1. The cycle of repeating existence has got to be changed or at least edited. I mean, come on. Big O did it, Wolfs Rain did it, AIR did it, Homestuck did it, and several other freakin' fiction works did it. It is a cliche' and a very annoying one to read, at that. SP has usually been at least somewhat original, and for us to go this route would be completely ruining that originality streak.
2. In the Perfect/Imperfect days the Phoenix part has to be there somewhere as it is highly significant due to the Arami Scrolls and the power the Perfect feared.

Gnostic Force: A massive force of which all life is a part of, which makes up what we percieve as "Existance". It is unclear if this was created by God.
It's not "created by God," it IS GOD. The collective consciousness is God. Go re-look up the theory.

Sage: A magical race of humanoid like figures capable of shapeshifting into certain "mythological" animals.
I thought we agreed that the original Sages WERE mythological animals that decided to take Perfect form (Humanoid) and then later they mated with other sages in that form, for so many years that eventually the special forms and powers they would have had in their pure blooded form was bred out of them and they became 'Mutt Sages' aka humanoid non-special sages we have now?
5. I'm sorry but the whole Koty and Eli created Free Will thing is just stupid. There were already races before Koty and Eli created most of the races. They created most of them, yes. But not all. Like the Phoenix Sages and some other Sage types. I'd like to thinks some of the mythological animals were around in the Perfect days, like the highly ancient ones.
