A break
« on: May 27, 2011, 06:58:32 PM »
It has been real. I cannot say that some of it has been fun like the constant losses but they have taught me something. Namely that I stink too badly to continue on this site and so I am taking a long break so that I can try to improve. At this point I have decided to leave all my stuff to Hiro, because I know he can use it better than I can and play the characters better. If he chooses not to accept, then Zak or Lyoko or Orga will get them. Also during this duration my characters CAN be attacked or the planets can be, since I have at the moment lost interest in SP.  Maybe when I return I will get back the interest, but who knows at this point in time?

Also,  if I don?t return
Hiro-Narrikian Empire is yours along with everything of theirs.
Lyoko- You get the Veldorians
Orga- You take charge of Ken since he now is the employer of your char.
The rest is to be divided among yourselves.

...Hawk, seriously ENOUGH!

Taylor once said this and now I'm also saying it. You have too much crap. Tech everyday, characters every week, empires out the wazoo! Do you EVER use it all? No! It gets piled up with your other requests and wasted. Why? Because you die the next week or lose everything or fail at trying to be diplomatic.

Well, I'm sick of it. Stop requesting stuff unless you fully intend to use it and know for a fact you can keep it and back it up. I refuse to approve another stupid character or topic full of tech failures until you improve and can live up to your requests.

You've got a walking talking trashcan that can somehow use magic, oh wait, that's an android. You've got the motherbrotherunclescousin of all your chracters ALl ALWAYS on the same side. Never any different. You never fight yourself unless it's platonic drama that bores the reader and just wishes the character would off its self already.

What's more! Someone makes something and you want THAT! Their race, their powers, their abilities, their special things you don't have. Why? Is it because you want to add something cool and help them develop their story? NO! Once again, it's just so you can win. You bug and harass and annoy constantly for or about their stuff, just so you can feed your winning complex you seem to have.

You're using characters as tools. Nothing more but to get you up in the rankings and let you win.. This is a roleplay Hawk, a story It's not always about you and you winning. It's about character development and doing your part to further the plot and contribute the story. Stop treating it as a damn board game, and start living the adventure.

ENOUGH!!!

You're now hereout on request probation.

Hawk, there is a reason why Hik banned you from making anymore requests on anything, and it's exactly what it says in the post I quoted. Quitting SP does you little to no good, at all, and you will more than likely still have the problem that Hikaru is trying to remedy from you. Let your current stuff play it's course, and actually try to participate in a story for the sake of being another character that goes beyond one's current abilities rather than trying to take over everything all at once.

My suggestion: Take one character, and roleplay only with him. In this entire time you're roleplaying as him, you are to not take over anything or attempting to gain anything at all. That always gets you killed for whatever reason. Instead, take that character and build on his/her background for a bit, enjoy a side story/quest/whatever you want to call it for him/her. Instead of fighting all the time for no reason other than attempting to gain stuff (But always ending up biting off more than you can chew.), take a month or so and enjoy the story aspect.
Get some entertainment out of interacting with other characters and their stories as well. You can probably even contribute to their stuff provided you enjoy yourself. Eventually while doing this, you will find that you can improve on your RPing skills and you can think up of more stuff while you're doing this.

And when I mean more stuff, I mean good, solid, very flexible and easily expandable stuff, not just a bajillion stuff that can be found anywhere a dime a dozen.

Also, taking a break from SP does not improve your skills for SP. Now, taking a break from SP if you're tired of it is beneficial, but you will most definitely not improve while away.
