Origins
The collective term used to describe the Qui Venit Primum (meaning, "ones who came first"), and their many child races. The QVP are regarded as the "quantum foam" -- the building blocks of the entire Origin species. Without them, the others (Arcani, Horde Swarm Flood, etc.) would not exist.

History
The Beginning
The QVP began as one, who then cloned himself three times. There is speculation as to why the first QVP disappeared, but it is widely believed that there might have been a small conflict in between the time the first clones were created, and when more QVPs (called Secundi), were spawned. For a while, life was simple on Tallion I. The Secundi lived perfect lives, while the three QVP "governed" them. Everything was fine, until one particular Secundus called for "a new age", and pushed for separation. This obviously created upset, and soon, sides were taken, and lines were drawn. Before things became too hot to handle, the QVP decided it best to grant those who wanted to live in separate regions full autonomy. These regions became "countries", and were the first in Origin history. Each of these countries were given an equally-divided territory which with to live in. Tallion I itself was now made up of Northern Tallion, Southern Tallion, Eastern Tallion, Western Tallion, and the QVP-governed province, Central Tallion.

The Schism
The massive emigration from Tallion I, leading to the colonisation of many different planets, galaxies, and universes, was caused by an event called "The Schism", whereupon all Origins (QVP and Secundus) left in logistically-managed groups, called Pilgrimages. What caused The Schism was a mix of bad politics, tensions between the five nations, and evidence suggesting a full-scale war was imminent. Some legends say that the QVPs were coming up with a way to initiate a war between the four Secundi-ruled nations (North, West, East, and South), which would allow the QVP to step in under the guise of damage control, and reunite all of Tallion I with them in power. Whatever the case, tensions began to flare up, and a brief conflict was fought in the Central capital of Pit'oli. This would be known as The One Week Battle, and the starting point that would lead to the finish line that is/was the The Exodus.

The Exodus
The Secundi felt a strong desire to leave their homeworld altogether. And the QVP, knowing that nothing could be done about it, decided to grant them their wish. "Exitus in Domum Mundi", or "The Exit from Our Homeworld" logistic plan was created. In groups no smaller than 100, no greater than 1,000, the Secundi began to leave their former homeworld behind -- some fearful of the misunderstood, some hopeful of the future and new start. When an emigrant group would arrive on a planet they intended to colonise, they "checked in" via a connection the QVP established to make sure they all arrived safely, and were put into a different group called a Pilgrimage. Records show seven Pilgrimages, but there are, of course, much more. Because the Origins are such a biologically diverse (and generally diverse) species, their new homes caused some of them to evolve and become other races. Now, there's no telling how many Origin-descendant species there are in the multi-verse.

Beyond
The QVP stayed behind and governed the few Secundi that were left. Many years later, some Lore was recovered in a cave outside of Korengal Province, Tallion. It was written by the very first Origin to have ever lived. In the form of a book, the cover read, "Annalium Conceptionis", which meant, "Chronicles of Conception". Upon further reading, it was revealed to be a log that a scientist conducting an experiment would write. It was turned over to the QVP, who found the "author" -- a "P. Yggdrasil". Yggdrasil was the very first Origin, and the creator of the QVP. When they realised this, the three quickly locked the book away, realising that Yggdrasil had been watching them the whole time. But why -- what was his purpose? This was and is very unclear. Only time will tell.

Extra
Tallion I is still populated, and is still in a universe, far, far away. What's known is that it is still populated -- although sparsely. About .5% of the Origin population from the Age of Tri still live there -- about 1,200. Tallion I is now split between the Overworld and the Underworld. The surface is all ruins, giving evidence of one (or many) devastating conflict(s) having taken place there sometime between UC 3350 (two centuries after the Lore was found) and UC 4590 (the Arcani arrived in the SP universe).

Racial Shit
The Origins are a highly adaptive and evolutionary biological species, based on the smallest living unit, the cell. Because of this, their abilities can be very broad, so the following -- unless cited otherwise -- applies to their traits during the Age of Tri, and what they could be capable of.

Anatomy
During the Age of Tri, they had a relatively humanoid form and appearance. Very few visual records exist however, with the only actual sources being citations in Lore. But because of the highly evolutionary traits of the Origins, their anatomies -- much like everything else -- are greatly varied. Despite this, they do have a "basic stage" form -- if stripped of their assimilated DNA and left to their pure Origin roots -- which varies in appearance. Some appear to be a single-celled creature, others resemble a pool of matter, or a strange, gelatinous form. While in their basic stage, they cannot fight or otherwise defend themselves. They can, however, assimilate DNA and take the form of some living thing.

Abilities
Vary greatly, due to their adaptability and evolutionary habits. Will tend to either adapt (change inwardly), or evolve (change inward and outwardly) to survive in areas where they otherwise couldn't, progress themselves and enhance the gene pool, or just to give themselves an edge. For a general collection of what they can do, think of how a single-celled organism works. Things like cloning, and matters of biology are assumed traits, as they are based off of single-celled creatures.

Magic
No Origins have been known to use magic. During the Age of Tri, however, there was an underground cult in the Eastern country that was working on "chaos magic", but they were quickly found and executed, due to the East being totalitarian, and illegalising all "alien concepts". Legends suggest that there are magic-using Origins out there somewhere.

Psi
While still not significantly a racial trait, more Origins practice this than magic. The QVPs had an ability of this type. Speculation suggests that the Origins are responsible for Psi -- the ability to manipulate and effectively transmute it, rather. What they lack in magic, they usually make up for in psi.

Intelligence
While usually very smart, there are a few dumb ones, regarded as "defective persons" in Origin society. There intellects put them in an elite category. They are usually innovator, heavy-hitters, and forward-thinkers in the fields they muck about in. Some Origin societies (like the Arcani) help their defective kin with things like blue-collar work, or simple, mainstream jobs, while others use them as cannon-fodder in times of war.

Physical Strength
Lacking in this department, which they compensate for in strength, adaptability and potential. Still stronger than your average humanoid species, surprisingly enough.

Potential
They excel here, as well as in a few other categories. Because they react to their environments faster than most races, they tend to climb the ladder of potential before most even get on the first step.
