Gotta Catch Em' All!
« on: February 22, 2012, 01:00:12 PM »
Throughout the years, the City of the Suvian or "Lus", as the city had recently been christened, had become extravagant in its design. The streets were spotless, the buildings gleamed in the artificial sunlight and the flora, grown as well as tended to by the many AI, grew lushly throughout the planet providing true oxygen to its inhabitants. The city was truly a remarkable work of art, created and maintained through a near-perfect balance of both Magic and Technology that kept the planet self-maintained. The inhabitants were mostly happy (at least no one ever complained though they had the full right) and the Lus empire that had risen, flourished.

Amongst it all, there arose a certain form of artificial intelligence that the leaders, Rev, and Gen had introduced to the city earlier on. The ARI. Simply known as Augmented Reality Intelligences, the ARI were special in that they were not just an artificial intelligence but were also a physical simulation. Like the planet its self, the ARI could be created, edited, and put to use in a number of infinite ways.

The first ARI had been simple. A bright pink duck with purple eyes, it had been a mixture of an animal from Earth and a simple artificial intelligent personality. Payment to Lucien for a lesser item that had value to Rev and Gen. Since then, the children had advanced the system and completely automated it to allow others to create ARI. From the smallest child to the oldest adult. Anyone could create an ARI.

Through this, the ARI had become popular. People of Lus would go on to create ARI for many things. They would create them as partners in battle, simple pets, assistance to them in life, and even as a member of their family or their lover.

ARI could be designed to be anything and do anything. They varied in numbers and were diverse in form. From creatures to humanoid, the ARI were only limited the imagination of their creator. If one had no creativity, their ARI would be simple and bland compared to an ARI created by say, an artist, or author. And the ARI of Children? They were the most creative, given the form of the child's highest dreams.

Children trained, designed, traded, and even battled their ARI at times. No two ARI were ever the same. And what one ARI didn't have compared to another ARI, they could always be traded or battled for.

ARI was the new fad in Lus.
