someone else. It could only be felt in the presence of that one person. The only real problem of it was torment. If you're partner died or betrayed you, you would suddenly be able to feel torment. Torment is both the most powerful, and most volatile magic. Seeing this after a particularly large accident, the governing council banned unarranged marriages. They were going to institute a system to prevent love.
The non-magics were offended by this, and were going to rebel. A non-magic, Pheylon, stopped it by convincing both sides not to go to war, but split into two kingdoms.neither side liked this, but preferred it to a Pyrrhic victory. The nonmagics were given the continent of Velif, and became known as the Velifan. Ephlangar, the magic nation, was given Ephel. The remaining (and smallest) continent of Enris was considered no-mans land.
Velifan started creating non-magical technology at large, and in roughly 1000 years were making short term space flights. The Ephlangar, who had never dreamed of exploring the heavens, started creating space flight as well. It always paled in comparison to Velifan technology. after about 47 generations, the two made up and became the UCHE. They are now planning an exploratory mission outside of their system.

Helin is a large gas planet with 8 moons. It is teeming with all kinds of substances in gaseous states. The Heliphlein have set up a mining operation on it, and are benefiting from nearly unlimited resources and new advances in study. Helin has 12 moons, 9 of witch are inhabitable.
