Honor and Duty

[Zero]

Of all the indignities, this one would take the cake. As she received communications from the personal line of her husband, Katrina scowled. Things were getting worse and fast, he was currently fighting for his life against some unknowns, and had to bust out the seraph crucifix again. Well something had to be done to eliminate the unknowns and then when he told her about the tech he needed her to complete, she got the idea that she could be of assistance. Even though not directly, she could help by getting the tech he needed produced. So Katrina began to cast a set of several spells. The first made an illusion near her of the planet, the second would divide the illusion into a grid. The third would seek out the head of the sciences, or where they would approximately be on the illusion and get the coordinates for the actual location on the planet and the last one would open a portal. After that, she walked through the portal. Unlike most, she had no weapons with her.

"Now where could the head of sciences be?"

As she entered the Sciences department she was greeted by a young fioan man in a white lab coat. He was a crow kind Fioan.
"Hello Miss, is there something I can do for you?" He smiled, warmly.

[Zero]

"I have a lot of projects I need to get made, but no materials to make them with. I've got schematics and pieces of tech that need to be combined and stuff that needs to be built but lack the time or resources to do it myself." said Katrina. "So if you could help me....I would appreciate it." A schematic for a suit of price powered armor, an artificial psi system, the SDT units and other tech appeared on her in the form of a backpack.

[King Jeebus]

"I'll take you over to the requests department. The general contract tends to be a set amount of credits for us to create it, then we make and sell it to you." The Fioan explained, leading her down a long corridor before entering another reception area. He approached the desk "We have a visitor who wishes for us to create some tech for her." He then bowed to Katrina and left.
The receptionist wrote something down on a piece of paper, handed it to an assistant who then ran off into the areas behind her. "I can book you in in about an hour to speak to one of our negotiators. They'll be deciding the worth of the contract"

"Alright. I can wait. " Katrina did not need that blasted AI fouling up her technological work so that her husband would survive. It needed to be made if he was to survive for all the trouble that he had went through with the intruders, well she was going to ensure he lived at least. With that, she would sit down and wait for an hour.

[King Jeebus]

A Fox Fioan in a lab coat approached Katrina "Hello there!" He was grinning from ear to ear, she would likely be able to see his fanged teeth "My names Markius, i'll be negotiating your contract today" He bowed and offered her a hand to shake.
He then lead her to an office type of room. In it was a table with two comfy seats at either side of it. There were also two empty glasses in front of either seat.
Markius sat in the seat furthest from the door and motioned for Katrina to sit opposite him.
"May I offer you a drink?" He smiled, pouring water from a jug into his glass and tapping it once. An alchemic circle at the base of the glass glowed blue and the water became iced tea.

"Thanks."

With that she slid off the backpack, and materialized a copy of the NET ring. She put the copy in a pocket of the backpack.

"I understand you are good with tech..." This was said after she took a sip of the iced tea.  "Well in that backpack is some old stuff that is considered outdated and although outdated it could work with a few upgrades to it if you would be willing to build the stuff or get it built."

[King Jeebus]

Markius nodded and smiled "What would you be willing to offer us to create such technology for you?" He was taking notes.

[Zero]

"For one, all the research into magic I have made. For two, the technology to create genetic experiments. And for 3." She pulled out a check for 3 billion credits and slid it across the table.

[King Jeebus]

"The technology, I assume that's Narrikian? Unfortunately we already have such technology." Markius looked down at the check "That most certainly covers the cost of the parts but...." He smiled "Unfortunately research of magic is something the mages guild care about; This is the science department" He chuckled "Do you have anything else to offer? Ships or such?"

[Zero]

"Schematics for old ships. "

With that she magicked up a PDA.

"Also I will need you to invent something like AAM, but undetectable to most modern scanners. If possible. AM fields are getting to be a galactic size headache."

The PDA was old, but contained some stuff Delta couldn't have accessed. Information on a few ship classes they had and the technology of the muramasa beam as well.

[King Jeebus]

"Anti Anti Magic?" Markius inquired "As far as we are aware it's impossible to make AAM undetectable. However we will look into it." He took the PDA "This seems adequate. We will make three pieces of technology for you for this price. Could you specify the exact technology you wish to be created?" He continue to make notes

[Zero]

"Take this." She held the NET ring out.

A suit of price powered armor appeared. "Combine it with that."

"And add something so that AI Delta can't overwhelm the armor.  That is the first piece of tech."

"The next is rather difficult. The second skin must undergo a complete upgrade. And removal of any computer flaws from it, double or triple the strength and speed boost. "

"And the last is something that can counteract the Grunder Industries weapon known as the Excavation Beam."

[King Jeebus]

"We can likely do that for you." Markius bowed and smiled to Katrina "Where will you be staying for us to deliver this technology to you?"

[Zero]

"Here on the planet Fioa. Until my work is done. "

Katrina smiled at Markius. "Things are working according to plan."

[King Jeebus]

"It will be a day or so. We have a couple of scientists just working on smaller stuff." He stood and walked to the door "If you come back late tomorrow you can pick up your tech."

[Zero]

"Alright. I can wait."

Coming back the next day, Katrina waited. Late in the day she waited.

"Well?"
